I just told Jim lasy night I would love to go down for a weekend in May to see Star Wars weekend. With Disney owning the rights now I would love to go one time. He won't go though.

it is fun but it is also very packed. Might even be busier now that Disney owns it.

i particularly enjoyed new fantasyland photos and pics of you and vinny with ariel.

on our first trip to wdw, middle dd was awestruck by ariel as she made such a fuss of her, because her pen for autographs was an ariel one.it was precious.

I loved the Little Mermaid ride and was so happy that we got to preview it. I can't wait for the resst of fantasyland.

I am switching to an update every other day.
The wait went quickly. Probably because it was new for the ride. To actually see her the sign was really off.

Thanks. I have to say I was not impressed with Gaston's. Very cute but really small and the menu is not all that.
You should try going to see the trains. I think we are going back when it is more decorated.
Well you didn't make out very fairly in that situation. Next year you go and someone else stays behind.

After our lunch we had to think of where to go. I wanted to go to PHILHARMAGIC but Vinny wanted to ride IASW. I gave in and that is what we did.
EEK! I see where the crowds were.

I think he really wanted to do Peter Pan but the line was really long. I hate that ride so I will not ride it. Let’s get on a boat.

This ride is usually a walk on in October.

Then we boarded. They put 4 full adults in one row. Vinny was the smallest. Needless to say it was so VERY UNCOMFORTABLE.

We of course had a traffic jam.

And then we were done. It was a fun ride. I do love this ride but not this time being we were packed in like sardines.

Just found your trip report a couple of days ago and now I'm all caught up. I'm really enjoying it! So cool you got into a soft opening of the new Fantasyland expansion! My son, hubby and I are going in January and I'm looking forward to seeing it.

you know one of the times we went by Small World it had lines like that. Not thanks, and I do love the ride. Squished doesn't sound fun though!

The lines were long every time we were back there and the boats always wind up in a traffic jam. I do love the ride though.

I love the video although it scared my dog and cat. Hope it wasn't Vinny singong. I do hum along myself but thankfully noibody tapes me.

Love the Little Mermaid Ride video. That's the thing I am most looking forward to seeing next time we go. I had seen the pics and videos when they first put in at California Adventure and I was so excited they were going to put one in WDW too.

The light fixture.

This would have been my one improvement to this whole area - these should have been made as fans. It is going to be hot in that queue in the summer. We thought it was stuffy even when we went. It is going to be murder when the outside temps are 90 with no air circulating in there. When Sloan and Brandy went, Brandy said Sloan commented that those light fixtures should be made as fans, and I told her that was just what I had said the day before. I guess they didn't want them as fans because of the low ceiling, but that is going to be a heckuva hot line in the summer!

I like IASW too... the Mary Blair art is very whimsical... and the song is really lovely... it just goes on a little bit too long... especially if you're packed in like a sardine...

After our boat ride we decided to go back to Gaston’s area. Surprisingly I took no pics along the way. When we got back to the area Gaston was just leaving so we went into the gift shop. This place was adorable.

I would love a set of these for 8.

Are you shocked they had princess stuff? lol

These were nice.

Can I say I felt like Memom taking all these pics (though she does a much better job).

They do have notices up saying some things were not for sale and only decoration.

Oh how nice.

I think they were limiting it to 4.

Then we left after that. I really do like the place settings. Next we went outside and this was next to the restroom. I think it is adorable for the area setting.

Afterwards we walked over towards the restaurant. I walked on the bridge.

I thought this was beautiful.

This is the stand I believe they will be checking reservations.

Anyway that was the end of our tour of the new Fantasyland for that day. Thank god I saw the tweet from Tracy as I saw something that is going to great when it is fully open. I mean with the dwarfs ride and all.

I wish I would have had more time to explore. The shop looks really nice.

Did you see anyone trying to take the menus for Be Our Guest? That was the funniest thing I saw when I got there. CM's were chasing people down for them. I can't wait til the area is fully open.
