How bad are the Sea World crowds on the weekends in early Dec? We have not finalized our dates for our vacation yet but are looking at the full week after Thanksgiving. We're doing Disney as well and the Disney parade taping is likely going on that weekend. So, I wondered if SW gets crazy on the weekends or if it's our best bet. (Or if it's like AK that can get crowded walking place to place but waiting really isn't an issue for the shows during the off-season).

Also, is there any chance Dining with Shamu will be back by then? We did it on our last trip that had SW, in early Feb of 2010, and the kids absolutely loved it.

It should be like Animal Kingdom. But I wouldn't expect it to even be that bad. Early December is a very slow time of the year for Seaworld. You should hardly have any wait time or difficulty walking from place to place.

Dine with Shamu may be back by then. It looks as if they are finishing up any renovations they are doing back there. So we'll see!

When it gets closer to your dates, check for when they have the Holiday event. In 2011 it was most Fri/Sat/Sun in early December. This was a great time at SeaWorld as they had extended hours with the regular shows during the day and the holiday shows and lights in the evening.
