Statues removed/Just returned from week trip!!

We just got back from a week trip Feb 20-28 and the Mickey statues were removed Feb 25 during the night. Was a surprise when you returned to MK and seen them to be gone. We thought maybe because of the stormy/rainy weather but cast member said were taken to the board of directors wanted them at the stockholder meeting.

Any other questions?? just got back - alot of people due to Mardi Gra in New Orleans was the reason. So still think middle of January best for crowds. We went with our 2 year old son = was alot different then last year when he was only 1 -...

Next trip planned for October, 2004...... can't wait to be back.

I hope they bring them back! I've read they would be there through April... I really, really wanted to get some pictures!

Any one know if they are permanently gone? Seems like a lot of work to move them around...

does anyone know if you can buy mini replicas of the statues? We really like the mickey playing hockey one. We have only seen them in pictures.

if it is really true that they were taken to the stockholders meeting...I think that is kind of crappy! They should be left where everyone can enjoy them...not put where a select few can see them! The stockholders should be like everyone else...they should have to travel to see them, unless they are in a city that is on the original schedule for the Mickeys to be taken to on their way to Disneyland Resort!

According to an Orlando Sentinal article last week they are not returning. Apparently, they are going on tour around the country for other events, but are not coming back to Disney World.

Who knows!! They might someday, but it doesn't sound like it.

For some reason Disney doesn't seem to be updating their info. This link gives more specifics to location within the cities.

My understanding (at least from the Boston Visitors Bureua) is they are going to be scattered around and it is a no fee just come see type thing
