Share Senseo is back!

Sorry, I hope you get one. I can't understand why you didn't. Did you say you had one already? I didn't, I got the email. I am kind of wondering if I should of ordered it though. I am concerned I won't like it and it will be one more thing to take up space on our new counter tops for DH to complain about. :rotfl:

MKCP5, the $15 is for S&H (still a lot though, I am willing to bet it doesn't cost them that much to ship it.) It is a one time thing. You can buy the pods in most grocery stores.

I can't remember if is asked if we had one already, but if it did, I would have said yes. Maybe I need to go back & try it again with no. lol

Thanks.

I remember it did ask if you had a single serving coffee maker. I said no.

I got my offer email today, I think it was about 3 weeks ago I filled out that form.

Got an email today and I filled out the survey days ago. I was wondering about it earlier. Thanks for the heads up OP.

Hi,

I got my Senseo today. It is black. Just wanted to say that I filled out the invitation one afternoon and by about 9 pm that evening I got the email saying I was accepted.

The reusable pods where you put your own coffee in are for sale at my local WalMart. They are in the area where they sale the coffee makers and they are $9.96.

Also, something a little strange. It cam in a DHL box but was delivered by my mail carrier. I don't understand that. Good luck to everyone who wants one!

Yeah DHL delivers it to USPS and then USPS delivers it to your house. It's a service that DHL has which I can't remember the name of right now.

Mine came today. The coffee packets smell good, but I am waiting for the new counter tops to be installed (the guys are here right now doing it) before I try it out. :thumbsup2

I want one for my new countertops too! :guilty: :guilty: :guilty: :guilty:

I received mine today. Does anyone know if these machines are refurbished or returns? The box that mine came in had broken seals and the tab was cut off like someone used a pair of scissors to open it up (in other words, it doesn't look like it was opened at the manufacturer.)

I am a little scared of the thing. :scared: I had a hard time getting it to work, but I think I didn't put enough water in it the 1st time. It is a bit noisy and intimidating. :scared1:

Then it only made a half a cup. That was ok with me since I didn't' want much. I just wanted to try it out. It tasted ok, but I needed to warm it up in the microwave before I could drink it. I don't even like my coffee that hot. I will try in again tomorrow. I want to get different pods for it now.

Does any pod system work?

I always fill the water reservoir, also I always choose the 2 cup option as they go by a standard coffee cup size not the mugs almost everyone uses.

Also did you remember to flush it first prior to brewing your first cup?:surfweb:

Mine was like that, too. I just assumed they had to open it to put in the bag of pods and the container?

I wondered the same thing. Mine came today, and the box does look like it is NOT new. I haven't taken it out yet to try it, because we have been so stinkin' busy, but I hope to later tonight.

They are new machienes. The box is cut open before they mail them because they need to add the pods and canister--when you buy them in the store they do not come with these. They will also send damaged boxes to discourage you form selling the item as new on ebay.
Before you make your first cup you need to "prime the line" in other words you need to fill the water reservoir, and run the water up through the lines to get it to heat--you need to run it through for two cups and dump the water before making your first cup. These make the standard 4oz coffee cup to make a mug use two pods with the larger pod holder and press the 2 cup button while centering your coffee mug. If you prefer to try it with your own coffee cut a filter down press into a 1/4 cup measuring cup with a tylenol bottle, add a scoop of your favorite coffee, fold down the filter and press agian with the tylenol bottle. flip it out of the cup and into the double pod holder and run the machiene with the two cup button.
Other pods fit, but do not get the folgers cappacino ones they have some kind of plastic insert in them that prevents them from fitting in the Senseo.

Thanks for the hints, :thumbsup2 I would have likely bought the cappacino. Do other brand cappacinos work? I found some Gevila ?? pods at Macy's but they were for the machine that starts with a T. Anyone know if they work?

I just got the email finally! I'm ordering mine today. I'm the only coffee drinker in the house, so I think this will be good for me! Is it bigger or smaller than a regular 12 cup coffeepot?

Do you know what the title of the email was? No one has answered that for me.

Do you know when you filled out the survey?

Did you imply you belong to a group that meets often?

I've done it on 3 emails so far with different answers....and NOTHING. I'm ready to take so Target gift cards I have & just go buy the deluxe model online since I can't find anything else at Target to use them on. lol That way DH's favorite travel mugs will be sure to fit underneath the deluxes adjustable spout.

Title: Get ready to share Seneso: You're elegible (something like that)

I filled out the survey yesterday, received the e-mail today.
I answered that our group meets 2x a month (volunteer groups)

Just got mine today, I guess a month after I filled out the survey? The funny thing is that what I really wanted was a Keurig since it also brews cocoa and tea pods, plus an accessory for brewing your own coffee. But I settled for Senseo b/c of the $15 price. Lo and behold, this weekend we saw a Keurig for a good price and tons of free pods at Costco, and we went ahead and bought it. LOVE IT! So now I have a Keurig and a Senseo. I think we'll give the Senseo as a stocking stuffer to my DFIL...though how I'm going to fit that into a stocking... :confused3 :lmao:
