aaaahhhhh - realisation dawns! The list is people who are NOT on the website! I now understand (and hope I am not giving everyone the impression that I am a sandwich short of a picnic - which this may suggest!)

LOL don't worry I was just as dull. Rather than checking the spreadsheet I did by using the "Find" option I went through the website again lol!

Wow! Good for you. I love the photo by Walt Disney Theater.

Sandwich short of a panic.....haven't heard that one here in the Northwest. :rotfl2:

LOL I love that saying!

:scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:
I am away to ikea, wish me luck, I SHALL return.
DO I have to go????

LOL youll never get out of there! I'm always in there for hours!

Wow, that's great! :thumbsup2 Are you following any particular plan?

Krista

Yes, I am. My wife and I are doing it together. Now, the name is kind of silly, along with the website, but its working and that's what matters.

Its called Fat Loss for Idiots. The best way to explain it is that its like an Atkins/South Beach diet. I have 4 meals a day and I don't really get hungry. There are some meats, like chicken and fish, and alot of fruits and vegetables.

I'm on the diet for 11 days, then I am off for three. On those three days, I can eat what ever I want. Its a diet where I'm not denied the food I really, really love. I just have to earn it.

Also, one of my keys is that I only weigh myself once during the two weeks, except for when I started. I weighed myself, then started the diet. After 11 days, I weighed-in. I'm off the diet for 3 days, then I start up again. After the 11 days, I weigh-in. I used to weigh myself every other day and got really discouraged, so this has helped ALOT!!

Well, you are certainly getting results!! Good for you! Has your wife been as successful as you've been?

Hello everyone! My it's been a loooooong time since I've been on the DIS!! DH and I are still planning on this trip. We've been experiencing some cruise blues this past week - this time last year we were on the EBPC Repo with very dear friends and find ourselves saying each day "this time last year we were..."

Life has been busy here - DS is starting HS in a few weeks. He is in band so his summer has been spent going to marching practice and sectionals - he starts band camp next week.

I will try and check in here more often - hope everyone is having a great summer!

Hey there, it's the Turners... We're only 4 weeks away (+ or -) from having our second child...a boy, and from there just another year away from the cruise. I can't wait (for both). Hope everyone is doing well, looks like ya'll have been busy the last few days with all the posting.

What a great picture, your daughter is very cute indeed, just like my dn till she hit 12,lol.

SHe usually cruises/holidays with us this is the first time since she was a baby she is staying home with her mum, I will really miss her.

IKEA........ 1 hour traffic jam on m8, then florida rain, then got lost, asking for directions in glasgow I always feel is a challange as they talk too fast even for me. 5 hours later......................
ANyhow then Len woke me up at 6am banging and making a racket building the darn stuff. I suppose I shouldnt complain:lovestruc

OK I have to ask how much did it cost for the plan? I've looked on the website and it doesn't say. Sounds like it might be worth giving it a look.

Alex, so glad things are still going well. We expect pictures of the new baby once born lol. The first WBTA baby. I think we have another one on the way somewhere don't we? Sure we had 2 baby announcements since we started these threads.

LOL oh dear! It's the typical - "how can we not find such a large shop" syndrome. We drove past the Cardiff IKEA 3 times before I noticed it last time we went over there.

Well done for Len for getting up so early to get it sorted!

It has been a long time since I was on these boards, I last posted in May. In June we took the girls (my DGDs) on the 7 day eastern to Tortula. We had a really good time. After comming back I have had a rather hard time getting back in to the swing of things.

Michelle and I have had some second thoughts about the cruise. I really hate flying and am not at all looking foward to the long transatlantic flight. For Michelle's part she is not sure that there will be enough to keep her interested on those 5 days at sea. She took 3 books on the 7 day and read all of them. I am hoping that someone will be able to give us an idea of how the days at sea will be filled. As for the flight I will just have to suck it up and endure.

I have not had the time to go back and read all the posts that I missed in the past 4 months but I plan on trying get cought up in the next few weeks. It is now just short of 13 months until we sail and I am begenning to get a little excited. Soon I will have to start making some payments if I want to pay it off ontime.

Hope to be back with you soon Magie

Well, the last four months are on this thread so that's only 50 pages or so... it's actually been a quiet summer but I expect things will start picking up in a couple of weeks especially when we pass the 1 year mark!!

I cant wait to do nothing and read my book, but I am sure there will be lots and lots fo things to do.
At least the flight will be out of the way, we are used to flying I think, I really dont mind the long flight, It is the longest I sit down on my bum since the last long flight! It will be fine, just need a good book.

Take care Maggie:cutie:

I am also looking forward to 5 days of complete relaxation and the sheer pleasure of being able to do exactly what I want when I want - no pressure. As all of my holidays in the past 8 years have been Disney they have been busy busy busy and even on my last cruise we didn't relax much - so the 5 sea days will be wonderful - I plan to read, maybe do some journalling, take photos, get rainforest passes for a couple of days, and enjoy what activities DCL has to offer, but basically just completely chill out. :cloud9:

Hi Magie

The last TA has I think the same number of days. They had a lot of quizes and they had an extra lunch time deck party/BBQ. They also had more cooking demonstrations etc. They did a special "mystery at sea" which was fantastic. They also did a lot of various dance classes on the WBTA and on the EB they did Spanish classes.

I will admit I spent a lot of time by the pool reading as Harry Potter had just come out lol so I'm not the best person to ask. It was basically similar activities to the normal Magic day at sea days but they added more activities in each day to keep people busy.

Just put on the telly and there's a Wish You Were Here Now & Then on which is like a travel channel programme. Ironically its on Madeira! :happytv: just saw the tomogan thing down the mountain! Not sure I fancy that!

HI Sarah - we saw that programme just now too - I don't think I will bother with the tobogganing thingy although it looks good fun - it's the cable car up that mountain that would put me off - I think we will just chill out and have a wander round the town in Madeira - scenery looks lovely though.
