Sept 2014?

Thanks! I hear ya on these things! My kids loved PUSH so I almost don't have the heart to tell them. Thinking we'll just "keep missing him" and say it was an unlucky trip lol! I'm bummed about Poly too. We stayed where my DH stayed during his childhood trip last time (BC) so I was hoping to stay at my childhood resort (Poly) this time. I was even more excited because I had read it was one of the best club levels. But with the pool reno, I just can't pay those prices, especially when we wouldn't qualify for free dining either. Ugh!

Regardless there are still sooooo many things were looking forward to so it makes up for all the things we may miss!

This is why i am still booked at the Poly. I will STILL be in Disney.. and won't be in the resort too much. we still have the beach!

Hi all!

We are very excited to be booked for September 23-30 at POR!! We had been hoping to swing CR but all the standard rooms were scooped up :(. I can't get over how pricey the other deluxe resorts are, Poly wants $700/night (don't they have a pool reno?) and AKL $900/night (we are a family of 5). Oh well, we have enjoyed POR before and will just be excited to be there!

i have added you!!! we are a family of 5 too. Stayed at POR there just wasn't enough room for us like there was at the Poly. (Didn't like my daughter sleeping on that pull out thing on the floor right by the door)
Yet the resort is BEAUTIFUL! the food was amazing, and the pool was THE BEST!!! i think they refurbished it since the last time i was there?? :confused3

:wave2: I have added you!!!

Hey a NEIGHBOR!!!! What part of the ChiBeria are you from? I cannot agree with you more.. I am DONE with the snow and cold. DONE!!!! i also see we will be overlapping our vacations! :cool1:

Thanks! If you could actually modify our dates: we've added the 8-10 at BLT and then we move to BWV from 10-17 :woohoo:

I'm close to Midway.

I am so sick of this snow too and we're supposed to get more :scared1:

Can't wait for September hours to come out! I want to further my obsessive planning, lol!

I wonder if anyone knows the answer to this question. IF Disney offers free dining in September and I book my vacation with that promo, but then decide to upgrade my tickets to annual passes, will I lose the free dining promo?

Usually you need to purchase at least a 2-3 day park pass. Free dining is with a package (room and tickets).

We will be returning September 6-13/2014 staying at POR.

I cannot wait to return to my "other" home! We go every 4 years and it's just too long between trips. My oldest will be graduating HS this year :( Her first trip she was just 2 years old. It's so surreal watching your children grow up through Disney pictures.

How blessed we all are to share these precious trips with our children!

WHY AREN'T THE TIMES RELEASED YET!!?!?!?!?!

WHY AREN'T THE TIMES RELEASED YET!!?!?!?!?!

I am with you there! I wish the park times and dates of MNSSHP were released already so I could start figuring out ADRs, FastPass+, and everything else. I need something to take my mind off this awful winter! :crazy2:

My girls only trip has moved from August to September, so we can enjoy F&W and MNSSHP. The dates and resort are 9/20-24/14 and YC GV. I can't wait to get back to WDW in September!!

Heading to my Disney Home 9/22-10/1 I so can't wait! We are double deluxing :goodvibes

T.A. have hours announced but they seem sketchy?!?

The September Operating Schedule is out!!!! Easy WDW'S recommendations should be soon to follow!

Yep these are a little sketchy. I use touring plans they have not released their yet. Strange!!! wonder what they are waiting for...

September 12 through 18 for me and my family!

You have been added!

YAY but I also need October since we are there until Oct 4th. But that's ok, I can't make ADRs until March 31st so I still have a bit.

Which resorts?!?!

I kind of hope this source isn't correct because there are NO day time parades for Magic Kingdom the whole month?! What about the new Festival of Fantasy Parade?? I usually wait for the official Walt Disney World website info.

They cannot release these dates because Disney has not release the parades Officially.

That's why i think it is all sketchy. with possible changes coming

The good news is Sept is still the lowest Crowds!!! :woohoo:

That is Disney's calendar, it's the one they release first to the travel agents. So no, it's not sketchy, but yes there will likely be changes before September, there always is. They generally extend the hours a bit, and yes, I'm sure they'll be adding the parade once it's released officially.

ETA: If you go to Easy WDW's homepage, he posted his preliminary Sept calendar and recommendations. Also, the 2nd post on the page is the link to Disney's Travel Agent calendar with his thoughts on it and some additional explanations.

Yes there will be changes hence it being sketchy. they are not concrete. I had those release dates for a while, with all the changes coming nothing is absolute until the release of the new parades etc are released. Then the times are no longer sketchy :thumbsup2

I will say i am STOKED for the new mugs!!!

I just read the Sept calendar post that you linked to, super helpful, thanks!

I know it is all speculation and we won't know for some time, but I was bummed reading the comments. Someone mentioned that perhaps they are starting the Food&Wine Fest early to bump up reservations and thus cut out free dining. And then another person said this "At least one Disney exec has publicly stated that they need to get out of the free dining vortex. (My phrase, not theirs.) I think Iger made a statement to that affect at least two years ago at a quarterly stockholder update."
That would stink! I'm really hoping to take advantage of FD. Anyone else have any insight?

I'm in! Planning a Generations Trip, Grandmother, mom and myself for my 30th birthday! Aug 31 to Sept 7th
