While I have no idea of what expenses you might have, it seems that if you are living at home you shouldn't have a problem saving some money. Perhaps get a second job in retail and have that check direct deposited into a savings account--out of sight, out of mind?
My expenses deal mainly with my allergies. As stated before my soap cost $8 per bottle. I have no other choice in soap. Everything else breaks me out. Because of this, I have to carry it with me where ever I go. Meaning, I use more of my soap that I buy than people that don't stay home all day. Meaning, I have to buy it more often. This is just 1 thing. I also have to use certain shampoo, conditioner, certain makeup, certain lotion, etc. Any thing that touches my skin I have to be extremely careful of or I break out in itchy, red hives that also hurt. And what I can actually use is not found in the local dollar shops. And they tend to be more expensive. This is just a huge part of my expenses. I also have allergy medicine to buy every week.
I buy most of my own food, too. Not my father. Because of my lack of transportation, I can only go to Wal-Mart to shop.
I do give my father some money to help with household expenses such as gas, lights, etc. But it's no where near what rent would cost me.
But, I can not save up much if any money after my expenses. I do not go out to eat, I don't go out. Period. I do buy extras of items that I know I need to stock up for when I know I won't be working.
I also have over $60,000 in debt that I can't pay. Half of it was due to medical bills and it doubled due to fees and finance charges. I can't even save enough money to file for bankruptcy.
I used to have a second job. But both places that I worked at part time closed. I don't get home from my full time job until about 6:30. Every place around here closes about 8 pm. They will not hire someone to work only 1.5 hr at night or only weekends. I've already tried.
The only other places nearby are restaurants, which I can't work at since just the smell of certain foods make me physically ill. There is also Wal-Mart, but they also won't hire me because I can't work during their particular schedule. My father can't give me a ride anywhere else because he works from early afternoon to 11pm.
So, I'm stuck.
I have sold stuff on the internet, but most of what I have now, no one wants. I've had a few things listed on a couple sites for about 3-4 years. I have nothing of value to most people.
