ATTENTION MATES!!!!!

For those that are looking for durable lightweight luggage I have found a deal that I am doing .....I have always traveled internationally with wheeled duffles cause you get more in them cause they weight less ....I am replacing my duffles that I have been using since the last TA and they have gone from Barcelona, to the Philippines , the caribbean and through the PC and have been great .... I was searching for new ones for this trip and came across a great deal ... these are only 37.49 and shipping is only 2.95 no matter how many you order .... I took advantage of this offer

Special TransAtlantic Pirates deal

Cool bags! Just wanted to add that if you sign up for http://www.ebates.com, and click on the link for Overstock.com through that, you get 4% cash back as well. I'm sure a lot of you use ebates already; I love getting my ebates refund checks!

We signed up for some excursions yesterday. I wish they had listed times initially. I would love to go kayaking in Tortola, but we are not morning people, and that tour leaves at 7:30. Bummer.

P.S. Add us to the club for those still paying the fuel supplement. I hope that everyone who is stuck with it mentions it specifically on their comment cards. It should that everyone pays or no one pays, not determined by whether or not your cabin category was sold out.

The excursion booking - can I get on at midnight or do I have to wait till 8 AM? I thought it was midnight.

Reservations open at 12 midnight Eastern, so depends where you live!!!

In the UK that means we have to be up and ready to go before 5am! HOw I wish we lived in the Pacific time zone.:rotfl2:

If anyone is interested, if you go out to www.getspicychicken.com you can reserve a free spicy chicken sandwich at your local Chic-Fila. It is limited 1 per person I think.

This is a new menu item they are introducing. The offer is Memorial Day week.

Enjoy!!

Sue

I am getting mine this weekend - we LOVE Chick-fil-A - thank you!:cool1: Oops not this weekend, I am rushing it - June 1st!!

According to Disney we are third quater and it will be determined in June. Fingers crossed. A dollar saved is a dollar toward the drink of the day.:thumbsup2

has anyone been able to have the fuel supplement charge removed or credited back to their account? When I called the rep. was very adamant that I am stuck with it. (She did say I could re-book, but cabins are no longer available in my cat.) Just wondering.

This is a touchy subject all around. Some people were able to get it removed the first day or two after they stopped adding it to reservations but many of us are still stuck with it. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will go below and thus we'll all get it back.

Otherwise, I will not be a happy camper with this extra charge. I understand that everyone has to pay the taxes and the port fees, etc. However, I don't see legally and morally how they can charge some people and not charge everyone for the same "extra" fee.
I guess we'll see.

I called DCL a few weeks ago and was told the fuel price will be determined on June 17. Those of us who have paid it will receive an onboard credit if the surcharge is eliminated. I'm okay with that because after two weeks on the ship and 14 different drinks-of-the-day, I'll be happy to have the credit. :drinking1:

It is def. supposed to be midnight. Doris (our TA---who is your TA, too, Sandi :lmao:) already emailed me and confirmed our booking dates for both cruises and that we could do it at 12:01 am.

Thanks Erik! I thought it was, didn't know, through all the talking, that 5AM was another time zone and not Pacific - sorry - mixed up on my part!:)

Oh wow!! Thanks for this info. We LOVE musclease and planned to buy a bottle onboard since we only have 2 half bottles left (one in the RV and one in the house). I looked online once and the cost was not less ordering so we just buy it onboard. It is the best stuff for aches and pains and lasts forever since it only takes a few drops.

If you have issues with any specific area you can just tell them and they will avoid touching that area and you can still enjoy the rest of the body massage. Back, arms, feet, legs.....aaaahhhhhh!!

Trouble is I get even more tense just incase lol! Did try one once and the woman pretty much gave up after 10 mins as I was so stressed from it all it wasn't worth it! Even sometimes Dan touches my neck and I jump. Weird!

Change of topic (love the spa treatment lesson idea though) has anyone been able to have the fuel supplement charge removed or credited back to their account? When I called the rep. was very adamant that I am stuck with it. (She did say I could re-book, but cabins are no longer available in my cat.) Just wondering.

I got DCL to reshop and they removed the FSC but I had a slight increase in price (it went from $999 per person to $1059 I think it was but still less than with FSC)

I think they still do this, but certain spa treatments are discounted if you go the day it is in port. I plan on doing mine in Gibralter. Every little bit helps!

GISMO1554 - glad to see your back and thanks for explaining the FE name - I do remember your parents from '07! Hopefully by September I will know everyone on the list!

It sounds like everyone had fun booking their stuff - I have never been able to book Palo online, so I am hoping this time I can get something - even though it is just me for dinner - that will be a first!!!:rotfl::rotfl:

I think its Midnight. I'll tell you now we're all bad with names better with faces but I recognised the user name and Mum did. I've been keeping her updated on who off the 07 cruises is on this one!

Is anyone else experiencing S-L-O-W page loading today???? :confused3

Yes, it has been bad for a week or so, but today is much worse. Go to the technical board at the bottom of the forum and join in with the thread about it there. It is really annoying me!!!

See I'm fine with a onboard credit. It's if the surcharge is not eliminated and we are charged for it while others are not where I'll have a problem. Everyone pays a fee for the cruise which I know can increase as time goes on (and decrease after PIF) and everyone pays the taxes and port fees but how can they charge an "extra" fee to some and not to all?? I'm just hoping that it's below the $70 and this becomes a non-issue. It won't ruin the cruise for me but it would make me a lot happier to have the extra $$'s.

I hope that the fuel charge is removed...it would be nice to have tha extra on board credit!

Got all my ressies.....yeah!

If there is a single female on the cruise who would like to join me for tea, I have a table for 2 (and there is just one of me) on Sept. 21 at 3. Feel free to PM or e-mail me.

Barcelona - Euro
Gibraltar - Euro or GBP but I would go with GBP as they tend to be priced on everything unless of course you aren't going near the UK pre trip in which case stick to Euro as then its just 1 currency you need
Madiera - Euro
St Maarten - Dollars
Tortula - Dollars

Disney World - Disney Dollars

Yeah super slow for the last few days...

Hey Kermit Rocks i'm guessing by your screen name you're a big Muppet Fan! ME TOO.. In Fact i've got my MR Kermit (and gonzo) poser watching me now as i type, (this will no doubt mean nothing to most DISers but i'm guessing you know what i mean)

Took me forever to get caught up today!! We can't book excursions until June 20 so will have to see what is left!!

I had a nice time visiting with family members but was unable to meet up with a former DIS member who had been on a previous cruise.

Weather was rainy on Tuesday and chilly on Wednesday. Oh well, still chilly here in SF Bay area which is strange for late May.

Just my thoughts....
:surfweb:

I spent 10 minutes crafting a wonderful multi quote post and got the white screen of death "the board will be down for a 2 hr upgrade" agh!

Quick re-cap:

Fuel Surcharge, if you didn't pay it on the day of booking DCL won't add it on later, unlike several of the other cruise lines.

Spa villas,

Thank Angie for checking, from your information it looks like they have the solos open in the morning and late afternoon, and the couples open mid-day, perhaps as more people book they will open slots for either option. I would have thought that a sunset treatment would have been more romantic for couples

Sarah,

Huge Hug!

TheDisneyGirl02,

A week ago, I thought that an OBC conversion from the FS was a sucker's bet, not so much today though, lol. Current trading price 2:45pm is $69.75. Sure wish today was our date. It is going to be a crazy ride over the next 3.5 weeks.
