I, too, am a photo-taking junkie!!!:lmao: I just love taking pictures!! I have a friend that constantly makes fun of me after a trip and the number of photos I take. In fact, we just went on a small trip together and she was constantly asking me where my camera was! :rotfl: Ah, such is life!!:)

Good Morning Snowbirds!!!!

OOH Kim I hope your little one gets to feeling better soon!!! Uggh to the croup!!!

Yes it does seem like planning makes everything go by so much faster. I leave in a little under 3 weeks and I'm still trying to figure out everything LOL!!!

I wish fall would get here sooner...on the good side it has been a lot less humid around these parts!!!!

Hey Snowbird Buddies! :goodvibes

I just have to say that I think it is soo cool that we all still hang out and chat with one another! :thumbsup2

I too am in a bit of a planning rut! :upsidedow We know which parks we want to do on which days and a few of the other things we are hoping to do. I am looking at restaurants and trying to figure out where we will be eating. popcorn::

These are the absolute for sure going to happen ones - Le Cellier, Biergarten, 8:05am Crystal Palace and the Plaza. We have 3 more that I am still trying to figure out! Specifically, which TS @ DHS and whether to eat @ Tusker House for Breakfast on our AK day or eat @ Boatwright's for supper that evening? :confused3

We are obviously staying at POFQ! The current plan for that AK day is to be at AK from RD - about 3pm, then go back to POFQ and explore, swim and hang out around at POFQ/POR for the eveing!

Have any of you done both of these places and can comment on your experiences? I would love to hear from someone on that!

Our other unknown at the moment is which resort we should have a late character breakfast at on our "Starlight" day at Epcot! The choices have been narrowed down to 'Ohana, Chef Mickey's and Cape May. I am pushing for 'Ohana as I would love to be able to see the Poly grounds and gardens in the daytime! We had supper there this past January but it was too dark at 530pm to see anything!

The last and final decision I am trying to make is what Ken and I should do while the girls are on their Pirate Cruise? We will have about 2 hours to spend ALONE  while the chickies are off being pirates! We will most likely have eaten breakfast already so an ADR is really out. Anybody have any suggestions? They wil be doing the Cruise at GF!

MMMMM Biergarten. I usually try to stay away from buffets on vacation, but Biergarten is a must do every trip for us. If we can fit it in twice, even better.

I would do 'Ohana personally. We went to Chef Mickey's on our first trip, and we had great service and the food was great. Unfortunately for us, there was a high school band there at the same time as us. As soon as they saw Goofy they left their tables and surrounded him. Goofy never got a chance to make it to our table while we were there b/c the high school mob wouldn't let him around to the tables. We did 'Ohanas on our last trip and the boys loved it. Stitch is their favorite character. The food was really good, and I loved it not being a buffet. Plus as long as they have the Mickey waffles, I'm a happy woman.

If you wanted to spend the money, you two could be pirates yourself and rent Sea Raycers. If you wanted to not spend any money you could just always go to the Poly and slowly walk around and enjoy the grounds just the two of you. Then you could sit in a hammock on the beach and just relax for a bit.

Does anyone have an fun plans for Labor Day weekend? We're having a little family picnic at our house on Monday. We had Memorial Day at my parents house and then had 4th of July at my sister and BIL's house. Now, it's our turn! That's about it for us this weekend. The 3 of us might do something on Saturday, but I'm not sure. Hope that you all have a wonderful day!

We're spending Sunday with Logan's family for a family reunion type thing. I have no idea what it will include, because its not my family, and apparently they haven't done anything like this with his family before, so he's as clueless as I am.

I can't believe you girls are so close to your trips!!!!! :cool1:

My DS didn't even make it the first week of school without being sick. Home today with a fever already. So I have one with a fever and one that sounds like a barking seal...nice. It's been a while since we've had any illness at our house. Guess we were due for it. :sad2:

I'm of no help with your planning troubles. Just wanted to agree that it is pretty cool that we all still chat

LOL!! Yeah, on big trips I take a ton of pictures. But mind you this trip was only baseball. So the pictures are basically of stadiums and hot guys in a baseball uniform!:lmao: And the 600 is after removing all the doubles and blurry ones.

Labor Day I should have off, which means my friend and I will be making a day trip to Beloit for our local baseball teams final game of the season...:sad2:. Then the winter depression starts.

POST some of those guys please! Nothing like a man in a baseball uniform!

Kim...the Stitch and Lilo were awesome at the Poly. But... I liked the food choices better at Cape May. I really like the way the characters come around too...not quite so hyper as Chef Mickeys. But, aren't Cape May and Chef Mickeys the same food choices? AND...we will do Chef Mickeys this time since we are at CR, but I like Cape May!

In that case, you didn't take ENOUGH pictures! ;)

Sorry I can't add any comments on character breakfasts, but I also wanted to add...MMMMMM, Biergarten! :thumbsup2

Hey! I have in-laws right on the IL side of Beloit! :)

I've never eaten at Tusker House. I did like Boatwright's quite a bit, though, so I'm only of moderate help. ;)

Husband comes home tonight!!

I got a dress for his cousin's wedding!! (amusingly, it's cousin's parents who live near Beloit) And cute shoes! I'm all set!

HAPPY FRIDAY!

HAPPY FRIDAY!
Happy Friday to you too!!
My DH's dad owns his own appliance repair business and he called yesterday and asked that my DH come with him today and help him with a job. I'm not sure how long my DH will be out of the house today, but I am so glad he's going to be gone at least a little while. This being around him 24/7 since January (or February, can't remember now) is really starting to drive me a little batty. My plan is to stay in my favorite PJ's all day, or at least until I have to get dressed to pick up the boys. I had lost them, but found them last night. I'm going to go curl up in bed and read the Karen Marie Moning book I started last night. It's the 3rd in a series of 8.

We have no plans for Labor Day that I know of. We may or may not go to the in laws Sunday or Monday. Then tonight and Sunday night we may or may not go on a raid in World of Warcraft. It'll just depend on if they need us to go or not. I hope we go b/c the guy that leads the raid is Brazlian and has the cutest accent. Then sometimes his daughter will get on and say "hi" and it's just too cute to hear her speak Portuguese.

Hi Shelly :wave2:
Well, I am truckin along now!!! I joined the TGM and have the UG crowd planner. so....I had some ideas of what we would do, and have most of my days planned as far as what park when!!!!!:yay: Just wanted to make sure my days lined up with what they advised.Only changed a few things.
I make ADRs on Sunday.....hopefully I can get what I need..if not, I will just keep checking every day. I haven't decided what we are doing that last Fri/Sat yet...other than repeats, eating, and shopping. If we do the christmas party, it'll be on Th the 10th. I really wanted to wait til closer to travel time and check the weather updates. I keep getting conflicting reports on whether we should purchase now or not. I would HATE to shell out that $$ and then it be a total waste. But, I would hate to wait and it's a sell out and we miss it!!! Well, I will talk to Mike tonight and see what he wants to do.The kids are reaaaaallly wanting to do it, so, I don't know! If he had let me go back in Jan it wouldn't be an issue!!
Did you get all your ADRs? did you use the online service to do your stuff or just called?

My ADR day was on a Sunday too. I just got up quietly and made our ADR's while the rest of the family was asleep! And when I was done it was time to get everyone ready for church! I called right at 7 and had to hold for quite sometime. While I was on hold I got nervous and decided to turn on the computer and try to get ADR's that way. So as I was in the middle of booking them the CM finally answered the phone! So when it was all said and done I had some double bookings, and I cancelled the extras. I think next time I will just do it all online.

I was able to get everything we wanted within an hour of what I wanted. But a few days later I decided that maybe I wanted to switch a few things around a bit, but that was a big NO GO! :sad2: And I have been checking everyday since. Still nothing. So make sure you know exactly what you want because you probably won't be able to change them later!

The MVMCP starts the week we are there in November, but we decided that we probably aren't going to do it. The kids don't even know about it. I'm just not sure it is worth all that extra money. :confused3 I am excited that we will get to see the Osborne Lights though! :cool1:

We have done the party before, but Gracie was only 2, I think, and doesn't remember it. We do like the cocoa and cookies!!! they keep asking about that part! Ha!!! Of couse, riding rides in the dark and cold during the first parade is pretty fun too!!!! I think we will skip the show at the castle forefront....it gets soooo packed! Our major must do for me and Gracie this trip is be at Toontown at 10 and see Pixie Hollow!!!! We had to skip it last time...it was unbelievable how long that line stayed!!!! I hope this time that and TSMM have calmed down a bit! I don't mind standing in a bit of a line, but I am not devoting my whole day to it!!! I will get FP for TSMM, but I know we missed a lot of fun stuff in the regular line. If it's 45 min or less, I am definitely gonna do it! And get a FP for later.
Thanks for the tip about the online thing....hopefully I can shift things around and get all of it in.....we hit Epcot several times, so we can do WS....this helps us up our chances:laughing: We all sound really sick don't we? I mean, who would have ever thought we would need all these strategies for a VACATION?!?!

I know, it's like a full time job!

Husband comes home tonight!!
So happy for you- I know you've been missing him:lovestruc:lovestruc

Funny how Disney does that to you. If we vacation at the beach or somewhere else, I book the place and pack a week out. No work involved.
Disney on the other hand, I've been packing and fretting and planning for months now and will be doing so for 4 more months! :scared1:Craziness I tell ya!!!

I am trying not to start packing until about a month out this time. That way I won't have suitcases laying all around my bedroom for months! :rotfl: I figure that about the first week of October is when I normally bring the winter clothes up from downstairs and pack away the summer clothes. That will be a good time to start packing for Disney! :thumbsup2

I did spend the day going through all of our travel toiletries the other day though! Got them all in their correct bags and marked ( you know, quart sized ziplock bags and checked/carry-on, etc.) and made a list of what all we need!

I'm at 21 days and I haven't even thought about packing...however I have crossed off most things off my shopping list and I'm going to the outlet mall on Monday so I will get a few more shirts for Disney...I'm hoping to find some cute stuff for some great deals LOL!!!

So I have a question for you guys...and we all know that if you have a question you ask the snowbirds!! I'm doing DVC this next trip (a friend is letting me use her points) will I be able to do the online check in early??? I haven't heard anything about this and was wondering if any of you knew???
