We are celebrating my DS 14th on the 12th sep (gibralta) I have booked an excursion in Maderia for just myself and him. He chose the canyoning excursion and liked the idea that it is age 14 and up! Good job im pretty adventurous!

I hate leaving the ship at the end too (who doesnt?) The banners saying see you real soon get me most. But like I always tell my kids " we cant come back until we have left"

You can tell Sarah there are LOTS of Disney princesses on the ship. We only saw Ariel in the show, but I know Belle was very present last year (she also did story time in the kids club) and Aurora, Snow White, Tiana & Cinderella all made appearances for greetings.

There was a Princess Gathering on the Prince & Princess Menu Night too, so look out for that.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes with my sister! It's been a long road for them, I realy hope we get good news!! I am at her house now by st louis until the 30th for the procedure....it will be nice to spend two and a half weeks with her, shes 11 years older thane so the last time I spent this much time with her I was 7!!

Mary, you are such a special sister. I can see it now......all the girl talk and giggles. What a wonderful time the two of are going to have. I have an older sister too, and even though they think they can tell you what to do , you would not trade your time together for all the tea in China. We celebrated our 30th last yr on the EB (early), when it was just the two of us. This time around, besides his bd, we're just celebrating the joy of Disney.

Would love to meet you in december, let's keep in touch. For now it's dec 1st-17th.

Been kinda nuts trying to reschedule it with DVC availability being low (esp. for longer stays) and changing per minute and then finding out I couldn't fly back on certain dates etc. At least I've got a flight booked now and got a place to sleep. Time will tell where some of it is. I know it'll be CBR until the 6th. The 6th-17th will be SSR but time will tell how. I'm waitlisted for the night of the 8th as there is no avail. as of now through DVC. So as a back up I booked that night on cash. Thankfully I got pixiedusted with a PIN that works for both the CBRressie and SSR-night. That brings it down a nice bit but the total bill for just 17 nights is still more than the total for this cruise+2 weeks OKW that were scheduled. Shame, but at least I get to go!

Reading this thread is so weird. It's fun, it's excitement and at the same time it's a constant "yippie, plan such and such came through, how much fun it'll be to do that..... oh dang, right, I'm not going". I guess it says it all that I'm still in unconcious countdown mode for the cruise instead of december. When Cindy posted her roomchange first thing in my mind was "hey, that's my room, how come?" Duhuh, I cancelled it, it's only a good thing she got it if that suits her better. Enjoy it, Cindy!


As far as all the FE-gift talk goes; I've got a question. What is a girl to do with over 100+ unisex watches in all kinds of colours? And I don't even wear a watch myself.

Hi Jacqueline, glad to see you back on the Boards. Agree with Linda, save the watches for the next TA cruise.

Celebrating on board, birthday on 5th September, deferring until I celebrate with Mickey on the cruise, also my folks 60th wedding anniversary.

Mum having problems with her eyesight and I have to take her to the specialist tomorrow morning, but she is adament that any work that needs to be done will have to wait until she gets back, nothing is going to spoil this holiday for her.

Think I have my packing list together and hope to do a dry run next week, as we leave here on the 1st September. Have decided to cut down (50%) from last year, took far too much and didn't use it all.

Hope the rest of you are having fun sorting out your clothes.

Well I'm driving back to Essex tomorrow, back at work for four days, then coming back up for the funeral. My petrol bill is going to be horrific flying isn't an option either as the flights are ridiculously expensive

They were very very late last year too with the arrangements. I think it is the ship that is the problem, not DCL headquarters(or whatever). Then they went and changed one event last minute messing things up.

I bet they are having fun with all the things going on that need booking on the chartered cruise before ours don't you? I wonder how the crew will be after that? I suppose it depends on the clientele onboard. It will be interesting to see them getting off the ship and see who they actually are. Seems like a big secret doesn't it?

Does anyone recall when the character breakfasts occurred on previous crossings? Are they usually held during the clump of five sea days? Or sprinkled at the very beginning (like Sept 11, 13)? I do believe I read it is based on early/late dinner seating times. Oh - and how easy to change if we are scheduled during one of our DIS events? (or is it even an option to change? maybe if the ship is not at capacity?)

Good morning everyone!!!

We are headed to the beach this morning (before it gets too hot!) Our dog LOVES to swim & it has been far too long since he felt the sand between his paws so off we go.

As for the cat situation, I am going to make up some FOUND CAT posters, but if I cannot find the owners I am reconciled that we may have a cat. For those of you who own cats, is it okay for the cat to stay outside all of the time? This cat has been living that way and is right now - she has shown no desire to come into the house thus far.

My dog is just not good w/ cats and I can't bring the cat inside, so it has to be an outdoor animal. We live in FL so although it does get hot, it does not get very cold ever - obviously in extreme weather conditions like a hurricane or freeze, I would bring the cat into the garage or something.

I had a question to the organizers: Is someone making an info sheet for our group w/ dates of the events & people's names and staterooms listed? We had one for the EBTA and it was very helpful. Just wanted to see if someone was doing that for this cruise........

The cat should be fine as long as it has access to shade and water as long as it hasn't been declawed.
