Hi ya ladies!

While I am glad the eye stuff is all over I wish I had had it done sooner. For the first time in my entire life I can see long distance. I have always been near sighted and had to take my glasses off to read and such but I drove, yes DROVE, without my glasses yesterday and did not hit nary a thing! I will confess to having to wear sunglasses, non prescription, both to shield my eyes from the light but mostly because it feels odd not to have glasses on. I may have to wear something when working on the computer, or get a bigger monitor, as my mid range vision is not as good.

Some more good news is that the insurance company and my favorite hospital have signed an agreement so it should be all systems go for the heart ablation. I could want nothing more for Christmas than to feel good again. It cost me $2.08 for both my surgeries as I had almost paid in all my 'cap'. I am lucky.

Timmie, think of me while you enjoy the decorations and especially CP. Next year I will join you. I promise.

Jan, one boat away from a night in the Castle? I thought they gave the big prizes out on the sly so as not to incite a riot among the nearby guests? I am sorry YOU did not get it.

Pooh, I am glad you are getting a break from work. I thought of you when I was reading some info on greyhounds up for adoption. Take care and please tell Mike I said 'Hi".

Thank you to your all, Kristin, M2E, Wic, Pooch, Ang, Will, Minnie, etc. (blame the drugs if I forgot to list you) for all your support. You will be gald to know that nearby DISers have checked in and I am having lunch with one in Nashville, IN next week.

Snow is supposed to fly tomorrow but I am hoping not until I get back from town. They have a Crosley music writer that transfers records/tapes etc. to c/d's on sale. I love gadgets. I do, I do!!!

I am so glad everything went well with the eyes! And I'm so happy to hear the good news about the heart surgery. They pulled the people to the side that won the castle and showed them a DVD then took them off to sign some papers. So lucky!! I am assuming it was the castle suite because thats what I saw them do in dif news stories about the suite. I would really like to join you guys next year for Christmas but it's probably not possible. We all have September though right?

hey gang checking in and wanting to give a brief update I had a minor stroke this week but fine and I am still going HOME just have to be very careful and see my neurologist when I get back. The doctor said that they would rather I stay home but couldn't stop me from going. they reviewed my old MRI and this one and showed a bit of a difference so they are calling it a mini stroke so I feel good other than my right side is numb and tingley but I can still feel if that makes sense.

I am going to bed now and then start packing in the am. not sure if I will be on until I will be on until I get back. Have a great weekend and a great week.

I wear reading glasses (lordy, I'm really that old lol) with mid range for the computer. Took a bit of getting used to, but works like a charm now. Could you enlarge the font?

Boston was wonderful! Time seemed to fly by, but we managed to see 3 movies, eat shrimp almost everyday (allergic to every other kind of fish), shopped at our fav malls, have lunch with a wonderful friend (whom I met on another Disney forum 4 yrs ago ) What else did we do....oh! Found time to take my favorite drive to the north shore and come back along the ocean.

Always lived close enough to the ocean to smell that sweet salt water everyday..sigh...for the last 2 1/2 yrs have lived inland. Who would have thought I'd miss the sound of seagulls?

Hey, anyone else get the $500 gift card Disney offer? A dear friend of mine did and without much discussion, we decided to go for Flower & Garden.

This pin code made a 2009 trip possible. After being back at the Polynesian last yr, did not think I could go back to a value again, but POP is just right for this trip. Of course, the math may not work for everyone, but it's great for us - 5 ngts, with 1 day base tkts, after calculating in the gift card it comes to about $51 per ngt!! ..and the gift card will cover all our food.

Check all those old email addresses - this one was in her husband's rarely used one!
