So sorry, but boo, hiss...we're older than many of you are and love the resorts, love DVC (even with its "warts"). We pay cash and would be going on vacation there anyway. We watch the market and buy and sell as we desire. Our son (30) and wife of one year also love DVC and Disney. Our son has been doing this at OKW since 1996. I can't imagine not being part of DVC and we are waiting...for grandkids! We're all going to be there for Halloween this year! Goodness, you can't take it with you!
What does this have to do with anything I said? Nobody is suggesting you can't go to Disney because you are old. There are other ways to stay in the same hotel rooms without purchasing DVC. In fact, if you run the numbers, maybe the better bet would be to take the money you would have spent on DVC, and go on 10 much larger and extravagant trips. As you said, you can't take it with you. So why spend your money on 20 years of DVC that you likely will never use.
