Shawna, did you get all the ADR's you wanted yesterday? :yay:

I did get it all except Le Cellier. Something was wrong with the online system...some times it would come up with a whole error page and i had to keep going back, and then sometimes when I would be on the restaurant page, it would say that Le C. was not available for booking at that time, then it would come on anyway:confused3 Weird. I am gonna keep trying...I will try to post my trip plans this week and we can talk about them... I know you have got to be getting soooo ready!!! We told our younger two, but not the oldest...he loooooves not knowing! anyway, he knows it is around Christmas, just not exactly when. Hopefully our last school day will be the Tues before T-day and he said i could tell him then. Ha!!

Kim...glad you had a good trip and thought up another family trip to take! Sounds like it was a blast!

Snkymom~ I have a weird thing like that with tags and stuff....or elastic sometimes.. I will break out or get almost like a hive/rash...just sensitive I guess. I haven't had anything about sun or light though. I need to go over and read that info. Hopefully your new stuff will work for you!!! Be safe and have fun and enjoy that girl of yours!!!!

My babies were off to school this morning.

I'm going out to lunch with my sister later. I just can't stay home by myself on the 1st day of school. The past 2 years, my DH has been able to get the day off, but he couldn't this year. I can't believe she's in 2nd grade!

I'm having a slow morning today and loving it! I only have my two today which is a nice change of pace. Two of my day care kiddos are out of town and the other two have the cooties like my kids.

Thanks for all the well wishes for my sick kiddos. Em is feeling much better and has slept the past 2 nights without waking up coughing. Andrew finally had a day without a fever yesterday. He's still very croupy and lounging around so he's home from school again today. No reason to share more germs with his class plus he's not 100% yet.

I spent a full day cleaning my house top to bottom and clearing out some of these germs.

DH had a productive weekend...he took out one of these

and made it into this :cheer2:
DSCN1943.jpg

He had a little help from my brother in law who just happens to be a contractor :woohoo:
I'm so excited!!!! This is step one of finishing half of our garage. It will give me a separate entrance and kitchenette for day care. Our house is a split level and going up and down steps a hundred times a day with 6 kids is tiring- especially with infants. It will be so nice to have everything for day care on one floor for me. And our upstairs will be strictly our personal space again too! :dance3:

My babies were off to school this morning.

What a sweet picture! :goodvibes Are you missing them today or enjoying the quiet? :rotfl:
Happy "less than 2 months" til Disney!!!
2 Months from today and I'll be at Disney!! :woohoo::cool1:

2 DAYS from today and I'll be at Disney!!
:dance3::woohoo::cool1::banana:
I'm soooo excited for you...and just a wee bit jealous :rolleyes1

Kim Wookie- sounds like you had a great little weekend getaway! There's so much of this country I'd love to see. DH and I talk all the time about retiring in an RV and seeing the US.

Shawna- I hope you keep trying for Le Cellier and get it.:yay:

Awww Meghan, I'm glad you have your sister to keep your mind off things today. Madison looks so sweet in that dress! Not that I want him to be sick or anything but I'm not minding Andrew being home from school these past few days one bit. :rolleyes1

Shelly~ they look excited!!! Is that the front of your house? I love it!!!!! I know you are missing them! I have not called yet to try and get L.C.--maybe tomorrow...I need to go over these plans one more time and make sure I like them!! Ha!!

Kim~ Your house looks great! I know you are so glad to get that big project finished!! They did a wonderful job!

We are trying to get our school work back on schedule...yesterday threw me!
But, we are all having a bit of the sinus flare up! YUCK!! Makes you sooo tired!! I foresee some lazy afternoons!!! Glad we are doing a short week!

Hey everyone! I've been such a lurker for the past few weeks. I've barely even posted on my PTR. This new house stuff is sucking the life out of me. School started nearly a month ago in my neck of the woods, but I am loving all of the pictures of your kids. Belle promoted into a Pre K-2 type program and is potty training. That's the good part. The bad part is that she's picked up on lots of fun phrases like "Leave me alone!" "Go away!" and my favorite- "That's stupid!" It's been a rough few weeks.

I think I'm somewhere in the 3 month mark. We are staying at POFQ the first night and then moving to WL. If the code isn't fabulous then we will just stay at POFQ the whole time.

I miss you, my Snowbird friends! I'll try to be around more often.

They were pretty excited! DS10 was up half the night - excited and a bit nervous I think!

Yep, that's our new house. It's cream with green shutters. We are currently trying to decide if we want to keep the green or change the shutters to a chocolate brown. :confused3 Not sure what would go best with the brick.

Hi Soleil! House building is a long slow process. We have done it twice! But it's all worth it in the end.

Good Afternoon Snowbirds!!

:hug: Hugs to all the moms that sent their kiddos to school today!!!!:hug:

Meg...that dress on your daughter is gorgeous...she looks so happy!!!!

Shelly...love the picture of the boys and the new house!!! :thumbsup2

Soliel...I hope the next few weeks slow down a bit, I'm sure the house building is both daunting and exciting at the same time!! YAY for potty training!!!!!

We are in our third week of school here and I love shorter weeks...always go by so much faster when you don't have a Monday to worry about LOL!

Of course, December is still tentative, but do you think the fates are trying to tell me something?? :wizard:

I wish the fates would tell me something, because I think DH is very leery about booking the trip so I can make ADRs. I could just book the AP rate (then we'd only have to pay about a $60 deposit), but if we end up adding the Dining Plan we'll have to deal with switching our Hoopdeedoo from paid in full to pay with Dining Plan. I know it's probably not that big of a deal, but I'd rather not have to deal with it. If I go ahead and book the package, then the deposit is $200, which really isn't that big of a deal, but I don't think he likes the idea.
I have been checking Hoopdeedoo ADRs for the 9:30 showing, and have noticed that they don't book up that far in advance, so I could just worry about getting the non-pay in advance ADRS, especially Le Cellier.

Anyways, Logan and I had a pretty full weekend much to Logan's dismay. He wanted a relaxing weekend, but it didn't work out like that. On Friday night he worked on his co-worker's yard, then had to go back again on Saturday to finish up. On Saturday night, I decided to bring a book and "go fishing" with him.
Right before we left Saturday I got a message from my Mom that said she was planning on coming out for Labor Day, and wondered when we would be back from the family reunion thing with Logan's family.
I asked Logan what he wanted me to say, because I always feel like we end up spending more time with my family, and I didn't want to cut into the time with his. Well, he told me we would be back that night, so my Mom decided that they would drive out Sunday night, instead of doing the whole round-trip on Monday, since half could stay with us, and they other half could stay with my brother.
Logan wasn't too happy with this, because he really wanted to relax for Labor Day, and he knew he wouldn't get to do that with my family there.

We spent Saturday with his family. It was really fun, especially for Logan, because they brought the guns out for skeet shooting. (he was disappointed that he didn't bring his) He had never done it before, which really surprised me, because I have. I mostly sat and talked with the ladies. I did try shooting, but I missed both shots like usual. I also got a sunburn from standing out there.

We did get about 2 hours of a break after we drove back home before my family arrived.
Yesterday, we went out to the lake and cooked out. I decided this would be a decent compromise, since Logan had planned on fishing on his day off anyways. Also, our apartment is dinky and not at all suitable for entertaining 6 extra people, especially whilst eating. Both of my brothers came out, which was nice, because even though my oldest (but still younger than me) brother moved out here last month, I've only seen him once. He and I don't get along the best, mostly because we're closest in age of all my siblings at only 15 months apart, and I don't necessarily agree with a lot of his life choices.
They all left around 5, so we got a bit more time alone, but Logan didn't get the relaxing weekend that he wanted. Hopefully next weekend will be better.

Shelly~ I love Green! It's my favorite!!!

Soleil~ Sorry that little missy has picked up those wonderful phrases!!!! We have missed you too!! I hope the house stuff isn't too bad for you!

Hey Friends! :goodvibes

Well, my crew and I are off again! To our country's Capital city this time for a family wedding! I may be checking in periodically so I can keep up with all y'alls schemes!

Hope those of you who are heading to the world in the next bit have a great time and don't suffocate with the heat! Have lots of fun and if you see my main mouse, be sure to give him a squeeze for me! ;)

Catch ya later my snowbird peeps! :goodvibes

Madison had a great first day of school today and I had a great lunch with my sister. Plus, we bought Madison Mario Kart for our brand new Wii that we got on Saturday!!! Maddie and I had some pretty intense races this afternoon! :rotfl:

Okay! I am gonna post my plans so far! If you see anything that is a major glitch or something you've done that doesnt work for you let me know! I usually don't have so many nighttime activities to plan around...but, I am planning on MVMCP, Osborne Lights, and Spectro. We were interested in the CP, but the only person in our time frame we really want to see/hear is Steven Curtis Chapman and his last night is the one we are coming in on....that's just tooooo long of a day. Also, there is always a chance of flight delays ....and I don't want to spend 2 TS credits for it.

Sat Dec 5-Arrive via Mag. Exp.---head to Cont. for check-in and let them know we can accept luggage....probably head to DTD and eat. Then back to the room...if we are in later than usual from the flight...we'll eat at the resort.Bed will be welcomed tonight(I can NEVER sleep the night before Disney!!!)...plus we have to get up really early!!!

Sun Dec 6-MK at Rope drop...park opens at 9. Hit Dumbo, Pooh, and P.Pan...head to ToonTown by 9:45 for RD and go to Pixie Hollow.
Dinner at Castle at 5:50...go to hotel.

Mon Dec 7:DHS at RD... 50s Prime Time at 12:15....Osborne Lights and back to room.

Tues Dec 8--MK morning (don't have to be here for RD unless we want to)
dinner at Nine Dragons....hang around Epcot for a while.

didn't mean to do that!!

Wd. Dec 9-Epcot...get FP for Soarin' if it's already long..not sure if we are gonna be here for opening time--tour WS til 12:15 and eat at Rose & Crown.
Head to MK tonight in time to get a seat for Spectro/Wishes!

Th Dec 10---slow day. Kids can go to pool if the weather is good...gotta do laundry!!!! Wanted to eat an early dinner, but we wanted Tonys and could only get 5:45...may change this...not sure. MVMCP :santa:

Fri Dec 11--MK again? Start shopping around for souvies maybe....dinner at Garden Grill at 5.

Sat Dec 12--Breakfast at Chef Mickeys--shop, maybe do DTD again. Do more laundry and pack. Might have Mike take the boys to the Arcade or see if a really good movie is on the t.v.!! gotta get that packing done!!!

Sun Dec 13--make sure all our snack credits are used...do MK for one last round!! I will be sad/depressed/crying/bad mood at this point. Darn, I am sad even writing about going home!! ha! Fly home.

Okay...so far that's the plan...nothing is set in stone tho'......debated a lot between the Sun (6th) and Th (10th) Christmas Party....really liked the Sunday idea, but read it's the night for AP/DVC members discount and it's usually a crowded sell-out night. Also, we wanted to do DHS kinda early so I could get FPs for TSMM....what do ya'll think about that?Give me some input! Also, Spectro is Wed/Sat night... I picked Wed just because I am assuming it won't be AS busy as Sat night due to locals coming in on the weekend.

DS left for his first day of school... can't believe he is a Junior in high school already.... while I am excited for him he does have a tough year... AP American History, college physics, Honors English, college Spanish and Pre-Calc.... the good news is he is a great student ( he is ahead a year or two in some subjects)... the bad news is he hates to study.... guess he will have to learn this year with that schedule.....

My sister and I are busy planning our trip to WDW in October. We are staying at OKW this time (they are DVC owners). Today I am going to research the boards a little to see if there is a better location to request than others.... she has made ADRs... they are staying for 11 days but I am only staying Sunday thru Friday...

We arrive Sunday Oct 11th... our plan is to go to DTD for lunch at Wolfgang Puck Express... as I have been there before and love it!!! then we are going to hang out at DTD for a while go back to the room then to Epcot for food and wine festival... possibly going over to MK after because they are open until 2 am.... depends on how tired we are as we need to be at the airport by 6 am

Monday we plan on going to the Magic Kingdom.... they are only open to 7 that day but thats fine as we are going to O'Hanas for dinner....

Tuesday we are going to AK... then possibly to DTD or to Food and wine festival again for a little sampling of the yummy food

Wed.... we are going to HS and then to Yatchsman for dinner

Thursday to Epcot and to Teppan Edo for dinner... which I am sooooo excited to try...

then I fly home on Friday....

also trying to plan our February trip..... those plans are not coming along well yet....

Wendy~Your son sounds like he is very smart, so he will do fine!! My oldest is in 8th grade this year...makes me sad because I know HS years go by so fast!!! I know it must be hard to do any plans for Jan/Feb since they aren't releasing codes yet, or letting you make ADRs. But, as soon as you get back from your Oct trip, you should be able to get with it!!! I was hoping they would release any codes pretty soon. ..I have to make our final payment Oct 21 and if the jan deals are tooooo good to pass up, I was going to switch!!!!!YIKES!!! That is cutting it close!!! Take some pictures for us to help tide us over!

Shelly~ I love Green! It's my favorite!!!

Soleil~ Sorry that little missy has picked up those wonderful phrases!!!! We have missed you too!! I hope the house stuff isn't too bad for you!

The house stuff is just going very slow. We've been working on things since July and haven't even started moving dirt. We have the lot, the plans and are waiting on our final bid.

I picked out all of our bedding last week. I LOVE IT!!!! Maybe I'll post it a little later.

I'm glad she had a good first day. She looked adroable.

Shawna- Plans sound great. I like that you have 'unplanned' time in there. We are doing the same this time because we aren't sure how Belle will react to it all.

Wendy- YUM! That's all I have to say to you.:thumbsup2
