Woohoo to those who booked Palo etc this morning!!!

Not long for us, though I so hate getting up and ready for the 5am booking time over here!!!:headache:

Ok we are now . . . . . . . :

PIF!!!!!!!!! :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Krisann

Yay!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1: Congratulations!!!

WAHOO!!

Becca is registered for the kids clubs!!
Palo is booked!!
Spa is booked!!

I can now go to bed. Excursions will have to wait until tomorrow... In other words - we still haven't decided about some of them... UUGH!

Yay, Don't you have to register Stephen? If the clubs fill up does that mean I can't register my girls, or is there no limit?
I hope you got what you wanted at Palo and the Spa, I'm so excited for you! :woohoo:

Ok, Question group...what quarter is our cruise considered?

Third quarter 2010? If yes the date for the Fuel Surcharge to OBC conversion would be June 17th. And we have to be under $70 a barrel of Light Sweet Crude ( or WTI) on that date at close of market.

If we are 4th quarter the date would be September 17th, which doesn't make sense for a September 18th cruise, right?

Right now it is flirting with $70 a barrel, fingers crossed that it sits steady and even wants to drop a little more.

Pj
So....I didn't pay it when I booked, will I get charged it if it is applicable?

Congratulations to everyone who has booked ..... can't wait until it's our turn

:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Last day of three 12 hour shifts today and I am shattered .... looking forward to a weekend off, and thinking about the fact that in 17 weeks we will be waking up in Barcelona :yay::yay:

Sounds like you deserve a rest! Dream of the Magic!

UKANGEL - I promise not to make olives a FE gift!!!

:rotfl2::rotfl2::thumbsup2

Glad you got them sorted!:)

We (Dennis, PJ and myself) are booked for tea on the 23rd, Palo dinner at 6pm on the 29th. Dennis and I are also booked for View and Parks at Maderia - 9 am. We will do an island tour on Tortolla also, but not booked because we have not decided yet. The other ports will be on our own. I'm happy. :goodvibes:)

Lovely!:woohoo:

I booked Unforgettable West Madeira and Alone Time in a Spa Villa on the 24th (4:30 pm) so i will be missing dinner that night or eating up at Topsider which would be interesting. For all days the mid day slots were gone, I wonder if those are held back for either other booking windows or for the Concierge phone call/onboard booking. I will check back later in the week to see if any of those mid day slots open.

Like the sound of the spa booking....Mark and I did the couples spa villa last time and loved it!:cloud9:

Such a beautiful day here today, even had breakfast in the garden:cool1:

Have to now drag myself up to get the housework done as we have guests coming tomorrow!:rolleyes1

Have a great day all!:flower3:

I highly recommend the green Spanish olives stuffed with (don't gasp) anchovies. I hate seafood as a rule but love these olives!

DW and I were in Madrid one time having cocktails at the Melia Castilla. She asked the waiter about the olives so he brought her a whole can (restaurant sized!) to take home! :lmao:
Thanks, but no thanks, I will take your word for it;)
Well, we finally hit the PIF status. Now it's on to packing up the house, dogs, puppies and other sundry things so we can move to the new digs. We won't be out of here until late June but there's so much to do!

Well, I guess Marc thought there wasn't enough to do as he booked a RCCl cruise out of LA down the MX Riviera in December. We're gonna hit the Mariner of the Seas and find out what RCCL is all about. It's been a few years since we've done another cruise line other than Disney, but, having worked for one of the "other lines" in the past, I'm intrigued to see what's gonna happen.

To those making their bookings tonight, take deep breaths and enjoy!

Michael
Actually, Micheal, CAn you ever have too many vacations:rolleyes1I think not.

Lol, Last time I got to book stuff I was working, I was busy on the comp and beeeeeeeeps kept calling me, How I stopped myself from answering the phone "WHAT":dance3:

:cool1::cool1:

Congrats to those that have made their bookings.

We still have to wait till June 20th :sad2:

Hi all

Finally trying to catch up on here. Funeral yesterday was hard as expected and exams were awful but hey there's always resits next year.

I also finally paid in full today - cutting it fine I know but I've kept forgetting all week.

We get to book excursions from the 6th June I think so not long to wait. Anyway going to go back over posts now so will have a few posts off me catching up.

Glad you managed to get through the funeral and your exams. So hard for you.

Now, I have my reservation booking date for 5th June. I don't want to get up for 5am for 2 mornings running:scared1:, so better find out before then.

ok for anyone who wants to see them I finally have all my navigators and other info sheets scanned and posted in a facebook album.

http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2061536&id=1139906413&l=1bdcf464f3

Now when I put them in I dated/numbered everything but now on Facebook they are not that way! If anyone would like me to send them the file with everything just let me know! There are 77 images!

Krisann

Thanks Krisann

Okay, why has it been so difficult to find a place in Barcelona that will have 2 adults and 2 children ..LOL I know most of you are coming in like the 15th or later but I am trying to find something for one night on the 7th so we can catch the ship for the last med cruise ... Has anybody booked for a fam of 4 and where ?? What kind of price ?? Thanks for any help you can give ...I know some have suggested other hotels but some come up a bit expensive ...

Also how many are staying at WDW post cruise ?? We booked Animal Kingdom for a night through DVC ...

Most Europe hotels don't hold 3 as you've found. As for post cruise we're staying at Pop Century for 6 nights.

Thanks to those who have asked to be my friend on facebook! I am really feeling weird and out of the loop on this cruise as the last two long cruises I have been on the board since day 1 of booking and I feel like I am coming into this so late in the game and out of the loop - there are a few I already know and that is really nice! I hope to continue to get into the loop of things in this short of time.

Do we have a facebook page for the Cruise?

Thanks for letting me ramble :)

Krisann

Krisann incase you haven't found it here's the addy

http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=70039214008&ref=ts

Well, I asked you all nicely to not chat too much as I was away for a couple of day, and I come home to 10 pages, YES 10 PAGES!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Try 61 pages lol!

Don't the UK residents have free dining at the moment? Can't you book through them?

Only for moderate and above not for value resorts hence we wanted Pop so had to go down the book through Dreams Unlimited option.

I had a surprise today ... we have been putting together some new bedroom furniture and this has resulted in me having to have a good sort out of my clothing .... during which I discovered a lovely semi-formal dress from Per Una which I bought in last years sale. I had completely forgotten about it. So thats one less thing to have to buy ..... :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Great find!

By the way, I have to tell you what I did yesterday. I went to the beach, Gulf side and the water was 83 (why isn't it like that at Castaway) anyway, I was swimming, floating, lounging and I saw this huge thing underway coming at me. First I thought, shadow of some kind, second, seaweed and third school of fish. Then i noticed it was quite huge. :scared1:I didn't panic but wasn't breathing and it lifted its head from the water and it was a manatee! I was so excited. I love animals, mammals, etc. so the start of my Mother's Day was fabulous as I swam next to a manatee!!!! Had to share:lovestruc

That's amazing! How wonderful!

I would suspect once you are checked in on the ship you will not be allowed to get off. If you are going to get olives or anything else, I would suggest you either pick them up yourself or have someone who is arriving earlier pick them up for you. However, if someone knows differently, I would hope they would post that info.

Just my thoughts...
:surfweb:

I don't know how they are going to do it. In 07 we didn't have all ashore the first day due to not selling til the second. Lifeboat drill on this cruise is why were All aboard at 4pm but whether after that we can get on and off I don't know?

By the way, once I get my cabin number I will post it because I am a magazine aholic and will bring tons - weight and all, I do not care. I would rather read mags then have enough clothes. When I get done with the mag, I will put in my fish extender if anyone wants. I get everything from Sports Illustrated, Entertainment Weekly, food mags and anything with house decorating, family fun, etc. Being an addict is an understatement.:lmao:

Want me to put this in the Mini-Navigator?

Ahoy mates , Since it is Mothers Day I felt it appropriate to finally come here to the board and tell my story of the last year and why my disappearance for most of it ...First let me say , that without my Mothers help and caring , along with friends and family I may not have made it through this year .

Last June I was hit with my marriage of 15 years was ending , it was a shock and too be honest I wont go into the particulars , but at 41 I was devastated. Of course Mom to the rescue and I couldnt thank her enough , she was there every minute and day, she put her troubles and aliments on the shelf to tend to her son, she gave me hope when I had none and gave me strength when I was weak. She steered me to God and to prayer and eventually everyday became just a bit brighter. It still baffles me to this day that after my 42 years of life my Mom is one of the wisest people I know, she to me is God sent in every meaning of the word and I love her dearly ..

Now almost a year later , Thanks to God , my Mother , My Family and dear Friends, life is grand .. I met a beautiful women who I claim is heaven sent because in my eyes she is .. Her name is Helen and she should be joining Me and my son Destin on this cruise along with her son Sean . On April 27th 2010 after 7 months of dating we made a covenant to each other and God . This cruise will be our delayed Honeymoon as we have lots of particulars we are trying to take care of .... So there you have it ... This Mothers Day mean's soooooooo much to me cause without mine , I may not have weathered the storm... So to my Mom .. I love you endlessly Happy Mothers Day ...

And to all of you , thank you for at least reading ...and now let me share with you pictures of one of the Happiest days of my life ...

Congratulations to you all! I'm glad that things worked out and that you are happy no!
but I wanted to share just 2 of my 4 legged babe pics from dornach a few weeks ago
orly.jpg

ruby.jpg

OK Orly is like so so cute! As for Ruby Im going to come kidnap her for cwtches!

on the walking club - on the EBTA there was a Disney sponsored (led) walking group each morning on sea days - needless to say it was at 9 am - and we are not morning people so we missed it :)

10 am would be a great time if you wanted to do a not too early time - the afternoons are so filled with activities!

Krisann

Im happy to add this into the mini navigator. Assuming this will be a deck 4 thing?

My excursion reservation date is 5 June, so I need to make up my mind soon!

Oh yes June 5th! Need to remember that

We're stuck with June 20th as just silvers. Other than Palo dinner and brunch, there is nothing we are dying to get signed up for. I'm not sure we are doing very many DCL excursions because overpriced x 5 people is way expensive, and most of the cool things would exclude our 3 year old. We may sign up for something in the Spa. We did the Rasoul Mud thing last time and it was fun but so steamy that it was a bit much. I kept feeling faint (low blood pressure) - I'm sure that was romantic for DH!.

What are other people interested in signing up for on June 5/20/July 5?

I think we're booking Palo for Brunch & Dinner, Rasul Mud and Gibraltar Rock Tour

Hi I'm Goofy Granny and Hoagie Pie's MIL. :) I have a lot to read but I wanted to say hi! Looking forward to meeting you all in September.

I would like to sign up for FE's but didn't put that on my roll call. Sorry!

Hiya!

Okay, so I thought I would show pictures of who my Hoagie Pie actually is:

P1010191-1.jpg

I hope this is bigger! She is one of the greatest joys in my life!!! I never had a dog and when we got her, took me a while to get adjusted, but now I cannot imagine life without her. I am sure many of you feel that way because I have seen your pet pictures, which are so adorable. Oh well, still small, but I am getting the hang of it!

Ah she's beautiful!

So cute, Now I have to post a picture of my baby! She a little bigger now, She is 1 and a half now. Her name is Holly, She's a spoodle (cocker spaniel cross poodle). She's a water baby, always jumping off our pontoon chasing the ducks!
BalletConcert2008301.jpg

Ah! Such a cutie

Hi everyone.
Just a general post as I wanted to say bye for a couple of weeks, as I am off on the Med cruise. :dance3:
We have decided to get an earlier flight, so as to make sure we get there, with this stupid ash cloud. :headache:.
We havent been to Barcelona before, so lm sure we can amuse ourselves for 3 days :lmao:.
Will post back when I return.
Have a good few weeks, I am sure with all the daily posts it will take ages to catch up. :)

Hope you are having a fab time!

OK - do I need to start worrying about the ash cloud affecting our flights? I just over heard a co worker say that they are just bumping people off of flights because they are not putting as many flights in the air, and that they are re routing flights, so 3-5 hour delays... I want my 2 days in Spain, so I hope that we will not be affected.

Anyone have any thoughts on this one? We have had our tickets forever, I would hate to get bumped. I am sure Walt and Di would agree as they are in the row right behind us. Best bet says they don't want to get bumped either, and no one likes kids asking are we there yet if there is a long delay... :rotfl2:

I am saying a prayer to the God of all things volcanic so the eruptions stop while we are all doing the DISney thing! That way we can all get to the boat, cruise, visit the Mouse, and get home without incident... :worship:

I think we're just hoping itll be fine by then!

Lauren and I are very sorry for your loss. Tomorrow will be two years since my niece, Delaney, passed away unexpectedly. She was 8. So we understand your grief. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Daniel & Lauren

It is never too late, but the Gators and Trojans might be in the same boat this year - suffering! That is okay, we can scream or cry together!

Sarah - so sorry to hear about your grandmother. If you are crying, it just means your memories are wonderful! That is the way it should be!

UKANGEL, I will pray for your darling daughter. Keep us posted.

Erik - you crack me up!!!! I always smile when I read your posts. We are so different, but consider you a dear friend!!:flower3:

:hug::hug::hug::hug:for you. Sorry to her your sad news.

Thank you all for your kind words! Daniel and Lauren I hope you managed to get through the anniversary and remember the good times!

For sure will keep her in our prayers. You as well. This is a terrible disease that affects all in the family. Know you are all loved. :grouphug:!!

Sarah, I am so sorry to hear about your grandmother. My grandmother passed away suddenly when I was 18 and I was a wreck. Go ahead and cry it's natural. I'm sending you a bunch of hugs.:hug::hug::hug:

So sorry to hear about your Grandmother.
Good luck with the exams.

Oh Sarah, so sorry to hear yor news. Sending :hug::hug::hug: and thinking of you and your family at this sad and difficult time. :

Sorry for your loss - prayers are with you - and for the crying - if someone asks you what they can do for you and you do not know - tell them you want a copy of the book "Tear Soup" (Amazon has it) it is a childrens type book with pictures but the message is so strong - I reread it often - even after 7 years since my mother passed suddlenly, and I can find comfort in knowing the tears will come now and later and differently for everyone. Huggs.

Prayers coming your way . . .

Krisann

Hi All

To Mandy and Sarah, best wishes to both of you. I hope the magic of Disney and the thoughts of your DIS Friends help you both at this difficult time.

SW

We're so sorry to hear about your Grandmother. Give yourself time to remember and grieve. Our love and thought are with you, :grouphug:

Sarah and Mandy

My thoughts will be with you in the coming days.

I am so sorry to hear about your grandmother. Please except our condolences.

:grouphug: Thinking of both of you and your families and keeping you in my prayers.

Sarah,,,,:hug::hug::grouphug::grouphug:

Sending you both and your families thought, prayers and well wishes.

Jon

Sarah, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Good luck in your exams.

Thank you all for your kind words. It means a lot!

Big thank you to everyone for all the good wishes. We have Becky home with us again for the summer while she recovers. Her exams have been delayed til September so I'm hoping she manages to regain her strength by then. x
:littleangel:

I'm glad that Becky is home! I hope that she is gaining her strength. Give her my best. She just needs to take one day at a time!

Thank you!:)

So sorry for your loss. Let the tears flow. I know what you are going through as my grandmother passed away unexpectantly on my birthday this past January. I was numb as I helped my mother plan the funeral, but the day before the funeral I went to the funeral home for the viewing early and just stood over her and cried my eyes out. Did me a world of good.

Sarah sorry to hear about your Grandma sending you

Mandy glad your daughter is home :flower3: hope she makes good progress over the summer.

Sarah & Elizabeth

Thank you both!

I know somebody might think this is a dumb idea, but I know on the TA before a few people did it and it was a great thing. Everybody's luggage is getting heavier and heavier by the day, so I was thinking I could make a list of anybody that is going to bring tylenol, aspirin, pepto, etc. and then we can post it or pass it out somehow so if we are not feeling well, we can see who has that medicine with them and go to their cabin. I know the last cruise I took tylenol, tylenol PM, nyquil, pepto, aspirin, and sore throat medicine and alcohol swabs just in case something happened during sea days or any time really. Sooooo, if anyone is interested, I could make the list and make it happen. I take Tylenol PM every night because of the prescription I take, so I would be happy to have that for anyone that asks. I don't think this is "drug dealing" but on the last cruise some people did that and I thought it was a brillant idea. Helps with all the little bottles and junk and having to buy tylenol onboard for $12.00. Send me a PM or post if you are interested!:grouphug:

I like this idea. Can add it into the Navigator

I'm so sorry. My condolences to you and your family. :grouphug:

Thanks!

They ALWAYS eat seem to be eating the pill !! must be sugar coated or something, really doesnt do them any hard worth worrying about.

Cattle class:rotfl:, weve only ever been in cattle class:laughing:
But flying is flying, I am as I mentioned pretty old fashioned and could slap the folk that talk over the captain speaking, I mean, have some respect.
I seriously want to hear anything the guy has to say, I also put there name to memory just to see if we ever get him again. mad I know.

LOL I love cattle class!

....well cancellation, actually. I heard back from KellyJeanDVC today and she has had to cancel the cruise, unfortunately, so I removed her from the lanyard list. She said she will be coming on the boards to let folks know herself sometime soon and wish us all well...but in case anyone else is waiting on her for tshirts or fish extenders or any other group activities, I thought I'd let you know.
This leaves it out there now that I only need hear from:

Dis-Bits (Who is entirely MIA and hasn't posted in a long time, or ever, and hasn't replied to multiple PMs. I think I got their information off the roll-call website. Are we sure they're not a figment of su_kraft's husband's imagination, too? :lmao: I was only able to send PMs, no email, cuz I don't have an email address since they registered for lanyards using the website and not email or PM I think. Do we have an email address for them anywhere from the roll-call site?)
figment795 and tigger795 (Who are traveling together but neither has responded to PM's or my emails from a couple days ago)
KAP158 (Also not responding to PMs or emails.)
LadyPoo (Also not responding to PMs or emails.)

On a list that started with well over 250 people to be down to only 4 traveling parties still on the MIA list, that isn't bad at all!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Well done on all the detective work. Sad about Kelly

On the WBPC cruise we had people who just signed up for the FE right in the early days of the thread, then never made another post, or replied to any PM's or emails to see if they were still going. They were removed from the list, and then when they WERE onboard and didn't get any gifts in their FE's they were very cross and kept leaving comments on peoples dry wipe boards or in their FE"S!!!!!:confused3

I kind of feel that's a little rude of people mind. FE's are voluntary and people have enough time to sign up they can pop on once a month or so and say hi to let everyone know they are still going.

Ok...just to clarify.....you mean that the spa villas are already all booked up for the days at sea?! Wow! Jason and I always do one of the couples villa on a Sea Day and we have NEVER had a problem getting a reservation in one!! We don't get to make ressies for this cruise until June 5th like many others....but if we go online that night to book and they're all taken I'm gonna be really disappointed. We were really planning on doing our spa day on THIS cruise, because with the Adventures by Disney package on our Med cruise we figured we'll have tons to do and so the TA cruise would be more relaxing-----but the Med Cruise is a lot less crowded apparently and so maybe we shoudl try to get our spa day for that trip instead (we can make that booking next week on the 26th).

Hmmmm......can anyone who is able to book online look and see if the are couples spa villas still available for the sea days?

Hi, transatlantic cruisers! :hippie:Chuck, Patrick and I are interested in trying to bring the Magic home to Port Canaveral! :yay::yay: But I don't know what to expect as far as the airline tickets and flights.

  • We would be flying out of Orlando to Barcelona.
  • What is everyone else doing?
  • Anybody using Disney transportation and airfare?
  • What airlines and routes are you using?
If you have specifics, just pm me. Thanks, Connie

Hi Connie not sure if you remember me (well actually more my parents probably) from the TA in 07 (John and Gail from Wales). Also think they ran into you at the beach club at one point as well and came to a BBQ at yours while over in Orlando. Hope you manage to organise this one!

That would be hard work for you. Would it be possible to have a group leader perhaps for you to inform of changes, then that leader inform their group? Perhaps each group leader could have a dry wipe board and could put the changes on there and the group call by and note them?

Hi Connie. Glad to see Chuck managed to twist your arm a little more. Can't help with the airfares I'm afraid. Not sure if there are any direct flight from Orlando to Barcelona which would of course be the best as far as Patrick goes. Virgin and BA both go to London Gatwick. You could book through to Barcelona with BA, but would have to take a bus from Gatwick to Heathrow which would be an extra nuisance. At least with an American airline you would probably be doing the change in the US and not a foreign country.

There are some BA flights to BArcelona from Gatwick as well. They tend to be the lunch ones.

Hello!
Just catching up a little again
Have been off sick all week with acute oesophatitis/gastritis......Ice Cream with Gaviscon sauce anyone?...so now am feeling better and find I have time to do some reading :surfweb:. No way can I keep up with this thread you chatty lot!

We are not quite paid in full yet...will have to over the weekend though. Keep hoping for a better exchange rate, and wished we had paid a few weeks ago instead of waiting ...that will teach me to listen to DH  (altho to be fair he is normally spot on with these things!)

Couple of observations. Apols if already asked or discussed..(but have you seen how many pages/threads there is to search  I have just caught up with the EBTA trip reports and seen the link to video of the fantastic fireworks to welcome the Magic back to Barcelona again this year. Any idea if they do anything similar as a send off when she leaves??

And its seems that although there were 2 formals and 3 semis in the navigator, peops didnt seem to bother much, only dressing up once or so? I LOVE dressing up! Please tell me I'm not going to be the only one in frocks and heels most nights!

Am still a little anxious about how many children will be on board. Correction. How many UNRULY children will be on board. As someone rightly points out, if there are 400 children on board, and only 30 are badly behaved, its that 30 you notice, not the 370 well behaved ones!! I read very mixed reports. So will keep an open mind.

Those of you who have done WBTA before, were there any extra gifts like the EB people got?
Any special party nights apart from the Pirate night?

The days are going fast really. It seeems a long way off until September in some ways..but then..how on earth did we get to May so fast lol!

Lyn

Lyn - In 07 the WBTA didn't get fireworks the EBTA did.

As for children - some were unruley at night but very few

Yes you get the extra gifts - probably the same ones just dated differently. We also had a dessert party night and Party Paradiso night.

The good news is I have been accepted to nursing school:banana::banana::banana::banana: I have been taking prerequisite classes for the past year toward this goal.

Now the bad news, school starts July 12, so I will officially be cancelling this cruise later this morning:sad1:

I know you will all have a wonderful time on the cruise, and I'll be thinking about all of you come September!

Sorry you can't join us! Good luck with school though!

Our son, Michael, is VERY jealous that we are going to try to do this TA because HE has to finish law school! Poor baby!

Good luck to you in nursing, I have the most respect for nurses!

I was going to ask was Michael coming this time too?

I just want you guys to know I had to cancel this cruise. I know I've been MIA for awhile, but I needed a little time to pout about it.

I'm all better now though :)

My Mom is opening a new restaurant and asked me to help her get it going. There is a big festival going on for both of the weekends we'd be gone and so the timing kind of stinks. I've transferred my deposit to another cruise in Jan, and I will be turning my Oct. stay in WDW into a two week trip - so all is not lost. I was just really looking forward to meeting you all on this TA trip!

I've let Erik know about the lanyards, but I'm also signed up for the candy swap and the fish extenders. So please take me off those lists.

Have an amazing cruise everyone! I can't wait to hear all about it!!!!

Well I'm sure that you will be having a great time anyway and well all miss you!

Well congrats Philly fans....an Islander fan here....we play a great game of golf these days!

OK fellow Transatlantic cruisers.....never did anything longer than a 7 night cruise.....so maybe some of the experts can help me. First, we are flying on DCL air....any idea when we will be assigned flights....we are flying from JFK to Barcelona and then MCO to JFK.....secondly we are category 11 GTY....any idea when and if they assign staterooms on the longer cruises any earlier than the 7 night ones?

Thanks....hopefully some of you experts out there have some advice.

Tom:cool1:

Last time room assignments started just after the paid in full date but I don't know about this time. Hopefully people will start getting them soon!

I just read that It's a Small World will be closed while we are at WDW. :headache: That is just WRONG!!

Dan has never been happier to hear this as I dragged him on there in 08 saying it was a fantastic fun ride and he came off ready to kill me lol!

Hi all, as some of you know, I (and my colleagues) have been fundraising for Canteen and Child Cancer Foundation. Thanks to those here who donated to our cause :lovestruc

We raised nearly $5000 over the last 8 or so weeks and last night we had our heads shaved.

I opted of a #4 on the clippers as I didn't want to look like a skinhead for our trip not to mention, I burn very easily and even though its nearly winter here now, the UV index is still very high (we have the highest rate of skin cancer in the world (even more so than Australia).

So without further ado, here is my new style - its taking some getting used to I have to say and it feels like a plush toy :rotfl:

Also while I was updating pictures, I also updated the Candy Swap page - still room to join if anyone is interested. I'd be happy to create group 6 ;)

Congrats Paula! Such a worthy cause!

Yay, Don't you have to register Stephen? If the clubs fill up does that mean I can't register my girls, or is there no limit?

I don't think you have any concerns about the kids clubs filling up on this sailing given that there are probably a lot less kids on it than many other cruises. Plus, if they let you book a stateroom with kids in it, then there is space in the kids programming for your children!

They may not request preregistration of all children. You'll be fine!

We went from GTY status to an actual stateroom today!!!!!

Congrats!

DCL Horn fans here too,
My phone rings the DCL Horn
We found a recordable door bell for our house. It now rings the DCL horn too.
Hoping we can find a DCL horn for our car!

LOL I have this ring too and get told off by Dan for using it as an alarm but it makes me smile!

My daughter and I were having a conversation tonight at dinner and she wanted me to ask all of you from Great Britain - when you go to Epcot, do you eat in Great Britain or do you avoid it because that is where you live? I said you probably go and she said you probably avoid it. We are just trying to have a fun little debate between the two of us. THANKS!

I have eaten there as used to work there. I still always have to have some chips from there! The food is nice but not overly british. Used to have a nice ploughmans salad but they got rid of that. The Chips rule!

Hi! Welcome onboards

:rotfl2::rotfl2: OK, coach it is...wonder how much it would cost to book one for all of us.......and all those pick up points!

Hey I'm up for this! How much do you think it would cost? Can you pick us up from South Wales on the way?

Hope your week goes well Sarah. Lots of:hug: coming your way.

That exchange rate is terrible isn't it?

Over here, unless you had travel insurance before the volcano erupted then you aren't covered! We were hoping the insurance companies were going to come up with something but it doesn't look like it is going to happen. We have annual policy which needs renewing in June, so that is a pain.

Thanks. And thanks for doing all this work.:thumbsup2

Thanks! We don't have our insurance yet either! Hoping in the next few months they get some other option in place.

Let's keep everything crossed! :scared:

The list is growing! Not sure I want to travel 27 hours really....but we'd all be in good company :rotfl2:

:thumbsup2

Thinking of you Sarah, hope Thursday isn't too awful for you. We're also holding on hoping the exchange rate will pick up :rolleyes1

Best of luck for your exams too :thumbsup2

Thanks again!

Sarah, I'm sending you some hugs to help you get through your nana's funeral.:hug::hug::hug: I'll be thinking about you and your family.

Thanks it was a horrible day but at least now we can start moving on from it all.

Hugs and prayers for you and your family this week!!:hug::hug::hug::hug::hug:

Were all bearing up at the moment so thanks.

Thanks Sarah, I may just need it! I hope not, but better to be prepared!

Hi Sarah, Glad your still with us, Looks like you got a mental and emotional draining week ahead of you, We'll be thinking of you. :grouphug:

Thanks! It was a hard week but its behind me now I guess.

Both my sister and I have noticed very fine ash on our cars but not for a week or so now....

Also not paid yet, but will be sorting out this week:cool1:

Looked at the trains....BUT they're so expensive! Still reckon we should book a coach.....:rotfl2:

I like the idea of booking a coach. Might not be too expensive either.

Well, I've had a very fruitless day today.....

Was supposed to be taking Becky to see her GP at 11 am (a 200 mile round trip) ....got onto the motorway to find it was shut at the junction for Bristol.

So....4 hours later we're back home not having reached Bristol or the GP.....luckily we managed to get the doctor's secretary on the phone and she's arranging a letter to be faxed to the University so Becky can take her exams after the summer....so that's something!

At least we're home again anyway..........:rolleyes1

Hope everyone else has a better day:littleangel:

Typical M4!

Wow that was a lot of pages!

I'm finally PIF! well Disney Visa:rolleyes1

So who's getting the coach for UK to Barcelona? sign us up, we'll be trying to leave London on the 15th on BA.

I still need to figure out what to do for the FE's. Boy, am I behind...

Oh good point. We can't leave until the 17th due to leave

OK - so let me start with a

HEY - DizzneyDAnn PLEASE empty some PM's so I can get FE information from you!!!

So, here is my delima...

I have tried like heck to keep groups at 15 cabins max. I have been able to honor all the requests - *I* think. And now we are coming to closing date and I am unable to reach a few people.

Harvey aside I am unable to confirm DizzneyDAnn and her party. If I have the details right they have at letst 2 cabins. From the rollcall, there are 2 adults and 6 kids - some teens.

If she has dropped, then I am at a group of 15. If she has not then I would be at a group of 17 cabins - and a week or so to go until cut off date.

I know there is time, and I am just being anal - but the next 2 weeks are looking hellacious at work and I would like to ahve as much of this wrapped up as possible.

Does anyone have any thoughts about this? For the following people are you ok with a larger group?

Hoagie Pie, ReAnSt / Nacho1337, Goofy Granny, Disney Sweetie, CruzDirectorKaren, , Rufustee, , KrisannB, 1DisneyQueen, Granmaz, Terapin, gailadams_uk, DizzneyDAnn, Bob_and_Dawn, CarsFans, UKAngel

I see 3 outcomes. First a larger group of 15 cabins at a minimum unless we lose people from the above list. Second, 2 much smaller groups (dividing out the 17 cabins into a 9 and an 8). And third (not a favorite at all) is to drop DizzneyDAnn as I can't get her to respond to posts here onthe board and her PM box is full.

I really don't like number 3 as I have to see anyone get left out. however, we are getting down to the last moments and people are begging to see the groupings...

So everyone listed above is a Pommegranate. I leave the decisions of what to do to you guys, but I do need to know one way or another pretty soon as we are 10 days til the deadline.

Thanks!

Sue

Sue I'm answering for Gailadams_uk (my Mum & Dad) as with everything going on and previously being a full time carer for Nan Mum doesn't get on here very often. She's happy with either option as has gifts for about 50-100 people I think lol.

For anybody that is waiting on the 2010 Passporter book release, I just read this post on the PP forums from Dave Marx.

I'm thinking the earliest that it maybe shipped out is July! Granted, we don't set sail until September but I thought we'd have the book by now. Oh well...

Im giving up on the book! They've cut out the baltics and some med so not even bothering now. Very disappointed in them infact!

I feel really bad because on the FE list, I don't know about half the people!!:scared1:

Gailadams_uk is my Mum and Dad (Gail and John). As said with everything over the last few years Mum doesn't get on here much (and Dad avoids the computer lol) but I keep her informed every day of whats going on.

Sue, I really appreciate this, but I find it a little odd, that the Med dinners will be when we are in the Caribbean and the Caribbean dinners are when we are in the Med. Any chance the concierge didn't know as much as us!! ha ha!! It doesn't match up with "Little Birdie" either. I just thought I would bring it up to see if anyone else found it odd. Maybe I am odd:dance3:

I'm thinking flip those 2 over!

OK UK crew, since I'll be in London for 5 days prior to going to Barcelona, how much cash (pounds) should I bring for touring around and eating at local pubs? I probably won't be going anywhere fancy, but I know London is expensive.
I know a lot can be purchased with credit cards, but I'll have enough on that to pay on our on board account.

Thanks in advance:thumbsup2

Definately expensive pubs! About £4-5 for a pint. £6 for a glass of wine. Definately need some money if you want drinks. Food ranges in the £10 per meal really. If you go for dinner around 5-6 you can get great "pre-theatre" specials!

Just seen the list of what meals, are when, does anyone know what night the midnight buffet will be?

Missed it last time as was still to full from dinner:)

Thanks Sarah

If you mean the dessert buffet it will be on one of the sea days. Otherwise Pirate night do a deck buffett!

I just spoke with Castaway Club and she gave me different info....

Formal nights:

Night # 2 (19th) and night # 7 (24th)
Night # 8 -(25th) themed night (but she had no info on what that meant. I'm thinking maybe Villians)
Pirates - St Marteen night which is night # 11
Semi formal night #13 - this would likely be Captain's Gala and lobster night.

Now we have confusion, but it makes more sense to have Pirates when we are in the Caribbean. It also is more like Disney to have the first formal night on a sea day (day 2) vs Gibralter day.

I'm with you on the 25th being Villians night. I think 19th & 24th may be right.

Just popping in to say PIF (I lurk trying to keep up - just no time to post). Been dragging my feet on my last $135 as it was $498 but the prices came down a bit a while ago and I got a price adjustment. I was hoping for another before the PIF date, but atlas I have joined the PIF club.

BTW - upgraded from a Cat 10 to a Cat 6 on the 10-day prior for a $1200+ refund! So excited to have my first balcony.

Congrats!

Yay!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1: Congratulations!!!

Yay, Don't you have to register Stephen? If the clubs fill up does that mean I can't register my girls, or is there no limit?
I hope you got what you wanted at Palo and the Spa, I'm so excited for you! :woohoo:

Stephen is 13 and will do Ocean Quest - no registration. You will be able to register the girls, I am not sure there is a limit or not, but have never heard of anyone being turned away!!

We did Palo for dinner (8:30) on the 21st, brunch (10:30) on the 23rd and Tea on the 25th.

I booked a massage, but don't like the time (4:30) and will try and change that today with the Concierge team.

Is the 25th for tea ok with everyone? If so, I will try and get it for 12 of us.

Oh Becca pulled the first ring off the chain today! She is soooo excited!!
