Nightlife on the Wish?

This was Tritons but I believe its small compared to the current places that are used for things like this (and usually full). I agree though there is little reason that Luna couldn't be used for dancing at night. I don't know what people think "dancing" means but I've never seen anything that would cause parents to be horrified on a Disney ship. Match Your Mate is about as adult as it gets and even that isn't to the point where a child randomly walking by would be traumatised or a parent horrified.
I was thinking about this, They can also use one of the movie theaters for match your mate. Might not be as comfy, but it would work. I guess we will have to wait and see what Tritons actually looks like. On the website, it looks slightly bigger then the pub that is across the hall from it.

One of the videos I've watched (honestly I've watched so many I'm not 100% sure which one) did show it briefly. It looked small but yeah you couldn't really see "how" small so will be good to see once it opens

Nah, they'll use Luna. There's no reason to use the movie theaters for anything other than movies (and I suppose character meets, if they're still doing that). Luna isn't really "open to the hallway" and if it's a problem, then Disney can add some doors. I think it's fine.

Not sure I agree with that. I've seen some pretty adult comedians that I was sometimes shocked I was on a Disney cruise. (I'm no prude either lol) And some of the answers people give during Match your Mate... I wouldn't want a small child hearing.

I haven't witnessed any dirty dancing or anything like that. We definitely like to dance though. Sadly the more I look into the Wish the more I dislike it. Not having all the bars & lounges together in like an adults district is frustrating. The venues being considerably smaller which could lead to even more lack of activities for adults in the evening. Quiet Cove looks great...but is it really stay there the entire cruise or the Spa? I like to relax but not the entire time. We don't cruise till Jan so I'm hoping for some adult cruisers to provide more info compared to other DCL ships.

And bingo. And as far as the open to the hallway. I am not sure if you have seen the upper balcony, the area is not a closed room and the sound can travel up to the deck above, which is right by the elevators. So they probably don't want to say anything that would be too "mature" in that area. The dancing is fine.

Agreed. I like when they are together and you can easily hop to see what looks interesting. It works really well. It also lets you feel like you have escaped the kid areas entirely. This is not an improvement for adults who enjoy some adult time in the evenings.

It doesn't look that way on the deck plan. The deck plan shows two entrances on each level, all of which could have doors as needed.

I haven't watched any videos from the Wish, though. Maybe the deck plan is misleading.

Watch a walk through video. I have seen several where people walk in that area. The balcony level of the the lounge has a half wall, You can't see down onto the stage from behind the wall, but you can hear things.

I was trying to avoid them. But, I did look at one just to see what you mean. I get it. I still think it's fixable if Disney really gets a lot of complaints, though. I'm sure that they left those holes in the wall to make the space seem more open, but they can be filled in.

I really doubt that Disney's going to get a bunch of complaints, though. There's nothing in that area for kids at night, so I'd imagine that most kids won't be over there.

Maybe not really little kids but the teens are EVERYWHERE! lol (Speaking as a mother of a teen....they hardly spent any time in Vibe)

Yeah, but does anyone really think that teens will be upset, surprised, or otherwise bothered by what they might overhear? I mean, they all have the Internet.

I guess parents might still be annoyed by it, though. Eh.

Yeah, I was never bothered by the "lack" of private adult space. Even with Match your Mate, it is not super crazy and let's be real here, little kids really don't understand what they hear half the time. I think that people forget what it is like to be a child. If they have no frame of reference for a word, and have never heard, it, they don't know what it means and it just goes in one ear and out the other. And older kids and teens have heard worse, I am sure. Sometimes if your kid hears something, you just have to laugh with them about it and not make a big deal out of it. This is life.

haha It's like re-watching Disney movies/cartoons from when we were kids and NOW understanding all the "adult" jokes they put in them.

Just curious if they still do the adult scavenger hunt…I remember doing Magic quest and wonder quest where women would be pulling off their bras to give to the men to wear and walk the cat walk …it seems that could be difficult to house if they still have that activity…

Here is a new video on YouTube that explains some of the more nightlife areas with some good videos and panning shots:
Start watching at 27:10

They explained that Luna would be used as nightclub dancing and other live entertainment. If you look at it, the tables near the stage can be moved for dancing.

Triton Lounge, while small, is also a private venue as well.

It seems like both of these venues could be used, later at night, for adults-only activities

I have never seen that on any of my cruises.

How unfortunate...I have a great video of my son in law during WonderQuest.. Male representatives of all the teams had to dance with bras on over their clothes. excellent blackmail for future use...ooo did I say that?

Checking in again to see if anyone has additional insight now that the ship has begun sailing. If anything I am more concerned! Reading the trip reports posted on another blog it looks like Luna is being used for shows only and I didn’t see any references to dancing for adults. The closest thing I have seen is the pirate deck party for all ages. Not feeling good about this……
