Sensing Pixie Dust I Am! A Star Wars Weekend PTR! New PTR Link pg. 77!

Oh, I like that he picked it! Yes, yes, must keep the "non" Disney man happen. Although I think non Disney man is turning into more of a Disney man with every trip!

I've waffled on my resort choice but know that this is the year for us to stay at CBR. Especially with our trip being so short, and wanting to take advantage of double beds while the kids are still little. :thumbsup2

Yes, I have come to realize that letting Charles make some of the decisions for the trips is paramount to keeping him happy. ;) I do think Disney may be slowly working its magic on him.

CBR is such a wonderful place to stay -- I think it is the perfect place for you for this trip. :goodvibes

:lmao: I am never above bribery either -- all is fair in love and Disney trips! ;)

Oh, I totally agree. And I can totally picture what Charles would look like or say if I ever said that to him :lmao:

I am so glad you guys got a white Christmas! I was telling my family and Charles that some DIS friends down south were having a white Christmas. I loved, loved, loved the picture of your dogs eating the cheese balls off the snowman's face -- they are so cute!

When are you going back to Mickey's house???

Hmmmmm......I wonder what I am working on today while on the computer??????? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..........................

I know......I will tell you when you tell me! :goodvibes :rotfl2:Love ya girlie!

Sounds like you guys had a fun Christmas! Still can't believe so much of the south had a white Christmas and we had nothing on the ground up here in New York!

Thanks for sharing your fun Christmas pics with us, Jackie.
Hope you are having a happy New Year!
I love Chelsea's bag - I was thinking of getting one like that for our cruise.
Your necklace is so cute - how sweet of Charles to "get" your Disney bug!
I was :rotfl2: at the dogs eating the snowman! So cool you got record snow for Christmas! Looks like some people down there have lived their whole lives with no Christmas snow!:goodvibes

Having snow at Christmas was very neat, but I am ready for warm weather now! ;)

Our dogs are crazy for cheese balls! That was their favorite treat until Santa brought them some gingerbread men dog biscuits. Now, if you say, "Who wants a Christmas cookie?" they go beserk and dance all around.

:rotfl2:

You gave me a good laugh this morning!!! :lmao: LOVE it.

Thanks for the encouragement... :upsidedow

I just really think Nolyn and Griffin should have a chance to wear their Fett costumes again...:rolleyes1 After all, they might have a massive growth spurt before too much longer...;)

Really??? You were working on something Disney related on the computer??? :yay:

I'll see what I can do about updating! LOL!

That is so strange! It has been very strange weather-wise lately.

Thanks for sharing your fun Christmas pics with us, Jackie.
Hope you are having a happy New Year!

Happy New Year! Chelsea's purse actually has quite a bit of room in it. More than I realized before -- it would be perfect for the cruise.

It was the first time the kids have had a white Christmas. My last one was in 1989 when we had a white Christmas in Charleston. That was a very strange year because Hurricane Hugo had hit in September of that year, and then we had snow that Christmas.

:lmao: I'll see if I can find some pictures for an update. ;)

Hello...a little help from your friend...pin codes were leaked. According to another thread, YW3 is the code for 30 off deluxe/ 25 off mods.

(I don't know if anyone else posted...I haven't read the thread this am.)

Thanks, Debbie!!! We booked under Free Dining, so I think that is the deal we are going to go with. I wonder how far the dates extend...

When it came time to start discussing our 2011 summer trip -- which happened soon after we were home from our July 2010 trip -- we thought we might venture someplace other than Walt Disney World. Charles and I talked in great lengths about possibly going to Washington, DC -- the kids had never been, and we hadn’t been since 1993.

Then, Disney opened the new restaurant in Mexico, La Hacienda, and the new restaurant, Via Napoli. There was a new caramel shop in Germany -- I am in love with caramel. We were torn. Have I mentioned before how much we love eating? LOL!

The kicker came when Disney released Free Dining for our dates. What a deal! With four “adults,” not having to pay for the Dining Plan became quite a selling point.

Still, I dithered around until Charles finally said, “We should really take advantage of Free Dining. It seems like a no-brainer.”

Well…if Charles thought we should go who was I to say no? ;) Our dates were pretty easy to choose -- the Free Dining dates that fit with our summer schedule.

Friday, May 27 to Thursday, June 2, 2011.

Anyone who knows me knows choosing a resort is a big deal to me. I really would have liked to stay at a deluxe but that would totally negate the savings from Free Dining. That left the moderates to choose from. We have stayed at all four of them over the years -- Riverside in 2004, French Quarter in 2007 and 2008, Coronado in 2008, and Caribbean in 2009 and 2010. My vote was for Riverside again especially after reading Lady Lallie’s trip report. Charles had different ideas…

So, where did we book? (I shamelessly borrowed photos from the DIS photo thread.)

Coronado Springs Resort!

Why did Charles want to stay there again?

Two words.

Or three words if you include the article.

The Pepper Market.

When we stayed at CSR for a quick spring break trip in 2008, Charles fell in love with the food court there -- namely the nachos they make. We really liked the selection available, and we can’t wait to eat there again.

I am more than okay with staying there. I am excited to stay in those pretty refurbed rooms and walk those gorgeous grounds. Most of all, I am looking forward to stretching out poolside beside the pyramid and partaking of a cold drink (or several) from the pool bar.

Ah, I can almost feel the sun right now!

UP NEXT: Whatever will we eat?

The new room decor is the reason why I would stay at CSR too! So pretty! I have heard nice things about this resort as well -- I think it is great that you are going to be there! It seems really large, but no more so than the other mods, right? That decor I am more than familiar with, spending enough time in the South West! :thumbsup2 I can't wait to hear where you are going to eat!!! :goodvibes Sounds like good times!! I really would love to be there, too! I agree with your logic!!! But I don't think DH will  after all, all is fair in love and war AND DISer enabling!!! ;)

Will you make a request for a specific area to stay at CSR? I wondered how anyone really picked or tried to request a specific area for their room... I think Michelle stayed in a nice area with her mom last spring...

I hope you have decide on some Tshirt designs

We will be at CSR in August!! I can't make a ticker yet because it is a surprise for the kids and they are constantly over my shoulder:thumbsup2

We have taken the kids to DC twice- it is a great place to visit!! If you ever decide to go let me know and I would love to give you some tips!

That is a beautiful place! I have walked around taking pictures there several times. I took a bunch of pictures in Pepper Market, and I could tell the food was delicious.

You can feel the warmth in those pictures! It's in the high 20's here this morning. I am happy to picture myself sitting poolside listening to the sounds of children splashing around and seeing the palm fronds moving with the breeze. :cool2:

Happy New Year!!!

I'm looking forward to reading abbout your plans--will any changes be made???? Excited to see it all unfold:cool1:

Charles is really feeling the Disney magic!! :wizard: Hurrah for free dining! I have also heard great things about the resort and always love looking at pictures of it. I really like the southwest/Mexican influence. Pepper Market sounds yummy. So we know you'll eat there a few times... can't wait to hear where else you are planning on dining!! popcorn::

Hey Jackie! I can't believe you started another PTR! lucky you :) I still haven't even finished your last one lol!!... I just started a "disney fund" to go back with everyone (boys first trip) for 2013 ugh... sooo far away still :(

Love the resort choice!! Although a huge POR fan I have to say the new refurb'd rooms have been calling at me to try there!!

YAY for Charles getting involved in the planning!! There may be hope for other non Disney DHs out there LOL!!!

I'm with C, I want to hear about ADRs LOL!!!

Oooh! Coronado Springs! That will be nice. I would like to stay there someday but I think I'd like to have a car when I stay there. Those new refurbed rooms are quite pretty and they just seem so classy! Probably too classy for me. :lmao:
