Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued

I kept meaning to stop by and introduce myself to the old thread. Since you all have just moved, it seems a good time to say - Hello

My family and I are booked for our very first Disney Cruise and we are getting ever more excited. We have traveled numerous times to WDW and last year we tried our toes in the water with a tiny RCCL cruise at the end of our WDW vacation - we all loved and said we needed to try Disney next. When I read about the 5 day with the 2 CC stops, I just knew that was the cruise for us!

Hey, that sounds familiar. We did a short 4 night job with RCCL with a stop at their Island and we had a lot of fun. We had the same idea when we saw this one. I can't wait for Castaway Cay! x2!!

Elaine, I'm guessing snow lightning is lightning during a snow storm. Wow, I didn't know there was such a thing. We've been pretty lucky here in VA; we've only had a little over an inch of snow. With all the reports of record snow, I don't think I'll be moving back north anytime soon! I'm positive it's beautiful, but my old back couldn't stand the shoveling!

Yes it is lightning during a snow storm....it was very strange to be outside shovelling and to have the sky light up and then the rolling thunder.....

They are now saying we are getting ANOTHER snow storm on Tuesday.....Leslie...is the cruise room available??????????????????????????

Thanks everybody for the birthday wishes, cards and gifts. Don't know what I did to deserve such great friends but I sure appreciate all of you.

Cheryl put together an intimate party for me with ribeyes on the grill, champagne, gifts and a rootbeer float cake. I guess we will see the kids and grandkids next weekend at Disney to finish off the celebration.

Oh, and we are on the opposite side of the state closer to Philadelphia - Reading to be more precise...as in the railroad for any Monopoly fans.

I was also wondering about various nights on this special cruise. I thought maybe I missed the info somewhere, but I am gathering from others comments that it has not been announced yet? Well, that will be exciting when we know!

Well, I just pased my hazwhoper 40 class, 16 more hours of classes and I will get a Disaster response Cert.
Hope that I never need it but, in the event of some Disaster, I would be called to Respond. Something about a National Data Base!
