Terry - congratulations to the entire family!

Since we have only been on the Magic, we only have had Captain Thord so our streak will remain unbroken!!

Your streak will be broken on the WBTA. Captain Thord is now or will shortly be in charge of the Wonder, Captain John is in charge of the Magic, Captain Henry of the Dream and Captain Tom will oversee the building of the Fantasy.

We had Captain Tom twice, Captain Henry twice and Captain Thord twice.

Interesting. I hadn't heard Captain Thord was moving to the the Wonder but I have been off the boards a lot these last few months. Thanks for letting me know!

Hi Everybody - glad to hear Corrina had a great voyage!

We had friends get off the Dream friends/family/media cruise and the video and pictures were awesome! Our friends from Canada just got on the Inaugural and had the Walt Suite - I cannot wait to hear about that.

I have never had Captain John, but I had all the rest and they are wonderful - but my fave is Thord after September!

Terry - sooo excited for you with a new granddaughter! Keep us posted on how your daughter is doing. Had a great dinner with Steffy. We really missed you.

Canceling the MV on the Fantasy made me laugh. I wouldn't want to stay in the same bed either with my best friend. I am a bed hog!

We are meeting Ann and Albert for dinner on Sunday night at Saratoga Springs after they get off the Dream. We are so excited. It is nice to catch up with all our friends from September. We don't have another cruise booked right now. Job still slow, but positive.

She was wearing a Disney Dream "Inaugural" jacket. Apparently, there was a celebrity Inaugural Cruise/Christening Cruise/Media Preview Cruise before the Maiden Voyage.

Looks like they're selling "Inaugural season" merchandise this year.

Since we have only been on the Magic, we only have had Captain Thord so our streak will remain unbroken!!

Sailing only on the Magic doesn't restrict your captain choices. We've had both Captain Tom and Captain Thord on the Magic, so Captain Thord isn't the only one who drives her. And Captain John was driving her when she got stuck overnight in Castaway Cay last February.

In the past, Captain Henry and Captain John would alternate on the Wonder and Captain Tom and Captain Thord on the Magic, with Captain Henry being the Master of the Wonder and Captain Tom having the same position on the Magic. Once Captain Tom left for Germany, Captain John moved across to the Magic and became the Master there, but was still alternating with Captain Thord. From what I heard, Captain John will remain the Master of the Magic in 2011, Captain Thord will have that position on the Wonder and Captain Henry on the Dream. Captain Tom will return to Germany after the Maiden Voyage of the Dream to oversee the building of the Fantasy. What happens in 2012 is anybody's guess. I know there was some speculation fairly early on that Captain Tom would be in charge of the Dream for the first year (which has not turned out to be the case), but would return to the Magic after that. So there is a possibility that they will have a similar set up as this time round in so far that Captain Tom oversees the building of the Fantasy, brings her over to Port Canaveral, does the preview cruises and the Maiden Voyage and then hands her over to either Captain John or Captain Thord and then returns to the Magic with whoever does not get the Fantasy being in charge of the Wonder.

Can anyone give advise.....
Len bought me a snow globe for my birthday on the ship..
I unwrapped it on friday and tinks head was knocked of, I had it in hand luggage and had been so careful, I overreacted and got upset, man Ive had an interesting week.... anyway, it wasnt expensive but really, it should have been in a box not just bubble wrap, would they mail me another, should I glue her head back on what do you think, maybe next year I can buy another, it was only 25 bucks but well, it was my birthday.

You know I told you the snow damaged my porch roof, guy was out last week, well theve stopped making that kind of roof, only 5 years old, I have to get a whole new roof, so I went looking for my house insurance policy, couldnt find it, turns out as far as I can see they have stopped taking the direct debit a year or two ago and I didnt notice, well its only once a year, so weve no buildings insurance what an idiot I am , so I dont know whther to be pissed about the roof or grateful the house never went on fire.

Oh Lynne, sounds a bad week for sure. Can't help on the snow globe I'm afraid but I will say I would have been upset and overreacted too as it is a special gift. I'm not sure Disney would replace it to be honest and no doubt any insurance policy wouldn't cover the damage, or if it did it would be under the excess. Perhaps glue it together, love it, and try again next year. Sorry. they really should have them well wrapped in boxes though, even for normal carrying home, let alone international flights etc!

Glad you found out about the house insurance before the damage was even worse but I hope the new roof isn't too costly.

We might be popping in to see Ann and Albert(and you of course, though you probably won't remember us right now) this evening. Unless we forget as we are relaxing so well the time is passing too quickly!

We too had a great Panama Canal cruise. Seems an age ago, though we have only been off the ship just 9 days! We spent 4 nights at VGC and had a fantastic time doing the parks and meeting old friends, including Chasity and Gus from this cruise and a whole gang from our 2008 cruise. Just a wonderful weekend. Then we drove to San Diego for 3 nights and totally fell in love with the place, though we only managed to scratch the surface there. Flew back over to Orlando on Friday and enjoying our villa/pool home. Weather is wonderful. As I said earlier we are so relaxed we are horizontal!!!!:lmao: After cruising the TA with Lynne and Len, and then the PC, I am missing seeing them and Lynne's parents around the place.:sad2:

Will take a couple of trips to the parks, but will spend most of our 19 nights here chilling. Perhaps we will get out and about to a few other places, we will see.

Hi everyone

sorry I have not got back to some of you that PM'd me i will do so in the next month. Things have been crazy last few months, moving house, work demanding more time that it should be. Also had some nightmare times at work that a contractor should not have to put up with and had to done some things that trouble me. But in those times i flash back to the atrium on the last night seeing our favourate disney characters singing "M..I...C...K...E...Y" makes me smile- the power of disney!

I posted up another trip day and will get around to doing more in the next week.

I am doing good, been a difficult few months with contracts and things like that but everything is pretty much sorted til July.

I should be good to travel around I am looking how far i can go I can definately do North America going to use grayhound and trains. You can get some really good 2 month long tickets. Yes I will head to LA so disneyland is on my list of places to head to.

I am planning on heading then to south america which with the cash i have by July should be able to be there for about six months just travelling around.

I am now thinking do i take another short contract or just go in July, if i wait on a few months and just get anything i can i can maybe head to somewhere like New Zealand, Australia, Japan or Fiji or even Hawaii.

So thats my next decision do not need to worry too much about that till about May.

After my approximate year of travels I have saved enough cash not to have to worry about work for a year which is great come back and have some time to look for what I want to do. I think turning 40 (in april) is going to be good.

I hope you are all well and Walt and Di thank you for the XMAS card I hope all my table and desperate shipmates friends are doing well.

I am sorry to read about your snow globe. I don't think it would do any harm to let them know, but I hate to think what state a replacement would be in by the time it arrived in the UK.

That is a pain with the insurance, but at least you are now aware that there is a problem.

hi Jason ,nice to hear from you...

First - an apology... I have been such a slacker of late... Well, not really, but until today I have been sworn to secrecy... Our company just made its third acquisition of the year - and we are hoping for 4 (yes, really) more. So, while I have not been on the boards much, it is because of work and the kids activities.

Sarah - I still owe you scans. I think I need to rescan as the drive they were on is caput. I had cruise pics there as well, so my scrapbook is on hold for a bit...

Calling all of you that are in or will be in Orlando April 4 - 8... We will be going to the Happiest Place in the World then!!! We are staying at the Boardwalk for 5 nights and have reservations for dinner each night. The only night I don't really want to miss is the 7th, but outside of that we would love to see anyone that is going to be in the area. Glenn has even said that he will saber some champagne to show off what Shaun taught on the WBTA... Let us know - facebook or email is best as this is hit or miss for now.

Sadly, while we won't be there physically, can we at least visit in spirit? :) Maybe like a Flat Amy&Dave! :lmao:

Amy I am open to bring Flat Amy and Dave, as long as there is a Flat Mel as well... Kimberly - does Ivana have a cousin? Ivana Cedamouse maybe? All are welcome - if you send me one I will not disappoint! Actually - Please PLEASE email me one - I would love to do this!!!! What a riot!!! Thanks for the suggestion!!

Would LOVE to have a reunion dinner - any day is good for me but the Saturday, which I think is the 8th! Let me know Sue!!!

OK - here is our schedule...

Leaving home Sunday the 3rd - staying over night in Ladylake to see Glenn's mom and dad. EARLY departure on the 4th - want to be at WDW by 8 so we can drop luggage, get park tickets, etc and then it is off to Hollywood Studios. We have dinner reserved - but can cancel! The 5th we are at Magic Kingdom - again, dinner ressies, but can cancel. We also plan on 2 days there - so we can still do evening activities on the 2nd night. The 6th we are at Animal Kingdom. Dinner planned at Rainforest at the park - we can skip this as well - and there are no plans for that evening. the 7th we are back at MK - doing Crystal Palace. This is the night we don't want to miss... The 8th we are Epcot and are doing dinner in Japan. We are probably going to hit DTD on Saturday and will head out after lunch so that we can be back in Atlanta Saturday night.

LOL - can you tell I plan everything!?! Good grief!!

So, pick a night, pick a place (I have no clue what all is around, but we have a GPS...)

I can't decide on the MV, and they'll probably sell out before I figure things out. Are you also working with Tracy W still?

Cathleen we are using Tracy! She booked our WDW trip! We have decided to not do the MV of the fantasy. We hemmed and hawed, but in the end we decided that we would rather celebrate our 20th anniversary on the Fantasy versus the kids birthdays... So we are (not-so patiently waiting for the September dates to be released. Hopefully at the end of this month or early March.

OK - I have to get the little princess to bed... Stay warm and healthy everyone!
