We stayed at two rooms at POP last yr. Our one DD just turned 3 and with the new baby we are over the limit. Even with the baby being free. I was looking at 2 suites at AoA but I decided to check out the bigger options and it looks like for our May trip OKW will save us money. Which DH is excited about since we can now be together. It is our anniversary For our big dec trip I have looked into staying at the campgrounds and renting a 5th wheeler. The price is really good. Unless free dining comes out I may see about switching for a good deal. We will just see what happens.

My family (DH and DS (2)) will also be down in September. Going the week of the 13th. Haven't yet decided if we're staying until Sunday or Monday of the following week. Most likely staying at AoA unless some really great discounts come out. Haven't been since May 2013 so I'm itching to go!!! I have never stayed at AOA, so we'll see.

I haven't given much thought to anything special for our anniversary or my DS birthday, I guess being in Disney is just so special in itself. I would love suggestions or ideas though!

It can be used for longer stays....and I seriously doubt if they will let you combine with FD.

It's a great deal however you have to be staying at an all stars resort.

I cannot agree more.. The first trip is the BEST!!!
This isn't the first time i've heard the surprise wasn't so.... surprising?? maybe it was because they were young? or haven't been there before??

I think it was a combination of all the above, plus the fact that they were so tired. I made the mistake of telling them we were going to a water park that day too, so they were disappointed to find out we were going to the airport instead.

This trip we're surprising them with next week. With it being their third trip now, they really like to be involved with the planning. They say it extends the holiday for them, as they love to plan as much as I do! So we're trying to come up with a scavenger hunt or some next way of telling them we're going since right now they don't think we're going back until 2015.

Not a nerd... getting all Disney'ed up!!! anything they have to offer JUMP on it!!! any questions you have we are here to help!!!

Ok so we decided to do California Grill on our anniversary, after much debate between Narcoossee's & California Grill. My question is what would be the best time to book for so we can see Wishes. We will be going on Oct 2nd.

Please add me to the list for Sept 14-23. This will be our 2nd trip (first was feb 2013) with hubby and our 4 kids (7,5,3,1). My parents will be staying with us for the first half (14th-18th) so yeah for a date night. Kids are super excited to do MNSSHP this time! We are staying at Wyndam bonnet creek for the first half then moving on property to hopefully a Grand Floridian suite. It's killing me waiting till the 18th to see if there is availability with dvc points. Back up plan is beach club club level which is what we did for our first trip.

I'm excited to try a few different restaurants this time and visit one or two of our favorites from last time (CRT breakfast and HDDR). The kids are excited to see if we can get some different signatures this time. I'm excited to hit a few things we ran out of time doing before like getting dd a pearly in japan, playing agent p game, doing the passport thing, Scorcerers cards in MK, seeing Nemo show and. Salty and the beast shows, etc.

Thanks! I hear ya on these things! My kids loved PUSH so I almost don't have the heart to tell them. Thinking we'll just "keep missing him" and say it was an unlucky trip lol! I'm bummed about Poly too. We stayed where my DH stayed during his childhood trip last time (BC) so I was hoping to stay at my childhood resort (Poly) this time. I was even more excited because I had read it was one of the best club levels. But with the pool reno, I just can't pay those prices, especially when we wouldn't qualify for free dining either. Ugh!

Regardless there are still sooooo many things were looking forward to so it makes up for all the things we may miss!

Hi all!


We are very excited to be booked for September 23-30 at POR!! We had been hoping to swing CR but all the standard rooms were scooped up . I can't get over how pricey the other deluxe resorts are, Poly wants $700/night (don't they have a pool reno?) and AKL $900/night (we are a family of 5). Oh well, we have enjoyed POR before and will just be excited to be there!
