As I tell my Ds, they are casting a TV show. If the 10 best women were all slender African American contemporary dancers, they would NOT all be in the top 10...gotta have some blondes, some hispanics, great if you can snag a married couple or someone with an inspiring back story. I'm not saying the top 20 are bad at all...they may just not be the absolute best 20 because they need a diverse, exciting cast.

I haven't watched today's "Meet the Top 20 show" yet but just saw this announcement.

I'm going to white it out because I don't want people getting upset incase it is considered a spoiler. Fox announced it though. I'm totally erring on the side of caution here.

Billy Bell has dropped out of the Top 20, due to illness.

I am SO upset by this. He was one of my favorites already. I was really looking forward to seeing him compete. I'm also hoping that he's ok and it is nothing too terribly serious. It sounds bad, if he has to quite competing all together but maybe it isn't.

I'm really angry about something else. Even though I have shows I watch regularly set up to record the season on DVR, I still check a week in advance to make sure they are set up to record. Last week, I saw SYTYCD on Monday and Tuesday. Last night, I was watching something else, since I had to wait to watch SYTYCD with my daughter, and noticed that the record light wasn't on. I quickly checked and much to my dismay, found out that the cable guide was now showing MLB baseball from 7:30 to 11:00. Had the Yankees not finished off the Angels Sunday night, the game would ave been in that slot, but it wasn't necessary, so why change the schedule? And I don't think you can find SYTYCD on Hula or anywhere on the web.

I'm bummed about the spoiler too. It is publicly announced by Fox so I'm not sure it is a spoiler but some people may not want to know.

I just watched last nights show and no one has grabbed me yet.

I think Jakob stood out to me most. I'm looking at the photos on Fox and I think he's the one that grabbed my attention in the group number.

I really thought Russell did well in the hip hop and Legacy did ok. Kevin seems to be the weak link there.

I didn't notice too many of the girls. Kathryn maybe? It was either her or Noelle that stood out to me but I can't tell them apart yet.

Back to the spoiler. I'm really bummed. I think he was set to be a front runner. I'm also not happy with the replacement. I already think we have too many dancers in his style.

i also hate the new stage. the old stage had some sort of charm...it was architecturally interesting as well, which a lot of choreographers incorporated really well.
