Do you like making handmade items? Sewing, knitting, scrapbooking,...... And, do you like receiving them as well or do you prefer store bought gifts?:goodvibes

In my younger days I loved knitting etc, now that i'm old and a grandparent i'd rather buy it. I always thought granny's were suppose to like knitting :confused3

Guess that was BEFORE internet games!

:rotfl:

If there was a wild animal-ex. bear by your front door, what would you do? :goodvibes

:scared1: go hide in my closet. I think I would make noise trying to scare it away.

I did come home from work (by myself) at 3am a few years ago and a skunk was next to my car right after I shut it off :scared: It moved but I was afraid to get out of my car for about 30 minutes. And even then I very slowly opened the door as I hadn't seen it for awhile but was afraid it was still close by.

Another time I came home and a huge raccoon was on my deck looking at me. It was 4 am, I wanted so badly to go in the house and get some sleep but had to wait for it to move. Both of these took place after working 10/11 hour days with a 1 hour commute each way.

Offtopic: There is a thread on the budget board asking for post cards for a school project, on the last page they said they still need one from Hawaii. :sail:

:rotfl::scared1: I would not want to come face to face with any type of wildlife.

I will check out the postcard thread.

There are two questions today.

1. Today is my daughter's last day of school, say if it was your last day of school, and your parent(s) say that it would be your choice of what type of homemade dinner mom/dad would make, what would you choose along with dessert?

2. Here in Hawaii, when there is a party, graduation.... people give each other leis. During these types of events, what do people give to each other to congratule the person?

If you were not feeling well, is there someone in your family that would take care of you, and do all of the housework, take care of the kids, cook the meals, do the laundry, and other chores that has to be done? Or, are you the person that everyone relies on, and you have no choice but to get out of bed? :goodvibes

I like recieving homemade gifts (especially homemade chocolate chip cookies:goodvibes, just in case anyone needs any gift ideas for me:lmao:). I'm not very crafty though, so I don't make much in the way of sewing etc. I wish I was better at that stuff.:headache:

I would probably want lasanga, with some meatballs and a nice big salad. I never know with dessert, sometimes I crave chocolate and sometimes I crave fruit, so maybe some chocolate covered strawberries, that would be the best of both worlds..
Sometimes people just give cut flowers, nothing traditional though.:flower3:
