Looking for opinions and ideas
.
I decided to take a last minute (for us) trip to WDW. DS10 and I will be checking in Sun Aug 10 and checking out Fri Aug 15. We booked a studio at SSR, the only resort available with short notice. We are going to try to keep our expenses down, so well be eating breakfast in the room and possible a snack or other light meal. Can we do this in a studio? And with somewhat healthy options? I know we will be restricted with only having the sink, small fridge, and microwave. I had original booked a 1BR, then switched after further thought. DS will sleep with me regardless if we have 1 bed or 5 beds ..thats just what he does. Every time DH is out of town on business he migrates to my bed. And we typically dont spend too much downtime in the room when its just him & I .so I was feeling guilty even thinking about a 1BR.
For breakfast Im thinking maybe a bagel, pop tarts or donuts for DS (not exactly my idea of healthy, but its vacation right), fruit, milk, and yogurt. I might even make some breakfast burritos before we leave home, freeze them, and transport them to WDW .they stay frozen for a REALLLY long time. Well eat lunch in the parks; this will be our big meal of the day. Then that leaves me with snack/light meal options. Well be flying in, and taking ME ..so no rental car. We can however set up a grocery delivery through wegoshop, as in the past. Or we can bring a few things from home, or pick things up in the store at the resort.
Give me ideas, so we can make this work. Id like to keep them somewhat healthy and simple/easy to prepare.
