Split Stay Question

To all of you professional DVC members out there, I need a little information. If I split a stay between two resorts will the resorts arrange to get my luggage to the new resort or will I have to tote it myself? Thanks.

That is a good question. I would call member services to see how you can do it. I'm sure there is a way for them to help you get it to another resort without having to carry it all yourself.If they are both DVC resorts or on your points, maybe you can convince ms to shuttle you over in one of the vans. I would think they would take care of their own. It is good business practice, because if you tell family or friends how DVC went out of their way to help you and make you vacation much easier for your family, it may get others that you tell about this, interested in becoming a future member.

We've split stays, both between 2 DVC resorts as well as between 1 DVC/1 non-DVC resort. Bell Services will always transfer your luggage for you. Just call them the night before you're going to switch to arrange a time. Once, at SSR, we didn't even have to be in the room, just left the luggage right inside the door and went on our way. When we got to our new resort, it was waiting for us.

We did a three night stay at BCV followed by a six night stay at OKW over the Christmas holidays. The luggage transfer was extremely convenient and smooth (and we transferred some refrigerated items). The one thing you need to be aware of is that you must now be in your room for the luggage to be picked up and you must call for your luggage when you get to the new resort and be in the room when the luggage is delivered. I understand that this may be a change in policy (we were told it was a new policy, and others have confirmed having the same experience), but it really was no inconvenience.

Thanks for the assist. I may be splitting a stay between to DVC resorts during the christmas holidays and wanted to "see the world" for our first stay since becoming members. Thanks again.
