Sept 2014?

I just read the Sept calendar post that you linked to, super helpful, thanks!

I know it is all speculation and we won't know for some time, but I was bummed reading the comments. Someone mentioned that perhaps they are starting the Food&Wine Fest early to bump up reservations and thus cut out free dining. And then another person said this "At least one Disney exec has publicly stated that they need to get out of the free dining vortex. (My phrase, not theirs.) I think Iger made a statement to that affect at least two years ago at a quarterly stockholder update."
That would stink! I'm really hoping to take advantage of FD. Anyone else have any insight?

I received the pin that gave the option of taking 35% off resort or free dining for September. We took the 35% since we stay in a 2 bdrm villa and save more with the discount than free dining would save us, but I've generally noticed in the past, that the pin code deals usually become general public offers at a later date. So it's a good indicator that there will still be free dining offered. Generally, I'm thinking that F&W being bumped up, is just them trying to stretch out special events as it draws more crowds, thus making them more money. So it doesn't necessarily have to be replacing free dining, it could just be them extending it for the sake of it being a popular event that draws a lot of people.

September can't come fast enough, with all the ice and snow (in Georgia of all places) it will be nice to be down in sunny Florida with my family.

Just finished booking the Beach Club resort for the whole week.

Can anyone tell me if the pull out bed is large enough for my 6'-1" 14 year old?

Thanks,

Mike D

Thanks for renewing my hope! :cool1:

Booking for sept 14th - 20th but can't decide between Bay Lake or Animal Kingdom?

We stayed at the AKL on our trip this last September. We totally loved it!! What view would you book at BLT? If it's a theme park view, hands down I would book that. If it's not, and you are going to do a Savanna view at the AKL, book AKL.

Just booked 19th Sept - 25th Sept at All Star Sports for my boyfriend's first trip. Super excited about F&W Festival!!

Thanks for adding me on the list- flights just released on southwest for that time of year - hopefully the price will drop before I book flights- I would guess from other reviews that the WL will be very nice-

Hi everyone! I currently have a trip booked for mid-August, but we are thinking about moving it back into September (hoping for FD). I'm looking at either the week of 9/7 or 9/14. The earlier week looks to be less crowded on the crowd calendars I have seen, but it also shows it historically has the highest occurrences for bad weather/storms. We went to WDW the week before labor day a few years ago, and it did rain almost every day for a short time, but nothing unmanageable. I know no one can predict the weather, but I was wondering if anyone has been there during either of these weeks that can tell me what it was like? I'm not sure if one week really makes that much of a difference? Thank you!
