We'll be at WDW celebrating my brother's 40th birthday and my parents 50th wedding anniversary. We'd like to do one special dinner. We'll be eating at a few other table service restaurants so our food tab for the week will be quite high (seven people). I realize Disney prices are high so it's important that the experience be very good and worth the high price. I've narrowed it down to:

California Grill
Jiko
Bluezoo
Citrico's
Narcoosee's

I would pick Narcoosee's but we also like California Grill. Other's like Jiko but the flavors they use just don't match our tastes.

I would choose California Grill or Narcoosse's. Make sure when you book the reservation that you mention the birthday and anniversary you are celebrating. They will do something for them..most likely a free dessert.
Enjoy your trip! :goodvibes

I ate @ Jikos 11/30, Ca. Grill 12/1 and Narcoosees 12/6 -

All three had fantastic food and wonderful service. I personally liked Narcoosees best, I liked the location and we were seated next to a window when the water pageant went by - I just really liked the atmosphere, but any of the 3 would make for a great celebration dinner.

1) For such a special event, I would pick a special place.
2) Most WDW eateries are too noisy with impolite people.
3) Pick somewhere more stately.
. . . Shula's
. . . Blue Zoo
. . . Il Mulino
4) Or, go 5-minutes off-property for better places.
. . . Johnnie's Steakhouse (Crossroads Shopping Center)
. . . Charlie's Steakhouse (Hwy 192)
. . . Columbia Italian (Downtown Celebration)

I'd say most of the people on this thread have never been to bluezoo or they wouldn't be picking the other locations.

The finer restaurants at the Swan/Dolphin resorts are several notches better than any of Disney's signatures, both in terms of food quality and presentation, and the service you will get.

I vote for Citricos. The food and service are incredible. It is a great restaurant for a large group.

Cal Grill would be my second choice. The food is good, not as much room for a large group. They may stick you in the wine room, The views are incredible.

I would go to Shula's in the Dolphin. It's an awesome meal and if they like football there's lots to see!

My vote is Bluezoo unless you want to order a special custom cake to be delivered to the table for dessert. If you want to do something like that, then I'd pick Citrico's.

I would go to Citricos. I love Jiko too but Citricos's steaks are of higher quality and the restaurant is quieter than Jiko.

Unless you want lobster at Narcoossee's, I think Shula's would be a great choice. And then there is the Palm, which is a favorite of lots of folks.

However, if you mean by "special" as something different, try House of Blues with the band playing or the Gospel Brunch, if your group likes that sort of entertainment.

Enjoy
