Seriously...whats up with crocs?

I dont wear the closed, clog type but the flip flops are amazing. I wear them all the time. I have a pair that I wear inside the house and a pair that I wear out. They are the same pair, but when the first ones lost their non slip I bought more and change them out. I used to only wear them in disney or when it rains but they are so comfortable that they are the only flip flop I have worn for a couple of years now. I love flip flops in general but I REALLY love my croc flip flops!

The thing about the Crocs brand is that they have their proprietary material that the imitators can't seem to duplicate. They've got that nice balance between comfort and durability.

Funny story. We were in Epcot getting ready for Illuminations one night. My husband's sandals he wore into the park started disintegrating with every step. He was at the point of being barefoot.

Fortunately, he found a kiosk selling Mickey Crocs to get him through the rest of the trip.
Did he get any Mickey tan lines on his feet? :earboy2:

they are SO comfortable!!!
i use them as my slippers in the house (so i personally do not wear them outside), my husband has 2 pairs for outside/washing his car/quick errands, and my daughter loves hers!

Some years ago I was wearing Crocs while strolling along the Boardwalk at WDW. I don't recall if it had just rained, or if they had just hosed-down the boardwalk but it was like walking on a hockey rink in those Crocs.

I liked them for a while, but I'm over them now.

That's only why I wear my Crocs around the yard....... but it's got to be dry outside. Those Crocs get wet and yes your analogy is perfect, Ron!!!! 👍

I'm a nurse and I wear a pair from the Work line. Not sure if they are different than the regular clogs but they are more narrow than the regular clogs and do not have holes. They are the best work shoes I've worn. My nieces wear theirs all the time. I'm going to try the flip flops next. Outlet here has them BOGO

They are really just a trendy brand name for what most others call sandals/slides or flip-flops. Personally, not my style of footwear, but just depends on what you like.

Original crocs are more akin to clogs if you're going to compare to something:

These are no where near flip flops or sandals to most people and is generally what people associate crocs with.

My mother-in-law bought me the thong/flip flop versions with a cat print. Sadly I can't wear them (and I would from time to time) because the part that goes between the toe is harder material. I can't stand that. I really can only wear flip flops with fabric toe separators.

Personally I wouldn't wear the original crocs. Some of their newer styles aren't that bad in the aesthetics department though. I can't speak to comfort because I haven't worn the ones I have at all but they seem fairly comfortable.

I LOVE my Croc flip flops and sandals. I used to wear the clogs, but eventually found they would give me blisters on the tops on my feet especially if they got wet.

I live in my Crocs! Mostly the clog type but I do have nice dressy black flats as well. I always say they are "better than bare feet". Comfortable, supportive - I just love them. And yes, I have been known to get Mickey shaped tan lines on the tops of my feet. I do wear them with socks in the winter. Don't really care what anyone else thinks when they look at my feet, they are my feet and if I am comfortable than that's what counts to me!

I don't care for crocs, but I don't like flip flops or sandals. My kids like 'em, but legit crocs are so expensive, they tend to only get Wal-Crocs.

That being said, I've been going on more and more hikes with my oldest son, and one was a hike that included tons of water crossings, aka wet shoes.
Everyone carries crocs for campsite shoes. I got a pair of Crocs Swiftwater Mesh shoes for this, and they are pretty nice. Super light, and comfortable for using around camp. I like them because they actually fit as firmly as a shoe, in the even you needed to wear them while hiking, too.

I have two Mickey pairs of the clogs. I wear them to Disney, the pool, the mailbox and to the beach. I have had them for years and they still look like brand new. I find them very comfortable.

Broke my toe last year and the podiatrist suggested getting Crocs. Went out and bought the traditional black version and a set of flip-flops. Within a couple of days, my feet started to feel much better. I wear the flip-flops everyday that I am outside the house. The black open-pattern version I wear when going to the beach/pool.

I'm sold on Crocs.

agreed. They are the worst in rain. I remember wearing them on a rainy day at Disneyland..... it was a comical show until I walked back to my hotel barefoot to change my shoes lol.

I have a soft plastic/rubber version that are very malleable. I can bend them in half. They are real Crocs (clog-style) and they are the only ones I seem to be able to wear. The original harder plastic version are uncomfortable on my feet.

I had a pair of these Disney crocs. OMG. I could wear them for 14 hrs and 20,000 steps in the parks all day. They were super comfortable.

the only issue is be careful when the bottoms are worn. These are so comfortable these became my Disney park shoes for three years in a row. And at home. After a while the bottoms were completely worn. If you have these on and there’s a down pour it’s like being on ice. One day I fell 3x on my bum. I was lucky Indidnt hurt myself.
But these sandals were worn for three years straight in a row. So they were actually ready to go. Unfortunately Disney stopped selling this exact pair I would definitely have gotten two pairs of those.
