~Snowbird Chat 2~

Don't give up yet, Meghan. How long will they let you go before inducing?

I have another doctor's appointment scheduled for Tuesday. The nurse practitioner I saw last week said they wouldn't let me go past Tuesday, so that's good I guess. I am just not a very patient person...I'm going crazy!

I was just surprised that they had her go to the hospital right away after her water broke. With many of my friends who had their water break, their doctors told them to call back once they started having contractions.

I was induced with Madison, so I have NO idea what it's like to go into labor on my own. My doctor used cervadil and I never had to get any pitocin. My contractions started at 9pm (after they removed the cervadil) and Madison was born at 7am the next day. I was really hoping to go into labor on my own this time, but it just doesn't look like that is going to happen. I must say, I'm a little disappointed.

I was always told to go to the hospital if my water broke, even if I wasn't having contractions. It probably depends on the doctor.

It's possible that your natural gestation time is as long as 42 weeks, which would explain why they induced you the first time. Full term gestation is anywhere from 38 to 42 weeks. It's good that the cervadil worked for you the first time though, because that means it will likely work again. Pitocin isn't fun for anyone.

I'll be sending plenty of spontaneous labor vibes!:goodvibes

Hang in there, sister! You know how things went with Evangeline. My Dr was positive that I would not go in to labor during the weekend and that we would be inducing the next week. Your body will know when it's time, every labor experience is different. *Lots of hugs!*

I'm just starting to worry that the baby is going to be too big. Madison was 8 lbs and I can't even imagine having a baby bigger than that. AHHH!!!

I'm trying my best to just relax and not worry about things. My mom is a life saver today. She took me shopping for a pair of maternity shorts and a sleeveless top. I know I don't have much longer, but I'm just dying in this heat we've been having lately.

Hi Snowbirds! Y'all missed me right? I've just not been in the mood to DIS. We're planning on next spring but in my heart I want to go back this fall so I'm being pathetic lately and missing Disney.

Meghan- I hope that handsome little guy decides to come out soon. This heat is awful and I feel for you.

Mindy- Enjoy your colorful tie dye PJ's! You get points for trying! :thumbsup2 Love the bag!

Soleil- Welcome back! Glad you decided to start chatting again! :flower3:

Shelly- Happy double digits dance a few days late! I'll be sure to stop by your PTR soon!

Snyky- Congrats on graduation and glad your trip went so well!

Becca- Glad you are safe in Korea- sorry it was a hassle getting there.

Sarah- Love the sweater!

I know I'm missing a few updates but I forgot to quote and am just going on memory here so forgive me. ;)

We just got home from a weekend camping. It was nice to relax! I spent some time catching up on some digital scrapbooking. I finished Andrew's age 6 album and Em's age 3 album. I'll share them once I upload them to shutterfly.

I'm sure it will be fine! Just hang in there!

Me too! I have my doctor's appt today, so I'll keep everyone updated as best I can.

I'm still hanging in there.:goodvibes I had a great day with my family yesterday and now we all can't wait to meet this little guy!

Meghan-I worried about the size of Chase before he was born. Everyone says baby #2 is bigger. Rylan was 9 lbs, 12 oz and I couldn't see me hosting a baby bigger than that. Fortunately, Chase was only 7 lbs, 9 oz.

Your little guy will be just perfect! I can't wait to hear all about him :). Good luck today.

Mine have gotten smaller each time...thank goodness, since the first was 9lbs6oz. Number 3 was down to 8lbs8oz! :) (I'm not particularly large, and I didn't even look really hugely pregnant, although I did feel like I was! I don't know where they were hiding. :confused3 )

Still thinking happy thoughts for you Meghan! :cheer2:

Me and my sisters were all pretty good size. My older sis was 9 lbs 6 oz, I was 8 lbs 8 oz and my little sis was 8 lbs 14oz. My mom was late with all of us.

I'm just hoping this little guy isn't too big...we kind of have a lot of newborn sized clothing!!

Hoping it's today Meghan!!! Thinking good labor thoughts for you.

Mee too!!! I said a little prayer for you this morning. :goodvibes

Add me to that praying list, Meghan!!

Me too Meghan! :goodvibes

You ladies are the best!!! Unfortunately, we have a few more days to wait. :sad1: Had another sonogram today, a non stress test and an exam. After looking at everything, I'm going in for an induction Thursday night. I was beyond disappointed when they first told me this. I had already gotten used to the fact I wouldn't be able to go to my dance recitals this weekend and I wouldn't be able to go to the big Buffalo Irish dancing competition on Saturday. Now, I won't even be able to get Madison ready in the morning for her competition and I'm devastated. I really don't know what the extra 2 days are for, but I just have to deal with it. I'm still hoping that the little guy will want to show up tonight or tomorrow!!!

I guess it's really the baby who is hanging in there!

I suppose I should send some more spontaneous labor vibes! :goodvibes Who knows the extra two days could be all the time you need to go into labor on your own.

He is definately still hanging in there! I guess he's pretty comfy and cozy. There are some good things about him not being here yet. I'm able to go to dress rehersal for the recital tonight. This makes me very happy because I'm definately going to miss both of the recitals. Also, my regular ob/gyn is going to be at the hospital on Friday (I go to a practice that has 6 doctors) and I love her to pieces!!

Those are good things! Maybe she'll be the one who delivers your little guy.

I'm finding myself checking every couple hours to see if there are any updates from Meghan!! Still in my prayers!!
