Good morning everyone!!!
As for the cat situation, I am going to make up some FOUND CAT posters, but if I cannot find the owners I am reconciled that we may have a cat. For those of you who own cats, is it okay for the cat to stay outside all of the time? This cat has been living that way and is right now - she has shown no desire to come into the house thus far.

Congrats on your new cat :rotfl: He should be fine outside. We had cats and a doggy door so they spent most of their time outside during nice months but we would see they spent a lot of time inside on cold winter nights. As long as he has access to food, water and shade. If you truly are going to adopt the cat it would be nice if you got him fixed and took him to the vet for some vaccines. Nice thing about cats are that they're pretty self sufficient.

Good morning everyone!!!

We are headed to the beach this morning (before it gets too hot!) Our dog LOVES to swim & it has been far too long since he felt the sand between his paws so off we go.

My dog is just not good w/ cats and I can't bring the cat inside, so it has to be an outdoor animal. We live in FL so although it does get hot, it does not get very cold ever - obviously in extreme weather conditions like a hurricane or freeze, I would bring the cat into the garage or something.

------------

I had a question to the organizers: Is someone making an info sheet for our group w/ dates of the events & people's names and staterooms listed? We had one for the EBTA and it was very helpful. Just wanted to see if someone was doing that for this cruise........

Like last Xmas....freezing it was :scared1:

Agreed. We know lots of people who have barn cats - they live in the barns and help with the rodent population (field mice). Though we also have coyotes too who sometimes get the cats. Yes, please make sure it has claws to defend itself and can climb a tree if needed, and the other responsible thing to do is have it checked out to make sure it has had its rabies vaccines up to date and it is spayed or neutered. Otherwise, your one cat can become many cats.

GOOD Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Does anyone recall when the character breakfasts occurred on previous crossings? Are they usually held during the clump of five sea days? Or sprinkled at the very beginning (like Sept 11, 13)? I do believe I read it is based on early/late dinner seating times. Oh - and how easy to change if we are scheduled during one of our DIS events? (or is it even an option to change? maybe if the ship is not at capacity?)

Typically, it is the day AFTER you have the show dinner in Animator's Palette. So, if your first AP Dinner is on a 'special' night like Formal night, or Pirate night, it will NOT be the next day. But, if you have AP the first night and have the AP show, then your CB likely will be the next morning.

Finished another 25 FE gifts yesterday, just need to get snack bags to put them in. I think I have sufficient for every fe, now, but i'm not going to join any more groups, just deliver them. Now, how am I going to fill the next three weeks? paper crafting just sooths me!

Off to the farmers market this morning. sure hope it doesn't rain before I get back:laughing:

Happy Day, all!

Our cat we had in England refused to come into the house after the birth of our DD, and lived happily outside for many years with us putting out food and water for her, and taking her to the vet for her regular check ups.

We are flying from Leeds Bradford on the 8th too, so we should see you there!! We are just about a 25 minute drive from the airport which is a change for us as normally it is off to Manchester or even London for our US flights. You too I guess!!

Yes, same for us. Look forward to bumping into you in the departure lounge - our photo is on Facebook as Sue Powell (with the Guinness) after a recent holiday to Dublin where we tried 'the real thing' :)

I can't find you. I have looked at loads, but with the small pictures you can't see if anyone is drinking Guinness. You could try me, Marilyn Mitchell. Perhaps there aren't as many of me!! The photo is a fairly close up of me and John, he is on my left and has his arm round my shoulder. You could friend me if you see me!!

It's so frustrating!!!!!! :headache: Hopefully they will get back to us soon. I hope they don't schedule one of your tastings on the same day as the Champagne girls......I can see that happening! :sad2:

Claire don't say things like that :(- It's really frustrating though, especially when they said 30 days out.
They were very very late last year too with the arrangements. I think it is the ship that is the problem, not DCL headquarters(or whatever). Then they went and changed one event last minute messing things up.
I never knew that Marilyn - I hope that it's sooner rather than later of this year.

It was annoying to those involved as you can imagine. I can't remember what they ended up doing as I wasn't involved.

What is the character breakfast? I mean, I assume a lot of the characters come around to your table at breakfast, but do you have to sign up for it, or does it just happen when you show up for breakfast? And is it any dining room - not sure if you have assigned dining rooms for breakfast or just one since many people probably go to the buffet.

Ours was on the second Sunday last year, and was in amongst the sea days. Sorry I don't know if there is an option to change.

It is just that :) The characters are around as you have your breakfast and it was great fun last time. You don't sign up for it and your date is noted on the ticket that is in your room with your dinner rotation upon boarding. Ours was in Parrot Cay last time, but I really don't know if this is always the case or not. No you don't have assigned dining rooms for breakfast, you just please yourself depending upon what is open :)

I don't mind putting together a list of birthday and anniversary list so we know who is having a special day while on board. Let me know Cindy. I will then have people send me a PM or message on Facebook with disname room number and what you are celebrating. I can hand them out at the 3p meet up.

Thanks! One more thing to look forward to!

Me too, all crafting is so relaxing. :) I finished my FE gifts a while ago so this past week I started on my scrapbook from the Dream Maiden Voyage in January.....I think i've now got 6 scrapbooks on the go. :lmao:

Lol, it's bound to happen!!!! If it does we'll have to see how many are people are signed up to whatever tastings clash and maybe do some switching around as you have two groups for each tasting. Let's see what happens. :)

Last year, EBTA, we put in a request for space to play BUNCO. Got word from Dorothy, stateside, that she had contacted the ship, but she was never able to confirm anything for us. Even on board, I got the push-off and eventually were given a date near the end of 2 weeks. And then someone else was assigned to use the same space. We realized we should have just picked an empty time/space from the next day's Navigator.

I think this might be what we need to do, Claire. Have agreed-upon dates for 1st, 2nd, 3rd choice. Look at the Navigator to find when your venue is unused and then notify everyone with a postcard that gets stuck in the fish. And post it on your door. We will be responsible for keeping an eye out for the news. (Unless, of course, you get that miracle of advanced planning from DCL).

I finally made my FE with the help of a few crafty people! Its crush from Finding Nemo! He's kinda big, but I like him :-)

Hi Josh, you made a great FE.
Here is mine, not so big and great. It went a little bit brown from the ironing, but it is done. I have a giftbag to hang with it, because it looks big but it is small. (the bags are 10x10 cm)
I am nearly finished with my FE gifts. Just sorted out and decided how and when I give them.

What a great idea! I should try to put my name somewhere on Crush... Didn't even think of that. I finished my FE gifts too... very simple but I hope they're useful!

Putting your room number on FE's are good too if you have one that is! Also take a couple of cable ties to attach it to the fish to help it not get taken. Apparently they do though I have not personally heard of anyone.

Well that one hasn't come up yet and I have looked at loads. Goodness, how did you find it?
