OK, about us...
How did Glenn and I meet? Well, Glenn stole my job quite a few years ago, and somehow I managed to fall for him anyway...

And we have pretty much worked together in one sort or another ever since, including where we are now - well for the next week anyway - and then he is leaving to take on a great opportunity elsewhere. (I too will be missing my lunch buddy!)
We will be celebrating our 18th anniversary on the 19th. Celebrating with us (other than you all) will be our son Stephen who will be 13, and our daughter Rebecca who will be 6. Stephen is the typical 12 year old boy. He plays baseball and wrestles and he loves history. Becca is a little princess. She is a budding gymnast, will do cheer

in the fall and loves to sing and dance. She can be painfully shy at times so I challenge you all to get her out of her shell so she can enjoy the club (and mom and dad can enjoy their anniversary!). Glenn is the techy guy

- but you already knew that! I love to bake and cook.

Sign me up for repeats of the galley tour! I am hoping that Pascal will be on board as we met and chatted quite a bit this past cruise. I am hoping that he will be able to do deeper dive into the galley tour. I find that stuff facinating!
What else? We live north west of the city of Atlanta in Canton, GA. We built a house in what was the boonies, and have been there about 5 years. We have a creek in our back yard that is visited by our 4 legged neighbors - a family of cows.
Funny story about our last cruise (September 2009)... We totally surprised the kids. We told them we were going to see the grandparents in The Villages. When we arrived, we told them we were going to see the shuttle launch. They were OK with that - but were not excited about the drive to get there... So, after breakfast with the grandparents, we piled back in the car and off we were. We pulled into the port, almost threw documents at the person at the fence - and managed to whisper it was a surprise. She waved us through. I was pulling up to the porter area when the kids both looked up. Stephen says "Mom, you have some 'splaining to do". Becca was thrilled, but stephen managed to be grumpy for the rest of the day. It wasn't until he got to put his tux on that he admitted it was a great surprise. We had quite a few pixie dustoings as the cruise went on, but that info will have to wait for another question of the week/day... Oh, this year is not a surprise - I couldn't keep the excitement in this time!
So, that is us...

much more than you asked for...
