I agree with you on the SLEAZE factor of some of these costumes. I rarely wear anything too revealing as I am pooh sized as well. I am considering having one made. There are a few people I know who sew fairly well. I have an old standby tank thingy that I have in several colors to wear under clothes that are too low cut for my liking. The funny thing is that skinny women with proportional chests to their bodies can wear these costumes without looking bad. But when I put on the same thing even in my size I look like a jezzabel. It is very frustrating, but also a good sign I need to lose weight.Mickey&JoshNut said:okay I know this multiple posting is wrong...BUT
PrettyInTink - I am what one would call "pooh sized" and I couldn't find a Pirate wench costume that would fit right so I am having one made (by Mom)...I found a Renaissance type costume because all the Pirate type ones we found we a bit "sleazy" for my liking.....the costume is almost done...just have the vest to finish....I can't wait to wear it on Pirate Night!!!!!
I did look at the pictures I had from Pirate Night on our Panama Canal cruise last year so I would have an idea of typical Pirate costumes.
So how is everyone's pre-cruise slim down going? It's CRUNCH TIME ladies and gents! I just have to keep repeating over and over: Dr Atkins is my friend-Meat is good for you-you don't want your butt to jiggle in the goofy pool do you ?
