Ang, how can you possibly blame me for Will getting blood on anything? It is ALWAYS the mothers fault ya know. :rotfl:

How in the world can you remember where everyone lives? I can barely remember where I am. :confused3

WTG Will! Please tell him how proud I am of him. My grandson missed the honor roll. He always makes the honor roll. I do not see him much anymore since he is in every sport known to man (his dad loves sports) and seldom gets home until very late. No time for homework I fear. :sad1: My older grandson, learning disabled, did earn his $20 reward by not getting anything under a C. Who would have ever thought that the one would earn his reward and the other would not? If only the younger one at least seemed sad at not making it.:confused3

You are so wise in insisting on working for what he wants. He will be far better prepared for the real world than many. It is amazing what they do not want when it costs them effort. I always gave my kids a certain amount of money for vacation and it kept down the gimmies greatly.

Thanks for the best wishes on the surgery. I made the mistake of watching a Youtube video of a cataract surgery. Some things are better off being unknown. They are going to have to give me some serious happy medicine. I have enough trouble with the eye drops. Major abdominal surgery is nothing though. I am strange, very strange. :dance3:

Maybe someone could find a good chat client where we could chat together without all the distractions of The View type conversation?

Oh my god Timmy, what the heck are these? I'd be terrified driving one of these things on the highway! :scared1:

I want one. I actually vote for Mickey if I don't know anything about either candidate running in local elections. lol

Linda,
With all of us thinking of you and sending good thoughts that doctor better do a perfect job. lol Let us know how it goes when you feel up to it.

Ang

Hello Linda,
I know you won't be here today but I'm thinking bout you anyway.

Cheryl, tell me all about David Cassidy, I love him!!!

Hey, Everyone!

Is it Wednesday already??:confused3

:tinker: Linda has been in my thoughts all day today too. So hope everythying went smoothly and they gave her lots of "happy medicine". Linda, when you read this, know we've been holding you very near in heart and prayer.

Off to Boston tomorrow evening. :) Lived there for most of my adult life after the convent (I was a nun for little while when young - not a goodie two shoes...God doesn't invite perfect folks to enter convents;) ). Moved 2 yrs when my DD and son-in-law moved to NC - they invited me to tag along so I would not be left alone in Boston. I grew up all over the South & CA so it was an invitation I could not refuse. ::yes::

So excited!! Have not seen my dearest friend (who has never been to Disney!!!!) and having lunch on Satuday with another dear friend. Hope it's not too cold....do not do well in the cold. The nice mild NC winters suits me just fine.:)

Timmy, pease don't tell me you want to drive one of those cars??? I could not even fit in one, I"m sure.:lmao:

Cheryl, how was David Cassidy?

Ang, congrats to your DS on the Honor Roll!:cheer2:

David cassidy was excellent. He did drums and let his drummer/vocalist do a song. He shook hands and tons of autographs and Photos.

Going to finish off with Los Lobos this weekend.

Minnie,
Thanks for the congrats on DS honor roll. Now DS is having girl trouble so he is not listening to what he needs to do for his classes. I fear this semester may not go as well.

Poor kid came home from school yesterday and bent my ear about how a girl who asked him out recently got upset over a note he got from another girl and screamed at him at lunch in front of everyone. He said mom your right girls are nothing but trouble. lol I am soooo glad my teen years are over. Now he gets to sit next to her on the bus to school this morning.

Believe it or not when I was in my late teens I talked to a nun about joining a convent. I grew up in chaos with no rules or boudries so I craved some peace and quiet with rules to live by. If it were not for my desire to raise children I would have joined.

Cheryl,
Sounds like you had a fun night.

Ang

While I never thought of joining a convent, even when I was young and did not know what celibacy was I pretty much knew it was not for me. :lmao: However, I did entertain the idea of being a minister. I might be wrong but it has occurred to me that the religious orders may, or may not, have been better off without any of us. One thing for sure we would have shaken the foundations. For the better too!!:cool1:

My eye surgery seems to have went well enough but the medication knocked me for a loop. I am an easy drunk so it figures. I was not about to tell them to give me less when they were going to be poking around my most prized possessions though. I would rather have my left arm taken off than lose my eyesight. Thanks for all the kind thoughts and prayers.

Cheryl, my daughter used to have a David Cassidy poster on her wall. Not sure if she remembers that now. I have noted that many celebrities become more eager to give out autographs and give better performances when they are not so hot but then they are also not worn to a frazzle by a lot of work either. Sounds like you had a great time.

Ang, sounds as if Will needs some girl lessons from my grandson. He is so cool when it comes to girls that they all just keep chasing him like crazy. He shows no real distress over any that have come and gone in his life. Not caring seems to work. He still loves his truck more. Works for me as I am far too young to be a GREAT grandma. :flower3: Just tell him that if they do not treat him well they are not worth worrying about. Separate the wheat from the chaff. If he is tied down to the wrong one the right one might get away. It takes a special gal for such a special fellow.

M&N, I hope your trip goes well and you have loads of time to spend with your friends. You have a pretty good life ya know? I am glad of it too. :cheer2:

Jan and Wic, you did not tell me which way you were thinking about me or WHAT you were thinking. Probably for the best. :rotfl:

Kristine, as well as they run things at DW, mostly, I do not think your idea a silly one. One thing I most admire is WDW's ability to correct things when they do not work out. Not like our government at all. Here is hoping that our new administration will bring us what we need even if it might be a bit difficult here and there. Getting back on track always is.

I cannot see so very well because of all the eye drops and such so please excuse mistakes and such. I figure next week/eye will be a mite worse. I let them do my bad eye first.

DS's (10yo) girl trouble started last year...he didn't initiate it but a girl decided she liked him so he had to like her...his buddies gave him a lot of grief about it :sad2:
He didn't seem too broken up up about it when she decided she didn't like him anymore ;)
Glad your doing well SG...I know when I had PRK they told me to stay off the computer and not to watch tv for a few days...:happytv:
Minnie&Nana, have a great trip! :goodvibes

I was thinking of you and hoping your surgery went well, which it sounds like it did! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Are you supposed to be focusing this much on a computer right now???? :confused3

I need your help ladies. I'm buying my daughter a pair of Crocs Mammoth for Christmas. For her, the color choice is a no-brainer... cotton candy pink. For me, the choice isn't as easy. If I order mine from the same online store, my color options are basically cotton candy w/ oatmeal color liner like Evie's or chocolate shoe with a chocolate liner.

If I don't get either of these, I'll likely order mine from a different site, maybe getting the beige with oatmeal liner.

Love these for cooler weather climes...not for Texas :sad2:
I would worry that the white liner would show the dirt more :surfweb:

Do the liners come out, so you can wash them???

Yes they do, Wic.
I have the pink ones, up here in Canada my toes were freezing in my Mickey crocs!! I say go with the pink but I buy pink everything!
Cheryl, do you have any pics of David Cassidy? Did you get an autograph? I think I love him.
