Of course, December is still tentative, but do you think the fates are trying to tell me something??
I wish the fates would tell me something, because I think DH is very leery about booking the trip so I can make ADRs. I could just book the AP rate (then we'd only have to pay about a $60 deposit), but if we end up adding the Dining Plan we'll have to deal with switching our Hoopdeedoo from paid in full to pay with Dining Plan. I know it's probably not that big of a deal, but I'd rather not have to deal with it. If I go ahead and book the package, then the deposit is $200, which really isn't that big of a deal, but I don't think he likes the idea.
I have been checking Hoopdeedoo ADRs for the 9:30 showing, and have noticed that they don't book up that far in advance, so I could just worry about getting the non-pay in advance ADRS, especially Le Cellier.
Anyways, Logan and I had a pretty full weekend much to Logan's dismay. He wanted a relaxing weekend, but it didn't work out like that. On Friday night he worked on his co-worker's yard, then had to go back again on Saturday to finish up. On Saturday night, I decided to bring a book and "go fishing" with him.
Right before we left Saturday I got a message from my Mom that said she was planning on coming out for Labor Day, and wondered when we would be back from the family reunion thing with Logan's family.
I asked Logan what he wanted me to say, because I always feel like we end up spending more time with my family, and I didn't want to cut into the time with his. Well, he told me we would be back that night, so my Mom decided that they would drive out Sunday night, instead of doing the whole round-trip on Monday, since half could stay with us, and they other half could stay with my brother.
Logan wasn't too happy with this, because he really wanted to relax for Labor Day, and he knew he wouldn't get to do that with my family there.
We spent Saturday with his family. It was really fun, especially for Logan, because they brought the guns out for skeet shooting. (he was disappointed that he didn't bring his) He had never done it before, which really surprised me, because I have. I mostly sat and talked with the ladies. I did try shooting, but I missed both shots like usual. I also got a sunburn from standing out there.
We did get about 2 hours of a break after we drove back home before my family arrived.
Yesterday, we went out to the lake and cooked out. I decided this would be a decent compromise, since Logan had planned on fishing on his day off anyways. Also, our apartment is dinky and not at all suitable for entertaining 6 extra people, especially whilst eating. Both of my brothers came out, which was nice, because even though my oldest (but still younger than me) brother moved out here last month, I've only seen him once. He and I don't get along the best, mostly because we're closest in age of all my siblings at only 15 months apart, and I don't necessarily agree with a lot of his life choices.
They all left around 5, so we got a bit more time alone, but Logan didn't get the relaxing weekend that he wanted. Hopefully next weekend will be better.
