Sensing Pixie Dust I Am! A Star Wars Weekend PTR! New PTR Link pg. 77!

Hi, Megs!!! So glad to have you here! Thanks for the compliment on my ticker -- I had fun making it! Having Katie and Patrick down there will be a great selling point!

When Katie and Patrick were there in May for SWW, Charles wasn't sure why he kept on seeing Star Wars pictures on Katie's Facebook so I explained SWW to him. I think he was intrigued, not intrigued enough to be like "let's a plan trip with them for next SWW!" (he's too practical for that -- pffft ;)) but pretty intrigued. He did keep on asking me, "did you see the picture of [this character]?! They have a whole parade with them?" He also kept on telling me all about the people and characters in the parade. I have told him that they plan to move there and want us to visit, so once that happens I hope I can push on him how much we could save by staying by friends and how SWW would probably be a once in a lifetime thing, and how it would make his first trip really, really memorable :rotfl: Whenever it comes up again I am also telling him one of my DIS friends is going to SWW and show him your pictures. I know, I'm evil. I am never above bribery :rotfl2:

I vote for both snow/Christmas pictures and trip details, but whichever comes first I look forward to reading about it.:surfweb:

I am headed out to Town Center today, and plan to go by the Disney store.

Did you find anything good at the Disney store?

I think it will be snow/Christmas photos first!

:lmao: I am never above bribery either -- all is fair in love and Disney trips! ;)

I'm in! Looking forward to hearing about your plans!

Welcome! Thanks for joining all the fun!

There are six movies and an entire cartoon series called The Clone Wars. Connor and I would be more than happy to sit down and have a Star Wars marathon with you. Connor could fill you in on all the ins and outs of the films. Oh, maybe I will make him do a video for the PTR where he does just that. :rotfl: He needs a haircut first though. He is looking a little shaggy these days.

I have always loved that ride! Can't wait to see what Disney does with it since there is so much more new technology out there than there was twenty years ago when it first opened.

Connor will have his work cut out for him teaching me about Star Wars stuff. :goodvibes Let me know the next time it comes on TV, and I will make a point to watch some of it.

I think it would be cool for him to get his figures and make a movie for us. ::yes::

What I remember from SWW was the brown furry guy, the white soldier guys - bunches of them - the skinny kind of bald girl with only a ponytail and a lot of paint on her face, and the guy all in black. He's Darth Vader, is that right? And Mark Hamil (sp?) is Luke Skywalker, correct? I know the robot is R2D2 and the gold robot thing is C3PO, but I have no clue what those letters and numbers stand for, if that is important.

I have a long way to go, I know, but I still very much enjoy the Star Tours ride, even knowing so little. I also enjoy watching the boys and men flood the store looking at all the Star Wars merchandise. That is one place the guys do get into shopping!

Will do! :thumbsup2 The three made when I was a kid are my favorite -- the newer ones just aren't as wonderful in my opinion.

I think it could be very funny! :lmao: I need to make a note of that so I don't forget it.

I don't know what those letters and numbers stand for, either. It must not be important. ;)

So true! It is always a madhouse in there, and we have the hardest time getting Connor to leave.

Happy Last Day of 2010! Hope everyone has a wonderful New Year’s!

I thought I would share just a couple of pictures from Christmas.

Chelsea and Connor are notorious for waking us up at the crack of dawn on Christmas morning. The night before Charles had told Chelsea, “You can wake us up at 5:00 -- not a minute earlier.” She was in our room at 4:52 Christmas morning to which I responded, “We told you 5:00. Come back in eight minutes.” (I am not my best on less than five hours of sleep.) ;)

Once the unwrapping of presents was underway, Connor donned some festive headgear.

Chelsea was in heaven that Santa brought her two big requests -- a North Face jacket and a Vera Bradley mini-hipster. She wore the jacket the entire time she was unwrapping gifts.

Charles surprised me with actual Disney gifts this year. (He is finally learning that I like Disney stuff. LOL!)

A Mickey necklace! I adore it! It has become a joke whether or not the occasion is “Mickey-worthy.”
027.jpg

A new tree skirt for our tree. It even has peppermint Mickey heads on it! I hate to pack up Christmas because I don’t want to put it away for another year.
029.jpg

Here in Georgia snow is a rare occurrence. Apparently, an actual white Christmas is an even more rare occurrence since the last one was back in the 1880s. We were very excited that Christmas 2010 turned out to be filled with snow! By evening there was enough snow to make snowmen!

When the flakes first started falling, they were absolutely huge!
032.jpg

Chelsea went out back and made a snowman complete with cheese ball eyes and mouth.
033.jpg

Unfortunately, this is what happens when you have dogs and you use food products on your snowman.

They aren’t kissing him…
046.jpg

I think Charles was having as much fun in the snow as the kids. He took them out front and showed them how to make a really big snowman. Chelsea didn’t want to wear her North Face in case she got dirty.

Chelsea took a break to catch snowflakes.

Their finished snowman who Connor christened Bert.

My babies and Bert.

Sadly, Bert has become a victim of thawing. He hung around until yesterday when suddenly he was “Headless Bert!” :scared1:

UP NEXT: Where are we staying?

Awww, both of your snowmen are super cute!

Love your Christmas pictures, I can't believe how much older Connor looks from your summer trip pictures! :scared1:

Happy New Year!! :dance3:

Great Christmas photos, Jackie!

I love the snow pictures. That snowman is huge!

I love that tree skirt. I visited that tree skirt (or one similar) at our Disney Store throughout all of the Christmas season, but never did buy it. Maybe when Gordon and I have been married as long as you and Charles have, he'll also understand that I like Disney stuff!

Jackie!!! I love all these Christmas photos!!!! YAY!!!! :yay:

How fun! TOO COOL the snowman! You got more snow than we did over Christmas! So pretty when it falls, and SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO funny about the demise of the cheese ball snowman face!! Bert is very cute, I love how the snowman is "speckled" with the grass... :rotfl: It gives him character!!!! Like a chia snowman... :lmao: Okay, I thought that was funny... :rolleyes1

ANYHOO.... OHH what a girl. NOT wanting to wear her Northface jacket in the snow... :rotfl2: That had me laughing laughing!!!! Nice Vera pattern for her, too!

Your family making snowmen was a great way to see friends on the DIS this morning!!

Happy New Year's to you too!!!!! :yay:

Just hearing everyone talking about Star Wars weekends is driving me batty!! I am so excited for you guys!!! I can't wait to hear all about the fun there! And NO Jackie, I do not think it is out of character for you to expect Connor to change his Starwars shirt at least three times on your day at DHS!!

Well, you know, Disney Visa did just release the promo where kids get free tickets when you book a package...fits in our dates...:rolleyes1

I live in Texas, so I have only seen 3 snows my whole life, but this reminds me of 2004. This same thing happened with our snow man! Oh, how I love snow, and wish it would occur more often!

Happy New Year Jackie and Clan!!!!!!

Hope 2011 brings many new adventures and much love and happiness to your family!!

Loved the Christmas update, I adore Connor's choice of headgear!!!

WOOT WOOT what a gorgeous necklace and tree skirt!! Phillip is learning too, I got a Beauty and the Beast Snowglobe for Christmas!!! It's been added to my small but growing collection!!!!!

YAY for Chelsea getting what she wanted!! Santa was mighty good to her :rolleyes1 So out of curiousity on a normal day when school is not in session what time does Chelsea get up????

The dogs ate the snowman :scared1: OOOOH...well guess there is a reason why a button nose and two eyes made out of coal LOL!! YAY for a White Christmas LOL!!!!

You graduated from the Miss Anita Wigd School of Enabling, didn't you???

P.S. I just posted an enabling post to you, too. I think it was on jillyb's report. Apparently I was in class with you. ;)

Happy New Year CP family! :) Looks like it was another great Christmas at your house. I love that Charles is really getting in his Disney groove. The necklace and tree skirt are so cute! Glad Santa was good to the kids too. :goodvibes

On the SW topic, Connor can do a video tutorial to tell people all they need to know. Heck, he could probably sell it!

Hope you have a fun night!!

I loved the snow pictures. The snow made for a exciting Christmas day to remember. I love the pattern of Chelsea's bag.

My husband has finally realized a Disney gift is special. I received a small arribas Mickey to go with my Minnie that he gave me for my birthday.

The Disney store had a great sale on t shirts, but none in my size. About all they had left were sizes XS or XL. I guess that was a good thing for my wallet, considering my old washer died mid cycle and I just bought a new washer and dyer.

May 2011 be a blessed year for you.

Chelsea is a super lucky girl! I love her coat and her bag. She has cute taste! And Charles did great with your gifts. Cute stuff!! I bet snow was lots of fun for you down there. Bert is adorable! Sorry he had to melt away though. Happy New Year Jackie! :goodvibes

Love the necklace. It was in my hands last summer and I put it down. Doubt I will let it happen again!

You can have a white christmas... I hate snow and am so happy ours has melted. Stay away snow!
