I am planning our First WDW trip for the end of September 2015, Possibly the first week of October. Never been there in September/October. Who out there has been to WDW in September/October. Weather? Crowds? My DAunt tells me September is her favorite time to go.

Thoughts? Experiences?

Me and my DD go for NOJ weekend which is the first weekend of Sept. It was rainy last time but had some nice sunny weather too. The wether during that month is the same. Rainy and hot. Crowd wise it was really nice and low.

Our first trip was in September. The trip report link is in my signature. Lots of walk on rides ad short waits. It was overcast so we didn't bake in the sun, but the one day I wore long pants, I did get hot. It sprinkled off and on, but nothing major. You will have a wonderful time.

We have gone the past 7 years in September, ranging from mid September to end of September. We love that time due to the low crowds, good weather. We have lucked out with weather, normally 80's and sunny. My kids love pool time so we had back to the resort and swim in the afternoon and head back to parks for nighttime. We are planning our next trip sept 17-22 this upcoming September in 2014. There are normally good deals that come out for that timeframe in may/June...

We always go in the fall, mid Sept-late Oct/early Nov.

We have been there for record breaking lows, where we had to go shopping for hoodies. We have been there for heat waves of 90+ with 1000% humidity.
So, it can vary greatly!

We love that time of year though. Crowds used to be less, as school had started, but recently I feel there have been more people.

Lines are never too bad, usually 20 min or less, mostly around 10.

Also, the halloween decorations and MNSSHP are awesome!

We will be planning a extended family trip September 2015 for DS 5th birthday. We are DVC members and were planning on just using points. Now we are wondering if Free Dining might be available for September 2015. Does anyone know if this has historically happened in September. We are looking at going September 13-19, 2015.

You will love it! Absolutely our favorite time to go,,we go the last week of September into the first week of October. Very low crowds, great weather. It is hot but we like it like that, my kids love to swim at night after a long hot day at the parks....And if it works for your family they do usually offer free dining:)

We are heading down 9/27/14. Can't wait. The last time we went was in early March and we seemed to be there with lots of college spring breakers. Also, the weather varied greatly. We froze the first day and baked the rest of the week.

Friends of ours have been in September the last few years. They have been rained on quite a bit but threw on ponchos and enjoyed short wait times to indoor attractions.

Excellent point about the record lows. I was planning on hot and rainy. But thanks to your comment, I just remembered that one time we were at Myrtle Beach only a week into Sept and it got cold - sweatshirt cold. (And pants if we had thought to bring them). I live in the southeast and it took us by surprise.

We love going in September! It is still warm, but not sweltering like summer. The crowds are not quite as bad either. We will be there September 11!

I love the month of Sept. I am just hoping the crowds aren't overly crowded this year. I've been there in the past during the same time and had a great time, low crowds. This year has been somewhat difficult in planning.

We went during the latter part of September in 2012. Made the mistake of making Sunday our first day (also the mistake of making our first day the same day we flew in ha ha - lesson learned). Crowded and warmer than we had expected, and we are from the Arizona desert. Monday and Tuesday had much more manageable crowds. We did the most during the morning and in the evenings. We went last year in May. This year, we will be there the second week of Sep, and sadly I just realized that the Halloween decorations begin and Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain reopen the day after we leave the parks. Will definitely check the ride refurbishment schedule when planning the next trip.

Where are you getting that info from? I haven't seen anything saying they'll be closed. Astro Orbiter, It's Tough to Be a Bug, and Mickey's Philaharmagic are all supposed to be closed when we are there.

I am so done w sept
Last few trips hot hot hot, like 90 degrees at 9pm hot

Miserable!

Ymmv and I really hope it does :furious:
