Ok here is the real deal. First I called
Disneyland 3x to ask about these tickets. I was told by 3 different people 1) in guest relations 2) by someone in ticketing and the third by random info person, that ID is required to purchase them but not to use them, and that a So Cal person needs to show ID but can buy up to 8 per day. My friend in San Diego bought 1 for us at Albertsons NO ID was asked for at the store. We (my friend and I) used it for our trip and we were never once asked for ID. I have an AP NO I did not share the ticket with her. The person in ticketing said that NO they are not supposed to ask for ID. I then said "but the people on the boards are saying that they are" he said that was for pre printed military tickets and that I should not listen to the people on the boards but to him because he works there" Take it for what it's worth we never had trouble. (I say "WE" because we were traveling together but I have an AP)
No, that's not the "real deal." People are sent away daily because they have a Summer 3-day pass and no ID to show for it. It has especially become a problem this month. And here's an e-mail I got straight from Disney customer relations when I asked how I've been told by cast members that ID is not required for use:
