Does anyone now how much longer the $1200 or more ($8 off a point) incentive is going to last? I thought I heard through the end of August. Is there a chance they could extend this? If not, is there a chance a new incentive could start? Are these incentive type deals norm for DVC or would we not see anymore anytime soon?

Any DVC experts out there that could help me out? :) :) :)

I don't know the history of the incentives, but as a person with a marketing background, I'm fairly certain that you can expect other incentives to pop up if they drop the $8 discount. Probably some will be marginally better or worse than the other. It would only be speculation to try and determine what they intend to do next, but IMHO at $98 per point with no incentives, it would be a hard sell.

My guide told me he would call me before it ended-I want to get another contract, but want to wait as long as possible to pay less dues, but still get 2005 points. He mentioned I should wait til Nov., but would let me know if it was to end before that.

We are in the process of buying and I have been asking a ton of questions. My sales rep with DVC explained that the current incentive of $8 off per point is good through the end of the fiscal year (End of September 2005). As of the first of October they would either: keep the same promotion or introduce a new one. They have no idea what the new ones might be. But, he told me that we could pay the $500 initial deposit now to lock in at the current incentive. But, wait until October to send the remainder of the deposit and sign all of our paper work. Then we can switch to the new incentive if we like it better. The waiting is killing me but, I would be sick if we didn't wait and then the new incentive turns out to be better. I'm going to call him on Tuesday to find out what needs to be done about banking points since our use year is March and we were suppose to bank by August 31. I know that we have a grace period but, I want to make sure that it doesn't affect our ability to wait for the new incentives.
