We went to the world 4/26-4/29 for a quick trip! We have gone for free dining the past two years and enjoyed lots of different TS restuarants. This time we just booked one and decided to try Cape May now that they added crab legs. Here's a quick intro we are 29 years old and and love going to Disney, got spoiled by free dining (man it's hard to pay 3.29 for a cookie!) and hubby loves crab legs! We brought cinamon rolls in our suitcase, so we never ate breakfast during this trip.

Here's where we ate
POP! food court: post 2
Cape May dinner: post 3
Goofy's treats: post 4
Earl of Sandwich: post 4
Starring Rolls: post 5
Captain Cooks: post 6
Poly bar: post 6

We stayed at POP so we tried a few things.

First day we split chicken strips/fries meal and a soda. Loved the fries here, chicken strips were a bit on the cold side but good quality like Mcdonalds select strips but smaller in size. 7/10

Second day we split some nachos w/ no tomatoes. These were pretty good and enougth to share. 8/10

We also bought a side of fries on night, these fries are great. They also sell cheese fries and chilli cheese fries. 10/10.

Bought a peanut butter chocolate chip minnies back shop cookie, just ate it.....10/10 these cookies are so good.

Overall the food court was well organized and had plenty of seating always seemed pretty busy. The only thing that could have been better was one night I was looking at the bag's of chips and they had a dining credit sign next to them, but no price tags anywhere. Saw lots of people w/ refillable mugs, we just picked up a 12 pack of Diet Coke from the Hess station and were set for the 4 days.

We made an ADR for 7:20. We took the bus from pop to DHS and then the boat to Beach Club, this only took 25 minutes we arrived at 6:30 and checked in, 5 minutes later we were seated! We were seated in the side room by the desserts so it was pretty quiet. Ordered diet cokes and went for the first round. I tried the following: oh and I don't like seafood at all: caesar salad (ok) and a roll (so good and soft) mashed potatoes (way to much basil for my taste) corn bread (great) signature salad w/ citrus vinagarette (didn't like at all) mac and cheese (this was my favorite so good) lobster tortallini (great) chicken (great flavor). OVerall even though I don't eat seafood I found lots of great food and still felt like I got my moneys worth!

DH loves seafood and tried: clams (not his favorite, but said they were good) dinner rolls (great!) clam chowder (said it was very good) ribs (loved these thought they were great would have eaten more it there was room) lobster tortallini (thought was great) and here's the kicker he ate 13 bundles of crab legs we figured that was about 60 legs!! We had read lots of reviews before we left about the crab not being great but he loved it. The shells were not soggy and the crab came out in large pieces dh said quality was great, some bundles were better than others.

Now on to dessert. I thought the Orea bon bon was ok, different than what I thought it would taste like. The cheesecake was so great! Thick and creamy and a light berry taste. We also tried the lava cake now this was awesome! Molten center was thick and a dark chocolate..mmm Those were the only ones we tried but we polished off three of the lava cakes together!

We spent 2 hours at dinner! Price per adult before tax was 28.99. We loved it! The waitress was a little slow on taking our plates and on refilling our drinks but we weren't in a hurry. We have will be returning in December.

WE love these cookies and I love that the inside of this place always smells like the inside of a halloween pumpkin after trick or treating!...we bought two m&m ones but here are some extra pictures of the goods on display as well

EArl of Sandwich. I got the all american w/ turkey, cheese, tomato, cranberrys adn ranch dressing. The bread was great, the turkey was very salty. A little off putting. DH got the classic w/ roast beef, cheese, and horseradish sauce. He loved it and got another to go to eat in hotel later that night. This place gets busy but there is more seating outdoors is you look. 8/10

We were headed to the Beauty and Beast show and decided to pick up a sandwich to bring in. Took some extra pictures of the windows as there weren't anybody in there right then...DH got the ham sandwich with a bag of chips it ame to $9. and change. I took one bite and hated the mustard that was on it, so I will go with his opinion he loved the sandwich just thougth it was a bit pricey. This is a great option though for a lunch to bring into the show. Would have tried a cupcake but they were soooo big and DH doesn't like cupcakes. Maybe next time. DH rating 8/10

We left DHS around 6:30 and took the bus over to the Poly to watch Wishes at 9 pm, which worked out perfectly. We were going to order from the Sushi bar but DH figured he would have to spend a lot of money to get full from sushi and I don't eat it. So we went to Captain Cooks. We decided to split the pork sandwich and then have another snack later on. The ordering process seemed counter productive you put in order on screen adn then waited in another line to get buzzer and pay the ticket...hmm didn't like that. The menu was so much smaller than pop food court thats for sure. Anyways the sandwich had pulled pork, coleslaw, pinneapple chunks, tomatoes, and cucumbers on it. It was really good, and the bun was soft. Half was enough as the bbq sauce was on the sweet side. I like the poly chips as well, again half was more than enough. We give it an 8.5/10.

We then headed upstairs to the lounge and sat down to order a drink. DH got a beer called fire rock and he loved it, it was a semi sweet ale! I got the berry margarita so good. We also decided to get the kona wings as we have always wanted to try them. Now these were very good. The sticky sauce was cooked in and the spicy mustard drizzle was awesome. We will definately be back to order some in the future! We also asked our great server (best of the trip in any customer service!) if DH could order a beer to bring to the beach, he brought one out in a plastic cup. Total for 3 drinks and wings was 30.00.

This was also the first time we watched wishes from beach and it was awesome! We were able to snag a hammock about 30 minutes before the fireworks and the speakers were right behind us. Will definately be back for this! Hope you enjoyed my reviews here is a bonus sunset pic. We will be adding Cape May to our December ADR list as well as Boma breakfast which is my favorite and we will be staying at AKL!

Love the reviews so far!

OMG at the $30.00 for a chocolate bar though. While I'm sure that is good - I wouldn't pay that much for chocolate.

Great reviews! I never realized that Cape May had lobster ravioli. We're eating there for the first time in a few weeks & that really peaks my interest!

We love the nachos from POP!

Great reviews, thanks for sharing!

Those wings look AMAZING!! And I can't believe your hubby ate all of those crab legs! I hardly had the patience for one batch

Thanks for your review. My girls would sure get their moneys worth with the crab legs.

Great reviews and pics. We love watching the fireworks from poly beach!

fyi - you can order the Minnie's Bake Shop cookies on line (and brownies and rice krispie treats) . go to selmas.com. We have ordered them for ourselves and my husbands clients. Yum!!

I want you to know you've managed to transform a portion of my trip!! Your reviews were excellent ... my son Ethan is an absolute seafood monger. He is soooooo looking forward to revisiting the clams/mussels at Cape May ... but ... last time we were there they had pulled the crab legs from the menus. YOU are the first one to review the crab leg bundles for me ... and trust me when I tell you that this kid (at age 8) can eat enough crab legs to embarrass most adults. When he discovers they are on the buffet he may very well cry!

Thank You

Thanks! They were really good, enjoy! But, all the other food was really good to. I know my DH loves crab legs and we eat them every Christmas Eve at home, but that's it, so it was a special treat. We are also going again in December let me know if you like it!
