SDV Orlando 2010, August 27 - 29

DIS Divas came after the logo was made.

But if anyone wants to give it a shot at designing, go for it.

I'm not that talented! LOL

Just for other newbies -- here's the 2009 page showing some of the Divas in their shirts:
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2109148&page=8

I think I'll use the nondated one, probably on a lightly tie-dyed shirt (I just can't bring myself to acquire another tee -- and I have a stack of white ones waiting to be tie-dyed. I'm trying to weed out the gazillions of tees and tanks I have acquired over the years as it is).

Hi!

My shirts arrived from Jiffy over the weekend and I'm all set to do the iron-ons. Am I remembering that some of you guys leave off the little stars because they are hard to cut out (since the iron-on sheets are white)? Just wanted to make sure that was right before I attempt to do the iron-on.

Thanks and looking forward to seeing everyone again (and meeting our new friends).

Ann

P.S. Lisa, your PM box has been full for some time! (Much belated) congrats to your national champion Huskies!! I wish we'd gotten to play you again in the Final Four, but I suspect the outcome would have been the same.

I think if you use the iron-ons for dark color shirts you leave off the stars. If you use the ones for light color shirts (which is what I did last year) you can leave the stars. I found a great baby blue shirt at Target for $5 so I still have to find a pink one and then do the iron-ons.

As for what's going on, well, I've been taken off weight lifting for a couple of weeks :sad2: My muscles were feeling very fatigued and recently I couldn't push weights that I've been doing easily for the past few months. I asked my brother (who has been a champion power lifter for years) what he thinks is going on and he said it's classic muscle fatigue and if I keep going it's a good way to get injured. He ordered no weights for 10-14 days. I have to ask him about cardio. I'm still doing yoga and I love the yoga but I don't think I can cut out all cardio for 2 weeks.

DH and I have finished planning our winter vacation to Egypt - super excited :yay: Still have to buy proper clothes and sturdy shoes, but my backpack is purchased (and it's awesome!) and everything is booked and paid for - yay! I've always wanted to go to Egypt and cannot believe I'll be there this year! I've already started to search the Internet for Egypt papers and embellishments. Guess what I'll be working on at SDV 2011 :woohoo:

Wow, Egypt!!! That'll be an awesome trip. Can't wait to see the photos next year!!

:goodvibes Thanks, I am super excited about Egypt! It will be a trip of a lifetime!

Just noticed that NO classes are listed for the July SDVs - - -

guess that's either :sad1: or :woohoo: .........

I noticed that too.

The last classes I saw listed were the ones from the photographer guy and I think his wife (basic layouts).

I know Sally Lynn's not coming, which is a shame. I love her she's really cool.

I think Katie is coming to do classes- she teaches some classes at our local scrap store. I don't think I'm taking any classes though- I'm gonna be busy enough.

I have zero desire to take any of the classes. I think Katy's might be at least intriguing but I'm not bringing my cricut and CDS is useless to me since I have a Mac and won't be bringing that either.

guess I save some money this year!!! Woohoo!!! I'm gonna do pick a pearl with mom instead!

I'd consider the card classes and the my guys page class, the family mini-album, and Peaceful Brooke class. I won't take all of those, but I may take a couple. I don't have an LSS around here so I never get to take classes.

The photography classes could be useful, but I'd rather learn new scrapping techniques.

I'm gonna have my baby Cricut with me (I'll leave my E at home), but I'm not interested in that class. If anyone is interested in borrowing my baby bug for the class, let me know.

Lisa and I took the camera classes last year. The first one was bad, real bad. I opted to skip the second class but Lisa went and she said it was better. I guess he tweaked his teaching style after we filled out the comment cards.

I'm right there with you, Buffy! :thumbsup2
Maybe I'll get more done at the table ... or more shopping :rolleyes1 ...
Assuming there are vendors ... :lmao:
