There are those who live by itineraries and touring plans for Disney...and those who do not. I chose to make one just to keep me busy in the weeks leading up to our Spring Break trip and it worked out surprisingly well. We just have a toddler, not a large family, and I wasn't rushing everyone around to get to places on schedule it was nice to have a little piece of paper to look at and remind us what rides still needed to be crossed off, etc. I'm including my actual schedules at photo attachments but there's also a link to my blog that discusses our days in further detail.

My first post discusses our two days at Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure and Epcot. The Epcot morning wasn't great because my kiddo isn't a morning person. I kinda wish we had skipped the rope-drop and went in the afternoon so we would have had enough energy to stay for the fireworks. Ah well, lesson learned there!

My second post was about our day at Magic Kingdom. Once again we did rope drop, got a TON of stuff done in the morning but crapped out by the evening and didn't stay for the fireworks. Of course, during Spring Break they opened MK at 7 am and didn't have fireworks till about 10 pm. That's a big difference than if you go in December or January.

All in all I think our week went really well! Even though this was our third trip in 2 years there's STILL some things we haven't seen yet, like the Swiss Family Treehouse, but those aren't high on our radar just yet. I'd love to visit WDW again in January but their resort prices seem a little steep at the moment with no sales going on so I think I'll wait and see how much they are in a few months.

I made an Itinerarie for my boyfriend and I. I hope it comes out as organized as this!

Love it! I do pretty much the same thing and keep a diary of what we actually do vs. planned. I find it helps a lot in planning the next trip for how much time to allocate. I find I almost always assume things will take longer than they do and am amazed by how much we can fit in, but I also like having a little buffer of time. We also spend a lot of time deviating from our original plan, but having the plan makes it a lot easier to switch stuff up on the fly.

Same here, I was able to squeeze SO much in right after rope drop, we had time to shop around while we waited for Alice to make an appearance! One thing I underestimated was the train around Magic Kingdom though. Super long line to get on and then a 20-minute ride to get to the front. We missed our FP with Mickey because of that :P

Thanks for sharing! I'm currently trying to figure out how to plan 3 days in MK for a character loving 5 year old girl. This is helpful!
