thats what i had there, it looked like and tasted like meat chili, then a few hours later i realized what i had done, and i didnt hate myself.
Exactly! Honestly if they sold that brand of vegan meat here I'd buy it. I looked!
your right about the money adding up, it was nice to save all of my snack credits from the week and spend them all here.
Very nice. If you had the quick serve plan I could see where that would be good. We considered it but because a lot of our dinners were at signatures, none of the dining plans really penciled.
Thanks! I was relieved it turned out, I didn't even taste it until we sat down to eat.
I had found the Kona Brewing Co. restaurant when I was researching the area and it was definitely on the list! Sounds like they have good pizzas there.
I love the catchphrase "Liquid Aloha"!

I think the pint glass will be coming home with me!
They have great pizza! We had pizza our first visit, I had fish tacos the 2nd (no clue what Jeff had though lol). Isn't that the best saying? I have a great hat from there but it just has the logo, I wish it said that on the back somewhere.
That mole looks good. Good to know its easy...I may have to try it soon! I love your kitchen and I covet your stove in a very big way.

I'm living in a rental whose kitchen hasn't been updated since 1960....I so want a nice kitchen some of these days.

It was so easy, I loved it! Thank you very much on the kitchen, I rather love it myself. It is the only functional kitchen I've ever had and was so fun to design it around the way I cook. I was incredibly lucky to find a builder that let me turn a spec house into semi custom and gave me free reign in a lot of areas, most notably the kitchen. I was also really lucky to get the advice to think about how I cook when laying it out, I think that's been the biggest gift of all. She (my builder) fought me on a few things (the giant professional grade hood over the cooktop being one of them) but I got my way.

Decades with hoods that didn't suck, literally, and then the constant fire alarms. Most hoods are not remotely big enough, they are supposed to cover I think 2/3 of the surface area of a cooktop to get the job done.
It may sound corny but it really does give me joy every day. I was just telling Jeff the other night (house is 8 years old now) that it's so cool to look at it and not feel like I regret any of the choices, or that it feels dated and that every single upgrade we did was worth it in spades. I can relate though, I spent a few decades in horrible kitchens with nightmare appliances or that were to difficult/expensive to upgrade for different reasons.
I was relieved especially as I didn't taste test it at all or add a thing beyond the changes I made initially.
Nice job Cynthia! It looks great. You're a dinnertime heroine, and now Jeff knows why you needed that Disney trip.
I created a monster, now he wants me to make the kind with Chocolate in it.
I'm impressed that you have your own pot-cam!
otherwise known as...the iphone.
Yummy looking mole! Sounds like you had a nice dinner, well done, Cynthia!
Thanks!

Ok, I don't feel so bad for you now.
No, I can't complain can I?
That is awesome! Glad you found the ingredients. Now you have me curious... been craving mexican...and tired of the same ole dishes. I might have to consider trying this. Of course... I don't have the same kind of kitchen you do!

that is an amazing stove. I imagine anything you cook on it turns out well.
I knew at least one of my local stores carried them, they may all I don't know (and they are actually available whole, canned in the Hispanic section as well) but I wasn't sure if it was a seasonal item, I'd kind of thought they might not be there at this time of year. It is super easy and you definitely don't need much to do it. Pot, stove, blender. Done. Thank you on the kitchen, I absolutely adore my cooktop that's for sure and it gets a workout. It was definitely one of the bigger upgrades when we built the house and worth every penny. I would definitely not go so far as to say the stove makes everything turn out well, I wish! It is not terribly fun to clean though.
