Seeing "the world" with twins ?

I get to take my 5YO twin Granddaughters to WDW next June 05!

The only thing is I have never taken TWO 5YOs before.
I have taken their older sisters, but I think this will be a whole different can of worms.
Any info and tips?
I dont know if we should even do MGM. Is Epcot boring for that age? (I love it )

Because we will be at MK most, we hope to stay at the Poly. Our first time there.
I also thought that It might be more affordable to split our stay 3-4 at Poly and 2-3 some place less expansive. I will have APs for myself and DH.

I was thinking of 5 nights, but now I think maybe 6 would be better, so we can go slow.

Anyone with either Twins or 5 YOs out there? This will be there first time and I would like to make it Really REALLY fun for them!

A~ Those kids are adorable!

B~ The more time you can spend, the better off you will be. I always have a clock ticking in my head reminding me of how soon I have to go home.

Also, I see that you plan to stay onsite for at least part of the trip. MAybe if its just you 2 and the 2 girls, you'd be best off to spend the whole week onsite. This would eliminate your transportation concerns all together. Just take it easy, and remember~ you want them to have a good time, but YOU want to enjoy yourselves as well. EPCOT is my granny's favorite, and DD has already been warned that we will be spending a day there, if not 1+1/2. She will be 13, and can be trusted to chill in FW for awhile on her own (doing TT and MS again) if she wants, but I would never rule out a park or activity solely because it would be less fun for her.

PS~ maybe we'll see you there! Be aware of special events in the parks that week. This could bring much bigger crowds to each park on certain days

Elizabeth(littlebit) got my name, but I cant take credit for their looks. Their Mom is a real beauty.(my son had good taste).I call Victoria Victory, because she almost died when she was a few month old, but she is a normal healthy 5 YO now.

B ~ We wont be staying off site at all I was thinking of a mod. or even AKL if I could get a good code.
I picked the Poly because of the Mono. pluse MK, but mostly because this is MY dream resort. I have wanted to stay here for as long as we have been going to WDW. We just could not afford it. I have started saving already to get to stay there.
I dont think there is anything going on at that time. So I hope the crowds wont be any bigger then normal. I plan to go back to the resort in the afternoons to rest, and then go back in the evenings.

I always wear my Lime green Mickey head. So look for me. We should be easy to spot.

Hi Dalpal,

The Poly is an excellent choice, especially if you can get a discount (be sure to check Mousesavers.com). An afternoon break will do wonders to improve everyone's mood, and if you're focusing on the MK, the monorail makes that a snap. The dining at the Poly is also very good.

My DD6 (4 and 5 during her last two trips) enjoyed the MK far more than any other park. She didn't seem to care for Epcot. I think she would have enjoyed the AK a lot, but we didn't have enough time to spend there. If I had to pick a couple of parks to concentrate on, it'd be the MK and AK.

Cute kids! My twin DS have been to WDW at 2yrs, 4 yrs and 5 yrs (we are going again next September while they are 9 yrs - last chance for child's passes!). We have visited Epcot each time and they actually have enjoyed it. They get a little antsy after a few moments when viewing the movies in the countries that have those, but for the most part they do enjoy Epcot. Be sure to visit the Kidcot stations if they still have those - you can make a mask and add to it from every country. Also, it can be fun to get the "passport" and have it stamped at each country that you visit. I found that I could sneak off and shop at the countries while they worked on their mask supervised by DH, so it really was great.

Also, I don't know if your granddaughters usually dress alike, but we intentionally dressed our boys alike at their 2 year old trip so that if the worst happened and I lost one, I would immediately remember what the other was wearing (we have two other kids as well). One of them did actually duck into a bathroom without us noticing, and I panicked and yelled, "Did anybody see a 2 year old dressed exactly like this?" as I pointed at his twin. NOW it's funny, but then, well, not so much.

I am looking forward to sharing WDW with my grandchildren one day - have a great trip.
