All reports say it was minor, immediately put out and no one hurt. Thank goodness. Now that being said, the park has fire works every night and no one though of flying embers?

I watch from back there a lot. On numerous occasions we have had debris landing all around us and a few times there were "embers". We brush them off and am sure they are sweeping them up asap. They know, I think the odds of it being a problem are low. That said this happening to the new ride with so many people around will probably lead to some additional sprinklers. Honestly surprised the mountain doesn't have them already.

That's like saying, "Dang, I really wanted to go see the twin towers when I go to NY. I wish it wouldn't have happened but why couldn't the planes have hit some other buildings."

I know the scope of each situation was much different but it's along the same line of thinking.

Apparently from this story in the Orlando Sentential today this was a very minor fire and the ride will be operating normally today.

Don't worry, they're all thinking the same thing that you are. But they have to continue their breathless, empty concerns for the well-being of everyone within the tri-state area of the fire in order to attempt to prove to themselves that they're good people.

Surprisingly enough this happens a couple times a year. The MK fireworks are not shot up that high and it is common for burning "stuff" to hit the ground. Not a biggie... I am sure there will be no problems when you arrive. Have a great time!
