Actually, this is the first trip with her in 9 years and really since I was little....oh, and, she wasn't invited....she invited herself :headache: (toldya she was selfish) :sad2:

She invited herself? :headache: :headache: Is she going to be there the whole time or just the cruise?

I was glad to read that what the doctor gave him helped :hug: Can't be anything worse than having asthma and not being able to breathe :sad2:

Me too. I hate it that he has to deal with it. I just don't understand why he has to deal with so much. He also has a lot of problems with acid reflux. Poor kid.

I thought you might like that idea. :thumbsup2

I'm better, still tired, feel like someone beat me up! I gave the bronchitis to my wife (aren't I nice!) We're both on our 4th day of antibiotics and some prescription cough medicine. Definitely better than we were, but not 100% yet.

Hope you and the 2 guys in your house feel better soon!

Glad you're both feeling better. Hope you get it completely kicked soon. :wizard:

I will check that out.... and yep, first AND second day went well....didn't tan yet tho.... :rolleyes1

How much are you working at the new job?

get better...did brad's ankles swell when u where preggie? jk;) i've heard tell of guys that gain weight with the mrs & get symptoms...perhaps like those who after years together begin to look alike?:eek:

A guy I used to work with did that. He gained way more than his wife did though.

barb - i've finally learned to accept my mom, warts & all...wonder if my brood will feel the same:rolleyes1 . Yep, #1 & #2 have one of those names that ends in a vowel...related (distantly) to the actor with same surname (he was adopted though, i always took a perverse delight in pointing it interrupting the ex's brag about what good stock he came from...evil i am:rotfl: )

Well I haven't learned to accept mom. In fact most times would prefer not to see her. I do deal with her when I have to. I bet you enjoyed bringing that up with the ex while he was trying to brag.

Oh great! :rotfl: If I have to rely on Bubba for food, I'd be living on hotdogs! :eek: :rotfl2:

Yum. :headache:

i think on this thread, that is considered an 'oxymoron'?? :confused3

:rotfl2:

Hey we did keep it down for you. There really wasn't much posting that went on yesterday.

Wow, Brab, that's one heck of a lot of ketchupin'

Guess what? It's snowing again!!!! Apparently we've had more snow so far this winter than the past two winters combined. Lovely.

:headache: :hug:

thank you for the time extension....

I pick Kyle Busch

I warned you!

violent111.gif

nah! just kiddin'.... :lmao:

House of Bubba is going with Jimmy Johnson (has anyone else picked him?)

The House of Bubba picked good!

It started snowing this morning....really started sticking to the roads around noon (hence early dismissal). The Schuylkill that Mr.Bean drives, had a bad accident, as did the turnpike :sad2: I believe the Phila. area got the 'freezing rain' right at the height of rush hour :scared: Was still snow by me. The freezing stuff here is tonite and overnight...but, supposed to be raining in the morning :confused3

:eek: I could never do it.

:laughing: i agree...nobody I knew wanted to be a 'prep'....we were all 'motorheads' ;) I wish him luck finding 'his place' :hug: It's not an easy time of life :sad2:

What's a motorhead?:confused3

Well, THAT is just not a good start to the day, now is it? :scared: Ahhh...the memories you're making....... :rolleyes:

No it was not a good start to the day and it was way to early! :headache:
So I am making memories?:sad2:

See? Tricia was right...Ma is fine. At her age, I guess it's 'normal' to feel a little 'off' at times :confused3

Yep...DM gots the license for 'magic' fingers

Heck, I feel a little off at times myself.

Neither of us smoke, won't even allow it in the house, I have nothing against smokers, I grew up in a family of 5 who was the only non-smoker, just never got started :confused3 . But we're getting better, thanks for the thoughts!

Good for you! We don't smoke either. I never could stand the thought of having an ashtray in my mouth.

when you live in the midwest, you get snow and frigid temps.
i don't laugh at snow.
i hate that stuff.
i think people in florida should take a turn and have the snow for the next 3 years.

But what if the bad temps end up sticking around and are there when we want to visit.

i have met oprah and like her even less now.
i posted about my meeting with her sometime back on the cb.

i was out voted naturally

She seems to have gotten a little big for her britches. It is never good for a tv personality to have that much pull.

marcie, you should cough on the mean boss tomorrow and make him get sick.

since you are a sickie, might as well share it with people you don't like......:laughing:

:lmao: :thumbsup2

GET UP!Please

Morning Fletch. Congrats on the 25 lbs!!!!:yay:

GOOD MORNING !!

Gotta run LONG trip to work in front of me ... I am sure the kids are not gonna be happy either they were really looking for the snow to stick around a few days .

Hope to get on the computer tonight :surfweb: to stop in . BTW We ordered the rug and i am pretty sure we have our colors picked out now too. One more week and the room will be done !!

Morning Jennifer. Have a great day!

OKIE DOKIE

off to work

Artichokie!

ok, ok....I'm up already.
2 hour delay for school for the kids.
need caffeine, everyone have a safe trip to work and we will see you later, gaters :thumbsup2

Hi Tracie! Are the kiddos up yet? What did you think of my suggestion????

I'm up too :headache:

2 hour delay and husband home sick...again :( (he really HATES using sick days when he's sick :sad2: )

So, guess I'll go to work at the time I'm supposedta..... 8-4 today.... Gotta run to Walmart for meds for DH first tho.....

Cya's tonite :wave:

So what does he like to use his sick days for? My dh, being a government employee, has so much sick time & vacation time it is unbelievable. He carries over 6 weeks of vacation every year. So what is he going to do while we are on vacation this summer? He is taking just two weeks and is coming back well before the rest of us. Not that I mind but I know he will drive us nuts whining about us still being there.

Get better Bubba's Dad! :wizard:

YAY! Snow day for Sharon today.

This is the first time ever that the boss has called and told me to stay home. So why did I volunteer to go in later today if this mess changes over to rain? :confused3

Somebody smack me in the head.

Guess I'll be doing this today
103.gif

but I'd really rather be doing this!
150.gif

Well here you go:

violent111.gif

Did YOU have to shovel your way out of the driveway this morning? I didn't think so or you wouldn't ber YELLING at us!

Moning MF. Hope you are still warm down there. Just watch, it will snow when I come down next week. Get out your woolies, because we're going to bring it with us!

Get well soon, Bubba's dad and the rest of you sickies out there. The germs don't like the snow and cold up here. Thank goodness.

Well that would show him wouldn't it! You are going to bring back pics for us, aren't you?

mac - i agree the big O is turning into a kingmaker, way too much money & power in one vocal broad's hands imo...fans are almost cult-like in their devotion.:confused3

Yep she has to much influence.

It was in the chiropractic field, which I like more than the spa field. I'm sure that in the spas, a rough economy means less pampering for the middle class. The superrich can still get massages when they want.

Well then I want to be super rich!

Once again, I'll be digging in around here. It is crunch time. I only have today and tomorrow to get everything done.

I do have a head start on the food. Remember, I have to stock my kitchen with ready-to-eat and yet gluten-free meals. I baked a ham on Monday and made bean & ham soup from the leftovers yesterday. Today will be chicken & veggies in the crock pot. I'll leave them a roast in the crock pot Friday. I would think that 2 people should survive on ham, soup, chicken/veggies, and roast for the (almost) 4 days that they'll be here... right? Plus I've got eggs and bacon and hashbrowns for breakfast.

I won't be around much today. In fact, I am going to let Daniel watch some of his shows here on the computer so I won't be tempted to sit my butt down and do nothing. :rolleyes1

Oh boy it is almost time to leave!!!! You will be ready. How long does it take you to get there?

UPDATE.....UPDATE.....UPDATE

Boss just called - they are closing the office today because of the weather!!!!

Time to kick DS out of bed. Today is going to be "Pack the Legos up and put in the attic day". He is going to be so not happy with me! hehe

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

okay
here is the list

Yankee = Edwards
Bubba = Johnson
tlinus = Stewart
rvgal = Bowyer
keisha = Waltrip
wwessing = Dale. jr.
dm = kyle petty
loribell = J Gordon
Damo = Villeneuve
jaws = Biffle
Sharon = Harvick

9.gif

Now what are we doing with the list?

Hi Penny!

so you're leaving on Thursday?
ma & pa are doing the babysitting?
nice of u to leave provisions, on the rare ocassion somebody watched my youngins (other than their older siblings); they went to the sitters house - no food involved on my part;) .

We're leaving Friday morning, after I drop Joshua off at school. Brad's parents will be staying here with the boys. My mom will be taking Joshua to and from school. I'm sure the boys will spend some time over at Carol's house to give Duane & Liz (Brad's parents) a break.

It is much easier at this age, for the grandparents to come to them than for them to go to the grandparents. For starters, they've got the backup people next door. Then you've got to get Joshua to school (5 mins away) when Duane & Liz live 45 mins away. Then you've got all their stuff here (toys, video games, etc) and I don't have to worry about them breaking anything.

You know, maybe I should bequeath Mac my pick. Bowyer drives the Jack Daniels car. :scratchin

It's about an 8 hour drive... maybe a little less. We'll hit traffic when we get close to the hotel, so it's hard to say exactly.

I'm sitting here eating Nestle Toll House chocolate chips for lunch.

Not the cookies, mind you. I am dumping the chocolate chips straight from the bag and eating them.

Is that a bad thing? :confused3

when drivers are racing to earn the Sprint Cup (formerly Nextel Cup... formerly Winston Cup... Nascar does love to make money from sponsorship :rolleyes: ) it is a big deal too.

Has anyone heard Larry the Cable Guy's take on the CUP being sponsored by Kotex?:lmao: It is really funny.

:)

My hubby is also federal employee. He delights in telling me how much time he has. In fact, he is in the "use or lose" situation. The best one is Jr. gets a whole week off for Spring Break around Easter this year. I told DH how about taking off the week. (As it is during tax season, I will be working) I suggested he, Jr. and Gramps go to Florida (to vist his brother) for the week. His response - "what do I want to do that for?":confused3

Not where I'm sitting.:thumbsup2

My lunch: peanut butter & jelly sandwich, pretzels, chocolate chip cookies, water. And not even the good cookies. Hubby brought some offbrand and baked. But better than nothing.

Well for me it would be. They aren't sweet enough for me.

Has anyone heard Larry the Cable Guy's take on the CUP being sponsored by Kotex?:lmao: It is really funny.

:)

Nope.

UGH! MEN! DH had use or loose too. He took off the entire week of Thanksgiving & Christmas. Oh well, he will be the one missing out on our vacation. We will probably have a better time without him there anyway!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

By the way, YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE HERE! Get busy so you won't be stressed about going out of town. ;)

Yeah, yeah... I know.

I found the floor in Joshua's room. Hey, it has carpet! It was profitable. I earned 57 cents in loose change. How can he miss his piggy bank that often? There was also an assortment of crayons, bits of play-doh, and something that I think was a grape. At least, I hope it was a grape. :scared:

I had to walk away to maintain my sanity. Next up is Daniel's room. If you don't hear from me again, remember that I loved you all... :eek: :scared1: :lovestruc

Tricia I need to send Chris to you. Since he moved back in he has cleaned what was supposed to be my office that the family had trashed, Ally's play room & her bedroom!

For Janet:

bananadead3.gif

sado.gif

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

banana's foster:rotfl:

touche, flambe:banana:

i've never seen the one 1st one (told you the 'net was full of sick stuff:lmao: )...the 2nd is sorta S&M-ish not to be confused with M&M-ish

penny - luv the smilie:rotfl:

tricia's getting ready to start her engines....vrooom, vrooooooooom. Call me weird:3dglasses ; i neve liked anyone in my house when i was gone...nothing to hide...just a carryover from MIL #1 who'd give my house the white glove treatment & if it didn't meet her high standards; she'd clean & re-arrange the furniture (ps wait till kids get older, you'll be shocked @ what u find hidden in their rooms:rolleyes: )

lots of peeps working for uncle sam:thumbsup2 , how civil of you:lmao: ....very cool # of vacation days-whoopee! I used to do taxes for somebody who worked for a branch of the government. Odd thing, they didn't pay into Social Security; but the Railroad Retirement fund?:confused3 All i know is she was able to retire in 25 years with full benefits. Took a job working in private sector & will double dip on the retirements...lucky duck.

lori - only time i need to go thru the rehab is when things flare up badly, lifting heavy stuff, long rides in cars, vigorous amusement park rides:rolleyes1 ; postponing surgery as long as I can...has worked for many years thus far:wizard:

DH is working a double tonight, how romantic is that lol.

:laughing: sounds very familiar;)

But is he working a double tomorrow night? If so he is in big trouble!

I don't really want anyone staying in my house, but if they were and re-arranged things while I was gone it would be very ugly when I returned.

no double tomorrow, but i figure i'll see him long enough to feed him a t-bone & shove him back out the door for next shift;) ; maybe even a quick smootch if i'm lucky.

getting rid of ex-mil was one of the nice things about the divorce; odd thing is she apparently thinks i'm swell and speaks highly of me (probably because i was the best doormat she ever saw lol)...i tend to avoid her when i can @ any gatherings we're thrown together.:rolleyes:

anybody besides tricia have any big valentines day plans? we'll go out to eat on Saturday (by ourselves i hope, foisting fund-raising spaghetti dinner on ma - who is hale & hearty today:thumbsup2 - and DSs)...think i have a gift card or two somewhere:goodvibes believe a:yay: bottle of asti is still in the fridge too
