So You Think You Can Dance starts tonight!! Who's with me?

I thought Max and Kayla did a great job last night. One of my faves.

I like Melissa, but yet she bugs me. She is taking the whole "naughty ballerina" thing too far. Every time she gets the camera on her, she bites her finger and has this weird look to her face.

ME TOO! She is driving me crazy with the finger in the mouth. Yeah, we get it, you're the naughty ballerina, but ENOUGH! I was so hoping she would be in the bottom.

People really liked the final number by Max and Kayla? Really? All I kept thinking was how does it look like she is flat footed whilst wearing heels. Her feet seemed so awkward during most of the number. I was not impressed at all and was shocked that the judges loved them so much.

I agree with the poster who said that Caitlin didn't seem as sharp with her footwork as she could have been during the Bollywood number. Maybe it was because Jason was hitting his footwork so strongly but at times her feet seemed almost gummy if that makes sense. Mainly during those really fast bits of the number where the movement of the foot wasn't large but still needed to be powerful.

Anyway...felt that the right dancers went home tonight but find it very annoying that they ALWAYS send home a "couple" during the first 2-3 weeks of the season.

My husband and I love this show. We started watching Season 2 together when we first started dating. We've taken several dancing classes together as a result. (lots of ballroom and latin, even a hip hop class) I have to say that I agree with the judges decision tonight. I am so excited for this season!!! The dancers all seem very good. I was surprised by the low number of hip hop/b boys/etc this season compared to others.

While I'm (almost) always sad when people have to go home, I'm okay w/ the judges decision tonight. Nigel was right when stating that the boy's solos weren't strong enough tonight, so it'll be interesting to hopefully see stepped up versions next week.

I also have to add, I really liked the group dance tonight!! And I'm so happy they'll be featuring a different famous dancer/s each week.

I loved that tango number that was done tonight.
I sit mesmerized by dance and I am not a dancer. I do appreciate what they do and their talent. I may not know much about it but I know what I like and enjoy!

I was happy with the judges decision tonight. While they were all good dancers (and many great!!), someone has to go I each category and I thought the right two went home.

I am happy to see so many people lovin' Evan. I feel for him last season also and enjoyed his preformance this week. I love what his specialty is the most but it is fun to watch all the different genres (is that the right word? lol)

and we love it more because of her screamingl...we think we have her screams figured out and it makes us giggle. I would rather her happy screams than the degrading attitude of a few of the other guest judges.

So do we! DD tolerates it less than we do but I adore her. I think Mary adds so much to the judging. She's funny, crazy, a good judge who says constructive comments and seems like a fun person. I like that about her. I enjoy Adam as a judge also. He is one of my favorites. He has so much personality! And Nigel just cracks me up but I think he is 99.9% spot on with his comments. I like to hear what he has to say to them.

I am excited for this season to be taking off. I really enjoy this show. It is so entertaining!!

I am sorry, but it is now the AM after the show, so I think we can talk about who went home now.....

I definitely think Tony was the right choice to go home. I can't believe he even made it to the Top 20 and his solo was terrible! He was skating on very thin ice because of his looks/personality!

I just don't like Asuka. I think she should have gone home. Paris seemed to have a lot of potential to grow and I think she outshone Tony on the Hip Hop number even though it wasn't her genre. I am not surprised she went home though.....

Were the Tango couple from that World of Dance show (can't believe I am admitting to watching that show, it was terrible )? They looked familiar to me.

I think the judges made the right decisions. While they are both good dancers, I don't believe either of them had the ability/talent to win.

I'm with you Puffkin, I don't like Asuka either. Not sure what it is, but something about her just gets under my skin.

Wasn't thrilled with Wades routine. I know so many people are raving about it, but I just didn't see it as that great. I love him as a choreographer, but this was just not one of those times.

Finally got to see the final 4 performances from Wednesday night. I thought Ade and Melissa did such a beautiful dance. I loved it. I wasn't quite moved to tears like Adam, but I still really liked it.

Thought that Brandon and Jeanette did a beautiful job with the foxtrot and that Kayla and Max also did an amazing job with the samba.


Wow, alot of amazing dancing and routines on Wednesday. They are really a great top 20. They keep this up every week it's going to get harder and harder to pick who goes home.

I completely agree on both accounts. Tony was a nice kid but his solo was horrible. I kept joking that that's how my uncle dances at family parties, just running around and thinking he can dance

I liked Asuka in the beginning but she rubbed me the wrong way last night. After the other girls danced they hugged Cat and thanked her. They seemed sweet and thankful for being there. Asuka just gave the camera "come hither" looks and kept shaking her hips as she stood with Cat. The girl needs to be knocked down a few pegs, especially considering she was in the bottom 3. Don't like her. Aside from her though, I love everyone else! Literally everyone. I have some favorites over others but they're all awesome and seem like nice people. This is a great season!

I was a little shocked with the Ascur (oscar) (sp?) in the bottom 3, I just think she was dealt a bad hand with the Broadway routine. But I am glad she is safe And same with Jonathan.

I totally agree about the girls and 2 out of the 3 boys....the 2 who they "chose" from. Does anybody else think they (the judges) know who they are going to let go before the show?? Espescially this early in the show.

I would guess probably...I doubt the solos really mean all that much this early, but I do remember them telling people that their solo saved them, so I would think that meant they were probably on the chopping block before the results are revealed.
