My favorite character: Tigger

Before I show a picture of my pets, let me first introduce my DW and DD first! Meet Jessica (DW) and Rosalynn (DD)...

Rosalynn is beautiful! Shes so adorable! Love the kitties too lol

Thanks!...hey, looks like I'm going to be in your area in a couple of weeks. Heading to Cwmbryn (actually staying in Cardiff) for work. Just a quick trip for a one day meeting, so won't have much time to really enjoy the area outside of working.

Oh good luck! Youll have to keep us informed! You can be the first 2010 TA baby boomers

TA Baby Boomers! :lmao: That would be great! :thumbsup2

I will keep you guys informed... You all have the very lucky distinction of going through the whole 9-10 months with me if it happens soon (of course, anything happens after Sept 2009 and we will have to cancel the cruise)! Aren't you feeling special? ;)

What we need to do is do some sort of map with everyone on so we can see where people are from. I'm going to have a nose and see if I can find anything around that we can use (as not very artistic with things like this).

I did a google map for the WB PC repo last year, then added it to the website I made in iWeb for the group, people were able to add to the map and leave comments attached to their pins, can I post a link let's see......

http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=U...99.84375&spn=30.359831,56.25&z=4&source=embed

These were the instructions for adding one's self to the map, "To add yourself, head to the site (click on larger map link above), click on EDIT. Find your location, then add your location by using the blue pointer, next to the hand. Set your pointer, at an approximate location, no exact locations. Title it your DIS name. Click on the Save button, then the Done button. The map can be moved so everyone around the world can be included. To see your addition, refresh the page."

I used a "html widget" and inserted it to my iWeb site for the WBPC, there must be a way to add it to the website we have now, Brooklyn can this be used in your site?

This is what it looked like on the site;

Ps. some of the WBPC cruisers zoomed way in and put their marker on the exact location of their home, please don't do that, lol.

That is really neat, I hope that can be a part of our website!

For the last 18 months I think now Disney have been doing a promotion where basically they have people going around the parks giving out free stuff. These are anything from fast passes, to a nights stay in the castle to the 2007 Disney TA cruise (we were on a table with a family who had won!). It's quite cool but in the time its been on we've been to Disney 3 times and got nothing! I do feel duped lol

Hey Sarah--we never got so much as a fast pass either! We figure it's all good if we're at Disney anyway (and Erik and Jason got YOAMD ears and didn't want them and giften the kids so they DID end up getting some of that magic:thumbsup2 )

Rosalynn is beautiful! Shes so adorable! Love the kitties too lol

Hmmm-I meant to quote Alex's original post:rotfl: Anyway, nice to meet you Alex, Jessica and Rosalynn. You are a beautiful family:thumbsup2

This is so cool:cool1: I do hope we can do this on the website. I want to put my pin in (in New Hampshire or Germany or somewhere!) and see all the other pins.

Oh Kimberly--that was fast. Way to go:cool1: I tried to add myself (in New Hampshire--can I change it later?) but when I right click I do not get the add a placemark option. I am never any good at this stuff:sad2:

Brilliant idea, PJ!

Here ya go everyone! Our very own DIS Map!! Mark your spot now!

(I'm hopeful this can be linked into our website by Stephanie.)

Can we get directions on how to place your mark for a Mac , cause right click doesnt bring up "add a placemark" I know it must be something easy , but I am missing it ...

Also the map has Gibraltar marked wrong , and there is no marker for Castaway Cay

PJ , since it was your Idea andyou did it for your last cruise and I know your on a MAC how do you add the placemark ????

I don't either

Kimberly, There should be a choice to make the map collaborative. This will allows us to add to the map (it's been a long time since I did the last one.)

AHHHH..... you have to sign in to google, it is free to get an account, then save the map to your maps and it will let you collaborate and edit, which allows you to add a pin. I think, testing my theory.......

Nope, Kim has to allow collaboration, then we can add on.

Thanks for the reminder!! Give it a try now!

Todd, you probably looked while I was in the process of adding all the locations, which was after I posted the link. You also probably didn't see the terminal nor WDW when you looked.

There are maybe 5 characters left in the "Description Field", so adding the MAC instructions we'll have to likely remove the "warm-fuzzy", which is fine.

Awesome Kim, It still took me two tries to add myself, lol. Old brian, moves slow, lol.
