OK all - sorry I've been quiet - had a gallbladder attack and was dealing with all the bureaucrats! Argh pirate: Just got home right now - anyway, I will try for 10 posts (and short ones at that - that will be the challenge). As I am usually an allnighter - I can bring up the tail end. :thumbsup2

PIT - There's a huge HalloweenClub right off the 5 fwy in LA in Norwalk, CA (close to 605) - usually have a good selection until right before Halloween.

Who's in charge of tag? Put us down - eeyorelvr10 (Steve and Laura)

Anything else I'll put on the my next post.

Love the pirate: jokes - but how come I can never remember the clean ones? :rolleyes1

2 down - 8 to go ;)

OK - 1st w/ business: 3 down 7 to go

2nd: According to AOL weather: Tropical Storm Chris (center at least) was only about 100 miles of St. Thomas on Wed afternoon. Angtigua and other islands got lighter than expected conditions.

I hope that mother nature gets it out of her system but that she not hit as hard as last year.

Anyone want to start a prayer chain going? Heard it helps! (Explain that one later - right now the dogs are clammering to be let in. )

Hope you are feeling better soon and everything is right as rain! :grouphug:

WOW... ya'll are at it again! We'll have 10,000 posts before the end of the month at this rate!:cool1:
Laurie: WOW Bubba Mugs for $1.00??? I want to shop at YOUR Wal-Mart! We have 2 Wal-Mart Super Centers within 5 miles. One had NO Bubba Mugs at all... the other had a lot... on clearance, but still at $4. You would think the markdowns would all be the same. Guess they figure we use them longer here in FL. :confused3

Thanks! I still have to check out their website, and maybe try to get into a store. So Cal is notorious for kicking trucks out of parking lots so I'll have to see if it's one of "those places". Rancho Cucamongo (sp?) is one of the places we get kicked out of the most. All we ever want to do is go to their flippin' movie theatre and they kick us out of their parking lot and threaten to tow us! Meanies! If I can't find a costume I guess I'm gonna get a t-shirt made that says "this IS my pirate costume AAARH! pirate: " :lmao: :lmao: That would be pretty cool, huh?

Hi Leslie

Remember that in Napa, everyone walks around sipping out of wine glasses. The Walmart there just didn't have a market for the Bubba Mugs. Now if they had a put a stem on the mug, then that would have changed the image and they would probably sell them at a premium. :rotfl2:
(just kidding Laurie - we love Napa - especially the sipping!)

I think we've got the best prices on Bubba Kegs here in Napa. Both sizes were $1.00!!! :thumbsup2

Unfortunately, they didn't have the 52oz in dis green, but they did in the smaller size. If anyone wants one for a $1.00 in any other color, let me know!

Okay that is just wrong....I stopped at Canadian Tire on my way home...I was very excited when the saleslady knew not only what BUBBA Mugs/Kegs were but she also knew exactly where to find them in the store.

What I wasn't expecting was the price.....the 52 oz Bubba Keg was sale....for $14.99...regular price $19.99 :scared1: . They didn't have any "cool" colours...just black/silver, red/silver and blue/silver.

I'm so glad my buddy Leslie has mine waiting for me at her house!!!!!!

just another friendly reminder to send me a PM with your excursion list....

...okay trying to get my 10 posts today....

also...if you'd like to join us for the Disney Wonder DisBoard Jammie Breakfast in Triton's on the 19th....please send me a PM with the names of the people in your party that would like to attend.

trying?

Edit:
SCORE!!! 6700!!

Okay...

PIT: my son likes those jokes, he tells them to me every few months.

Laura- Better get that gallbladder fixed or the cruise could put you in a pickle. How do you feel about emergency surgery in a third world country? If you don't get it fixed you might want traveller's insurance incase you have to be flighted out...I'm such the downer!

Back to my patients, it's the top of the hour...

:sad2: :sad2: :sad2: And we Americans complain about prices! That's what I call "Bubba Mug Price Gouging". Someone should report that! That's worse that gas in FL during and after a hurricane!
Just a sidenote that I have seen the big ones for $4.99 in all colors in Pilot Truck Stops

okay I know this multiple posting is wrong...BUT

PrettyInTink - I am what one would call "pooh sized" and I couldn't find a Pirate wench costume that would fit right so I am having one made (by Mom)...I found a Renaissance type costume because all the Pirate type ones we found we a bit "sleazy" for my liking.....the costume is almost done...just have the vest to finish....I can't wait to wear it on Pirate Night!!!!!

I did look at the pictures I had from Pirate Night on our Panama Canal cruise last year so I would have an idea of typical Pirate costumes.

DH and I had lunch together today and he asked if I was going straight back to the office and I said "no, I have to stop by Walmart". Now, he knows I am a Target shopper and asked what for???? Well, I had to fess-up and give him the dirty details on the Bubba Kegs :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Ken...Guess what we are drinking our wine out of tonight??!! :cheer2:

I figured my fellow-Napan cruiser had raided the Walmart of the 52oz. dis green keg:rolleyes1 Honestly, I can't imagine hauling that big thing around!!

Contempalting that move to Florida!
For any of you wondering when you are a Floridian: (Does not apply to Locals or Conchs)
You know you are a Floridian when making coffee on the gas grill doesn't seem like an odd thing to do.

You know you are a Floridian if you flinch when you meet someone named, Wilma, Katrina, Rita, Bonnie, Frances or Ivan.

- when you have FEMA on your speed dial.

Ice is a valid topic of conversation.

You can recite from memory whole sections of your homeowners policy.

Three months ago you couldn't hang a shower curtain, now you know how to assemble and run a portable generator by candlelight.

Well things ALWAYS cost more in Canada...for example today a litre of gas is $1.12 which would equate to $4.24 gallon (1 gallon = 3.785 L)....it's a good thing I drive a small car that is VERY good on gas....can drive to Florida and back for about $200 US.

I'm taking Mom to Niagara Falls USA on Friday to celebrate her birthday (and yes Bob we will be going to Cracker Barrel!!!!!!!)...I'll have to see if they have any Bubba Kegs at the WalMarts there....would be fun to show up at work with one!!!!

I am in for Tag

I think the Bubba Mug picture should be the same time as the pirate picture.

Does anyone know if the Muppet show, is with Muppet sized charaters or Disney Meet and Greet type of Charaters?

Darn I just wasted material that could have been broken into 3 different posts
