Haven't read anything to catch up and post reply to .... YET ... (so, no flamin'), but DH just let me know, he posted Ry's first goal of the season (it was the 2nd game [Sat.] and it was the teams 3rd goal in a 6-0 final (we won!) When the video starts, the ball will come out away from the goal and Ry will be running in from the right side of the screen and kick it in (he's #40 on the blue team).......(he flubbed it a bit, he said it went in off his lower shin.... :confused3 ....meh, goal is a goal! :thumbsup2 )

YAY BUBBA!!!!

a quick drive by so you know i'm still alive...:drive:

i;ll be back later to chat.

bubba, love the video. he is such a cutie

Umm, that was supposed to say Allison, not Tricia. Must have had Tricia on the brain with another one of her poop stories!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
We had a great time! Gotta love that DVC. I provided the rooms for the family. There were 24 of us all together and 5 generations.

Hey Lori! you have a GREAT looking family! Thanks for posting the pics! That must have been some trip with 24 people; it sure was nice of you to take care of the rooms for everyone!
No I didn't get the tickets and neither did my sister or my dad. We were all on on there at the moment that they went on sale. I tried for 4, then dropped down to 3 and then to 2, but they were sold out that quick! I couldn't believe it! I guess maybe they did sell them all during the pre-sale, but I thought they only had so many set aside for that. My sister is going to check eBay closer to time for the concert. We're hoping that they won't be so expensive then. Right now, you can buy them for around $140-$1,000 each :scared1: ! Miley is one money making little girl!
Hey Barb! I think that Rosemarie had a pretty good guess as to where you went...WWE or a strip joint sounds adult rated, potentially vulgar and offensive to some.
Katie, I loved the pictures you posted of the place you said was a prospect for your reception! Where were they taken?

So you guys like the place. Granted I haven't taken an "official" tour, but I really love this place, and its not that big so it won't look ridiculous for the amount of people we will be having.

Thanks for the kind words Lori, Barb, and Tricia!

Now you see the "fishy-ness" Mac! :fish:

Allison: The name of the place is called Ariel's

Well although Miley is making plenty of money, unfortunately a lot of the money being made off of these tickets is going to scalpers.

I started to buy tickets to the Little Rock show too to help pay for our tickets but I just couldn't see myself selling for more than I paid. Now I wish I had so I could let your sister have them.

Yeah, what I meant about Miley making all the money is that the tickets sold out so quickly! My sister tried to get Little Rock tickets during the pre-sale, but she wasn't quick enough on those either. She was kicking herself because she could have gotten Bossier City tickets on the morning of the pre-sale, but she had not talked with the moms of the rest of the girls (Bossier City concert is on a Thursday night and Little Rock on a Saturday), so she thought she'd wait to see what they said about their girls going on a school night and then....they were sold out! Oh well, my niece gets to do lots of fun stuff. I'm sure they'll come up with something else if she can't get the tickets later.

Okay, lemme see if I can "ketchup" (in macraven's words ;) )

Lori....WOW!!!! what a gathering!!! TOO many peeps for me.....our 16 was more than plenty this summer :sad2: Oh, and the soon to be ex-sil....just "looks" like a jerk...dunno why....but your daughter and granddaughter are beautiful ;)

Katie....looks like a wonderful place to have a wedding and party! :thumbsup2 I think you said you have other pix to post?? Let's compare!

Rose...sounds like you and your DH had a lovely weekend together....so much deserved "alone" time :rolleyes1 Nice to have those little get-a-ways once in awhile, eh? ;) Any pix of the happy couple?? (and yes, at shindigs like that, it's hard to please everyone w/ the music....usually the couple has music for them....it's their day, they are going to party way.....jeez...it's always all about them...

okay...gotta get busy with the big reveal about last night....jeez, hope you guys ain't disappointed... (it wasn't THAT great....)

[Hurry up Barb! I can't wait much longer for the reveal. It's bedtime for me... ;) /COLOR]

Thanks for the comments on the family everyone. I kinda like em!

Gotta get Ally in bed. Night everyone!

Okay...be FOREWARNED...this could be ugly. You could quite possibly be offended where I went because this type of humor isn't for everyone...you like it or you don't.....so, I don't want to hear about it...when you figure out what you don't like, stop reading..... I'm not forcing anyone to read on.....

For Father's Day, I bought DH tickets to a racey, adult comedy show at the Tweeter Center in New Jersey (yep, Camden Waterfront :scared: ) This is the humor my DH listens to on the radio and enjoys...this was a gift for him, and he chose ME to go with him :cool1: This is how my day went:

Went to work early for a client, who ended up over-sleeping! Now, normally I don't mind someone missing an appointment, but when I go IN EARLY especially FOR THEM, well, it kinda bugs ya So, squeeze person in later and leave work a bit later than anticipated. After work, I had to drive to the other side of town to cut my friends hair (said friend is in a wheelchair, and cannot get into salon due to steps...so, I go to his house ;) ) I finish up at his house and um, race, to the soccer field (home game..whew!). By the time I got to the field, I thought the game was over, but it was halftime Talked to DH (unfortunatley some bad 'family' news, which I won't go into now) and waited for the 2nd half to start. Finally, it did. The boys looked great....well, except for Robbie (the whiney kid who hates to run :rolleyes2 ) They ran, they passed, they took the ball and ran circles around the poor other team...winning 6-0. I'm sure you saw the link above for Ry's goal (& you can hear Robbie's family that was sitting next to us getting annoyed cuz he was too busy 'waving' to his family instead of playing).

Anyhow, after the game, we come home and all get showers. My very dear "adopted" grandmother, and twice weekly client, Pat, came to our house about 3:30 to stay with Bubba for the night. (I also won't go into why my Mother wasn't able to do it  ) DH and I gave her the info she needed about dinner, bedtime and how to work our remote for the tv and we were off at 4pm....after she was so kind to take our picture. (You may see a lot of yellow "WOW" stuff...will explain that later.)

First stop....Pat's Steaks on Passyunk Ave. for dinner  Here is DH ordering our dinner. This is how you order at Pat's....for those who have never been ("wit" means 'onions') It was delicious. Here's a pic of Geno's across the street....the competition...but, we like Pat's best :thumbsup2 (The only real difference is Pat's chops the meat up, and Geno's doesn't...keeps it more "whole"...like lunchmeat.)

After dinner, we hopped back in the car, and headed thru Philadelphia toward the Ben Franklin bridge. Over the bridge, make the first turn before the toll booth and viola..we're in Camden! (Not a very good part either )

About 5 minutes or so, we arrive...the Tweeter Center on the Camden Waterfront!

We are here to see the "Opie & Anthony Traveling Virus Tour" show (This is where you may not like where I was.... If you are not familiar, Opie and Anthony are shockjocks (Howard Stern competitor/enemy) that were on radio talkshow, then banned and signed deal with XM satellite radio...they are rude, like women to "flash 'em" and use foul language ...... a lot.)

We drive around a couple of minutes (amongst the "tailgaters") and find ourselves a good spot to remember. We walk a few rows over in the lot, and head for the entrance. A golf cart full of people drive by us. Before I could snap a pic, DH says, "That was Op" (Opie). Here comes another golf cart full of people, and DH says, "Hey Ant." (Anthony) ..with a "heya" in return. We watch as they drive down the parking lot (wondering where they were going) and realize they were stopping for photo ops :woohoo: So, we turned around and walked back and I got my pic w/ Opie and Rich Vos (a comedian in the show) and DH got his pic with Anthony. (The yellow WOW you see everywhere is their trademark bumpersticker: Whip 'em Out Wednesday which turned into Whip 'em Out Whenever. If a gal sees this bumpersticker, she is supposed to "flash" the driver.....)

We get into the center and after hitting the potty, we went to the 'circus' area. They had some games and entertainment there for everyone. A dunk tank with the clown insulting people who didn't/couldn't dunk him. Offered to "jump in" the water if a gal flashed him. She wouldn't, so he didn't. He even told one guy, "Go home and say hello to your wife and MY kids" They had an Andrea Yates game, where they have 5 balls floating in a tub of water and you have to get all the balls down under the water at the same time for 10 seconds (accomplished by leaning on them all and soaking the front of yourself). Jimmy Norton was selling/signing his "Happy Endings"book...and we even chatted with the chick on the cover of the book. There was a live band...things of that sort ....and lots of stands selling beer and pretzels and such....a LOT of beer goin' around.... We walked around and enjoyed the entertainment for about 45 minutes and then went to our seats....which, were pretty good. (And, if you are not familiar with the set up at the Tweeter, there is an inside 'covered' area (where we were) and then the other side of the walkway, there is the 'lawn' area .....(a/k/a "cheap seats"). We took that pic at the beginning of the show, so it still looks empty. By the time intermission rolled around, it was packed!

They opened with a local dude who won a contest to appear that night and man was he 'boo-ed'....almost felt sorry for the kid...then again, Philly is a tough crowd.

Had about hour and half of show, then intermission where a friend of DH's found us. We went outside the area (to the 'circus' area) to talk (quieter) until intermission was over...then, back to the show.

Opie & Anthony emceed the 2nd half of the show.... Some stupid dude rushed the stage, and was promptly escorted, er rather, carried out, by security. (Not too long afterwards, we saw police there, so I'm guessing he got free room and board for the night :lmao: )

It was a very funny show and we had a great time laughing at the comedians and the crude jokes and video clips they brought. (To give you an idea of the 'crude', one videoclip was of a dude brushing his teeth with dogcrap....I kid you not....that is just the humor these guys are about.)

After the show, we stopped for the bathroom....the ONLY time the ladies line was shorter than the guys. The ladies line didn't even make it out of the bathroom, while the guys line was down along the wall :lmao: (loved it!) Once inside the ladies room, I saw the poor gal passed out in there. It would seem she had been sitting on the pot (pants were down around her knees) and fell forward. She was sticking out from under the stall door (on her stomach) with her cheek on her folded hands...totally passed out. The EMS came in and stood on the toliet in the next stall, and he jumped up and leaned over the divider and unlocked the door. I was about finished and washing my hands at this time, and I heard the EMS guy say "Yep, get the bed, she's out cold". Now, I didn't see anyone 'with' her or anyone waiting for her outside, but every guy waiting for his gal outside the bathroom was curious as to what was goin' on. I hope that girl is okay....hopefully just too much booze. We paused to take a pic of the Phila. skyline (& share a kiss) before heading home....

So, that about wraps up my evening. We had a great time together that night and we got home about 12:30AM and we wuz tired! Hit the hay and had a good rest..... Sorry if what I did was a disappointment, but y'all wanted to know....curiousity 'peaked' ya's said.....

Hope you enjoyed the mini trippie.......

Hey Barb! My DH says where can he get one of those shirts and he wants to know if they work? :rotfl2: :confused3
Sounds like y'all had fun! I should have guessed a comedy show...

And I said that before you put the picture of Bubba and Bubba's dad on there!

:rotfl: , yes, we know you did! DH was adding that pic to his sig while you were replying. Actually, the bumperstickers DO work...especially for truckdrivers ;) Tell your DH he can get one of his own online...and a bumpersticker too ;)

.......and no, I didn't flash...I only flash for one dude.....( & I have seen the bumperstickers, but hard to flash someone while you're driving.....again-not that I would anyway......)

barb - bend it like beckham bubba!:cheer2:

sounds like a most enchanted evening :rolleyes1 , long as your DH enjoyed it is all that counts (make the gift fit the recipient)!

fyi, DH is a steelworker Go Steelers! who bid into his company's truck dept years ago to make the $$. He drives the big rigs back & forth between local plants (and to think he went to college for this lol). Has oft said most of the chicks (and guys:scared: ) who do flash are the one's you wouldn't want to peek at in the 1st place. Trust me, from my years of bartending, everyone thinks they're hot when they're drunk.:lmao:

lori - that's a big group, did you book GV? hope you didn't get stuck "comp'ing" them all; makes me queasy thinking of the points.;)

KFed - Ariel's? cannot place it; thinking YC/BC or BW. There's a room above the BW area overlooking it that used to be for guests, now used for functions.

macraven[/u];20845660]who is up for the card game now that i am back?

i'm always ready for a rousing game of 500:thumbsup2

not much for poker; usually had a house party on New Year's eve when kids were little. Tons of fun, usually segued into a spirited poker game. One year the last hand I had was 2 pair -

2 pair of Ace's separated by a Queen:rolleyes1 ; can still hear them yelling

if you can't call them, you don't own them:laughing: my table, the house quickly scooped up took the pot and gave them a glass of champagne.
