I just talked to a lady and she said... nothing has changed... we are still planning to go to Nassau...

the only thing she said is, they won't go in Jeanne's waters... so but no change as of yet....

It's almost 9PM and I was just on the National Hurricane website. Jeanne has been downgraded to a depression and looks like it is going to stay out of our way. Yay!!!

Don't know if I'll have a chance to check in tomorrow morning before we leave for the airport. Hope everyone has a safe flight or drive. My cell # again (just in case) is 956-571-3484. I will be calling DCL tomorrow morning when we get to Houston & if anything has changed, I will you all a call (those who gave me their #'s) and you can pass the info on. If you all don't hear from me, then nothing's changed & I'LL SEE YOU ON BOARD!!!!!!!!!

My kids can't wait.. We fly out of Phila. Tomorrow at 7am... Just hope there is something to do at PC to keep them busy when we get there so early... I am sure there are things for them to look at and such!!!

Pray that Jeanne goes away.. Even though we might not make the bahama's... I am sure hoping for Cozumel.. No offense to those in Charlston.. Just was hoping to get out of the states!!! I mean that is the reason why we took this cruise to get out of the states...

Another woman told my wife when she called that "She hopes everone doesn't book the cruise just to go to islands".. She is the second one that said this.. Someone from DCL that is! If you ask me, I booked this cruise for 2 reasons.. ONE was to go to ISLANDS and second I booked with DCL because they will have things for the kids to do on the boat.... NO OFFENSE but if I didn't have kids, I would have booked with Celeb, or Royal Carib... Again, I have nothing against DISNEY at all.. Just doesn't make sense when you speak to them they hope you didn't book just to see ports? Then why would the boat leave the dock in the first place? To me its sounds corney?

Again, I am NOT flaming anyone or anything? I feel as though other people would agree... The ports are a huge reason why most go on cruises? I know everyone I talked to that has taken them in the past agree...That they go to not only enjoy the ship but to do things other than staying on the ship?

I hope I don't anger anyone? Just seems when you book the cruise they talk up the excursions and island ports,, But when weather comes about, they change thier tune about where to go and that you shouldn't be looking forward to the ports? I wonder if DCL knows thier agents or customer service is stating these things to cruisers? It kinda bugs me... But maybee I am just bugged way to easily.. Who knows....

Well this time tommorow I will be over Florida and can't wait to see this BOAT!!!!! YAHOOOOOOO

The news stations here in Jacksonville have Jeanne going far east of the northern bahamas and they don't think it will strengthen much in the next couple of days, if at all!! Hopefully things will stay this way. the weather here is beautiful today for the first time in weeks. We are 2 hours north of PC.

Yes Faith! All day today at work I kept getting dizzy spells! LOL
I was able to meet dodle (diane), taeja, eeryorefan, and ericamanda01 (amanda). My DH and I pal'd around with Amanda and her DH alot of the time,as it turned out we were tablemates. On the last evening at Dreams, Amanda and I were talking about what we do on the internet, and we mentioned the DIS. A woman turned around and said, I overheard you mention the DIS, I am msmickman! LOL Of all times to meet, we met on the very last evening! I was the very first one in line y'all! It was so cool. I just paid off our family cruise for November. Yikes....I was going to add my parents, but DCL told my TA that they have reached capacity on the sailing of 11/27/04..hard to believe huh?

Just got home after a long plane ride then a long drive home. But it was all worth it! Had the greatest table mates! Table 7 rocks!!! I can't believe our luck with the weather! I am looking into our next cruise for next year! DH is now addicted! I am getting over a cold that I had prior to the cruise and I can still feel the ship movements! Kinda strange!

I know we had a blast!!! And yes I am still feeling like I am moving? Actually I am quite sick after the flight home.. When we started our decent to Phila, my ears popped like never before.. Ever since then I have been dizzy and BLOWING my nose like there is NO tomorrow??? I was fine when we left Orlando then like the Twilight Zone, I seem to be sick....

But again, My kids had a blast... Faith, sorry I didn't get to take a picture of that precious little grand daughter of your's.... I hope you did take some good ones... If ya don't mind,and of course you have time out of your busy schedule, could you email my wife one if you could... She thought she was the most beautiful thing ever.....

It was also nice chatting with you on the very WINDY morning....

Just wondering who got tagged with the green magnet mickey ears on their stateroom door. After we were tagged, I added a note to write your ID and room # so that we could tell who had been tagged. Who ended up with it? I had to go on the internet and print out a listing of group, since I did not bring a list with me.

We had a blast, and we are looking forward to our next cruise. We are trying to decide between booking early or waiting for a Florida Residence Special next year (risky, but a great bargain).

It was nice meeting some of you, although I am still having a tough time putting the right face with an ID as I browse the board. We would have enjoyed spending more time with you, but it was difficult enough making sure we had our kids at the right times and places with all of the activities and coordinating the main activities with the oceaneers club activities and all the opportunities to eat (I must have gained 10 pounds!).

CC was indeed beautiful. Our cruise was very fortune compare to the few before us and the next 2 behind us with these hurricanes that keep brewing. Jeanne getting out of our way was perfect timing. For us anyway, everything seemed to drop right into place (the booking of the cruise at the last minute, the good weather, all of our onboard reservations, and the kids getting a picture with MM on the last night without having to wait in line). It was truely magical!!!

We took lots of pictures and will try to get them posted to web soon for any of you to enjoy. I will post a link once I do.

Lisa and I are both rocking (it feels more intense than being on the ship).

Hello, All! We just got home a couple of hours ago and I thought I'd check in. I just wanted to say what a pleasure it was to meet & chat with those of you that I ran into. I had the pleasure of meeting Faith (lilpooter), Diane (dodle), mom2sean_n_alex, ericamanda01 (Eric & Amanda) and ladypoo (Patty, Misty & Dominique).

Yes, I got tagged! I believe I was tagged by ladypoo & I passed it on to dzneprincess. I had printed out the list of dis'ers & took it with me.

We had a blast, but DD did NOT like the club. She stayed there a couple of hours the first night & I was paged at about 11:15 (just as I had sat down at Barrel of Laughs for Dueling Pianos with a very tasty Pina Colada!) & when I picked her up all they would say is that she was very upset. Well, she was upset because they had put the mats out & she still wanted to play! Needless to say, we called it a night. She went again the next morning and we were paged within 30 minutes, only to be told again that she had gotten very upset. She didn't want to go again after that. On Castaway Cay we were able to sign her in (since there were no mats involved!) and had just settled into the adult beach when we were paged! All we were told again was that she was very upset. I hope you all had better luck with the club than we did! My DD is not at all shy & is a very outgoing, active 3 yr old who interacts very well with others, but I wasn't too impressed with any of the counselors. It seems like they page you at the first sign of an unhappy child. No one ever told us why she was upset and I don't think they really cared to find out why. The second day when we went to pick her up I witnessed another little boy start crying (not sure why), but the counselor just kept telling him to stop crying or she would call his daddy. Well, the more she said that, the more he cried! Not once did I hear her ask him why he was crying or what was the matter. Again, this was only our experience & I hope I didn't offend anyone. Truth be told, I'm glad she didn't stay at Scuttles Cove on Castaway Cay because we had alot of fun with her on the family beach (even as crowded as it was!).

Anyway, I hope to post a full trip report & pictures sometime next week. I, too, am still trying to find my land legs! Glad to know I'm not the only one. Hope to hear more from everyone!

Faith I appologize I meant for my previous post to be for ladypoo Not lilpooter.... Disregaurd that... Again,, sorry for the confussion? When I spoke with her and then seen your post I just quickly assumed it was her!!

You probably think I am a NUT job asking for pictures of your grandchild that you might not even have... LOL.. Her grandaughter Dominique is such a sweetheart.. My wife and I are thinking about shooting for our third child and having two boys you know what she is wanting!!!!!!! After she seen Dominique she fell in love with her green eyes.... So again,, sorry for the confusion!!!

We went Thursday to the Kennedy Space center... and did that Thurs and Fri....

(Max access w/ Nasa up close tour) and high tailed it home Fri afternoon leaving Nasa to board up their stuff...

Spankey, no grandchildren yet (dd 11 & ds 8) but no worries. It is hard trying to get everyone's screen names and regular names straight.

I had the pleasure of meeting dodle, krystina's mom, greenacres, EEYOREFAN1969. We actually met up with and paled around with Justiceand Jordan'smom's family quite a bit. They were the first ones we met in the Port Terminal. Again, wish we had the chance to meet all of you!

aeryncrichton, a few of us met up at the goofy pool, but it was so crowded at first that it was more towards 5:40ish (I think) when some of us met up.

About the "tag" magnet. It was something I thought of last minute so we tagged JusticeandJordan's mom on the first day. It's really weird how it started with us and actually ended with us. On our last day when we were at CC it was on our door when we got back to our cabin, needless to say it will be going in our cruise scrapbook.

It sounds as if we really got lucky with the weather, last I looked at the board there was going to be some changes in this weekend's sailings. So glad we got to go to CC.

Krystina'sMommy, so sorry your dd didn't like the club. As I mentioned earlier our family hooked up with JusticeandJordan'smom's family so our kids did the clubs together. There was one time though that my ds(8) was crying by the time I got the page and got into the club. He said he was bored and just wanted to hang out with us.

Well gotta run (not really sure if I can yet, believe it or not I am still feeling the motion) but will check in soon.
