Saving Dole Whip Float Money (Update 2/27: TR Link Posted!)

oh I missed out on that last scrambler.. I'll have to try out the next one :goodvibes

I am a HUGE HSM fan too!! I love all three movies, but agree with you - the third one has just little bit more - and I have an itunes playlist of all three soundtracks! :cool1:
Did you hear rumours of a possible 'Sharpay: The Movie' ?! :cutie:

Emma princess: x

I'll post the next round soon! I was afraid it was either too hard or too boring, haha. Maybe it was just the holiday.

I think the HSM movies are just so fun! Even though they're really corny, sometimes it's good to watch corny movies. Life doesn't always have to be so serious. And when you can't watch the movies, the soundtracks are perfect! I know I'll be going through HSM3 a LOT once I have to start working on lesson plans again.

Haha, a movie on Sharpay?!? No, I haven't heard about it at all!

New Disney T-Shirts!

A few weeks ago, Howard and I headed to the mall to visit the one and only store we enjoy visiting - The Disney Store! I was very interested in seeing if they still had the mug I wanted. They're all so cute, but the one I wanted is the gray one in the middle. It says "I <3 Mickey" on it. Inside the writing are the classic comics.

A029.jpg

It was still a 2 for $12 deal or something like that, and I wasn't sure if I really wanted to get 2 mugs. This is the other one that I liked except that it has Pluto on the other side. I think it would've been cute with just Mickey and Minnie.

A030.jpg

Anyway, I didn't get the mug yet as I have hopes that the price drops more. I wouldn't be surprised if they're out of them by now because it's been a while, but I know Disney will always come out with really cute mugs! The store had other items with the classic comic on it. This bag was one of them that I liked! the price was a bit up there though. It WOULD be a perfect carry-on type bag for February though ... haha.

A032.jpg

If I were younger, I definitely would have wanted these dolls. I actually have a Mulan doll when it first came out, but there was no Shang at the time. Okay okay okay, who am I kidding ... I still want these dolls. As I was looking at the display, I was wondering who decided which couple got the highest point (Pocahontas and John Smith).

A031.jpg

I decided on buying 2 t-shirts that I'll post in a bit. I was standing there deciding when a CM came over and asked if I needed help in finding a size. I told her that the size was there, but I was wondering if the price would drop more from the 2 for $24. She said that was the lowest they'd drop because they were the organic tees. I knew I'd be upset if I didn't buy them, so I found my sizes and went to the counter.

The FUNNIEST thing happened at the counter though. One of the CMs was walking around the store with a Toy Story backpack on and carrying a huge Lotso plush. He plopped him down and asked if we wanted to buy him, but we said no thanks. Then he said that he wanted me to smell Lotso's stomach. Wait, what? Smell Lotso's stomach?

He refused to ring me up until I did. Eventually, Howard sniffed his belly and said it smelled fruity. Then the CM said that because Howard did it, I had to do it now. I told him I was afraid (haha, who knows if it was like, a robotic Lotso who was going to grab my head or talk as I approached!). The CM said I didn't have to worry; this was the nice Lotso and the evil Lotso was "over there" (he pointed to another CM holding the same-sized Lotso to a little kid!!!). Haha, I did eventually sniff Lotso's stomach, but it was just the most random yet hilarious encounter we have ever had at that Disney store!

We finally left the mall, and this is when I saw more evidence of how cute my fiance is. As he was about to step into the car, I noticed that he had his shirt on inside out! Hehe.

A033.jpg

We stopped by Toys R Us and Best Buy after the mall because I wanted to check out their camera cases in person (I ended up ordering a Case Logic one from eBags). Howard and I thought this DS case was really cute!

A034.jpg

It was a pretty fun Disney-filled day despite being far away from the actual World! I was super excited about my purchases, and I already knew that I'd wear them on the plane to and from Disney in 2012 during our Disneymoon (I'd be wearing tank tops in the park). Of course, that was before we had this February trip planned. Since it'll be much cooler then, I can wear these in the parks too!

I love that this shirt is black but it's also nice and sparkly! Also love the neckline.

A043.jpg

I really like the t-shirts that don't have the huge character on the front of the shirt. I feel they make me look shorter for some reason.

A046.jpg

I also like this one because it looks kind of classic and old-fashioned with the crochet-lace design.

A044.jpg

I can see myself wearing this even when I'm much older.

A045.jpg

Love my new purchases, and I can't wait to wear them this February! Of course, if we have a dress down day at school, I'll be wearing it to work first!

Oh, and of course, Disney always has cute bags, but this matches the mug I like! The front and back:

A047.jpg

A048.jpg

Now that we're definitely going back, I think I should make another visit to the store ... what do you think?

Post your final answer when you're done. Have fun and good luck!

Hey Rae! I finally made it over here - your trip sounds like it's going to be so much fun!

I love your game, I've spent way too much time on here figuring them all out  My guess on the most recent one is Figaro. I'll admit, I had to use google search for a couple of them.....

Darn it! I didn't realize SoonerGirl got it! :headache: I was so proud of myself, too! I had to google how to spell Iguanadon, but I knew all of the others! Casey at the Bat is the best. Who can forget the Mudville Nine? :goodvibes

This game is great! It is so much fun to figure it out, and I know you put a ton of work into it. I just wish I could catch it at the right time! It's still fun to go back and play it later, though.

Okay this is my last comment in a row, I promise. I just wanted to comment on your Disney Store experience. That is so hilarious that the CM got you to smell Lotso's belly! I love it when people really enjoy their jobs and have positive attitudes. That makes shopping so much more fun!

I LOVE your shirts! :lovestruc I really like the neckline on the first one, and that design on the second one is gorgeous! I wish we had a regular Disney Store close by. I like the outlet because it's cheap, but they don't have a very impressive selection. Hopefully I will get some cute shirts for my trip for Christmas! Then I can take them on my trip!! :)

Ok I'm really done attacking your PTR with comments now, I promise!

I love the shirts you got at the Disney store, I actually bought that gray one with Mickey and Minnie a few weeks ago too! I can't wait to wear it at WDW, I'm saving it til November to actually wear it!

I keep missing your game! But even when the answers are posted I still try to figure it out, it's fun! :cool1:

I followed the link from your current trip report, but I don't think I've posted to that one yet. :) I'm so happy you and Weird are engaged! I read some of your stuff last year when I was posting on someone else's trip report. I can't remember the poster, but she went to WDW with her two, more educated friends. For some reason, we got off topic when she posted a picture of the ninja in EPCOT and posed some hypothetical question about ninjas. Anyhow, you posted and since you're RachelNinja, I looked at some of the links in your signature and read about your flats. At the time you were writing about the flat adventures, you and Weird were just friends, but you looked so cute together. That's why I'm so happy you're engaged!

I can't wait to hear more about your plans and to finish reading your other trip report! :goodvibes

Ohhh, I wish there was still a Disney store near me!! Great shirts (that lace detailing is sooo pretty)-- I agree, I prefer shirts that don't have huge characters on them. I've been on the hunt for girly, Disney princess-y ADULT tanks forever and have decided they don't exist :-( I bought a great black tank at Disneyland a couple of years ago that had Cinderella's coach rhinestoned (all different colors) on it. It was subtle, and perfect. However, it shrunk in the wash and now it's too short :-(
I think DBF and I are going to the city in a couple of weeks-- the new World of Disney store is open in Times Square!

Woohoo! I'm so glad you're here! I think the trip is going to be so fun and just so different. As weird as it'll be not being there with my family, it'll be nice to have the freedom to do whatever we want in the parks. We don't have to worry about my dad being bored or tired!

Yup! You're right with Figaro! Haha, using Google is fine because I have to use Google for some of the questions too! I don't know the names of the drinks at Club Cool except for Beverly!

:cool1:

That's okay, I'm still proud of ya anyway! Those times that I missed your game because I was away, I still liked looking at the picture before looking at the answers. It's just fun to play! It's also a lot of fun putting it together because I try to find clues that are somehow related to our actual trip or that have some personal significance.

Ooo, I have a school-related explanation as to why I talked about the poem "Casey at the Bat"!

Okay this is my last comment in a row, I promise. I just wanted to comment on your Disney Store experience. That is so hilarious that the CM got you to smell Lotso's belly! I love it when people really enjoy their jobs and have positive attitudes. That makes shopping so much more fun!

Haha, I admit I like the attack!

I especially loved that CM and the other CMs at the Disney Store because of the fact that it's in our local mall. The rest of the people who live where I live have this certain air about themselves. Some of the other stores are just not inviting at all. We've never had a problem at the Disney Store! Funny that you want a regular Disney Store and I'd like an outlet! They should just have both EVERYWHERE!

The shirts are just perfect, in my opinion. The cut makes them a little bit more ... formal (?) than regular t-shirts. I also don't have to feel so young and messy in them. I know when I wear a Disney t-shirt during a dress down at school (our students wear uniforms), I feel as if I'm their age!

I'm glad you're enjoying the game even when you play it later! I'll try to post it as often as I can, but I go back to work tomorrow, so we'll see how much time I have for DIS ... agh!

Hi and welcome!!! I think I know who you're talking about. Does willwriteforears ring a bell? She had some of the wittiest writing I've ever read on the DIS!

It's so amazing how you "remember" the days when Weird and I were just friends. That means you've really "seen" it all! Our friendship, our dating, and now our engagement! Hehe, soon (as in 2012 soon) it'll be our marriage! I love sharing these changes with DIS friends  So glad you're here!

Ooo, take a lot of pictures!!! I hope you find some shirts that aren't so flashy. I mean, I know they're cute and all, but I never know when to wear them. I'm excited to see the new set-up of World of Disney. I was upset when they were closing the other one down because I thought that was going to be it!

Character Scrambler: Round 3 Answers

Congratulations to SoonerGirl who got the correct answer of Figaro from Pinocchio! Here are the answers and a little bit more detail for some of them!

Clue #1: Iguanadon = A
I can't wait to try to get that iguanadon during my Disneymoon! We won't be hitting Animal Kingdom this trip, so it'll just have to wait!

Clue #2: Mudville = I
This was definitely a clue I wanted to include because I was reading a recent issue of Celebrations and saw this in the article about Casey's Corner. The reason why it was special enough for me to remember and use it here is because I've done that poem with a former 6th grade ELA class! Our vocabulary book takes 10 words from excerpts, and "Casey at the Bat" is one of them. I printed it out and read the whole thing out loud to the class during my 1st year of teaching. Now that I know it's Disney-related, I'm going to make sure I have it every year!

Clue #3: Krest Ginger Ale = G
I know the first my family went to Club Cool, I was for some reason drawn to try the ginger ale and thought I'd like it the best. I guess it's because I have ginger ale "often" in comparison to other sodas because it helps calm my stomach. I'll have maybe a can every month or so. My mom, dad, and I can also split one can after we have pizza or fried chicken (Matt can drink an entire can on his own~). Anyway, I think I was convinced that this was my favorite one until I tried the one from Mexico, yummy!

Clue #4: Cannonball = O
As I recently wrote in an update on my TR, I find this song really funny. It's not the meaning that's funny, but it's just the phrasing of it! I hope it doesn't make me sound insensitive because I'm fully aware of the significance; it just became one of those songs that Howard and I try to sing but instead of singing the correct words that we don't know, we make up our own!

Clue #5: Character Connection = R
It's really cool to know that they make it easier for families to visit all the characters. Mom encouraged me to do it this past trip because there weren't many families on line, but yeah ... I'm still kinda scared ... I mean, who's inside?

Clue #6: Finn Whitman = F
For those of you loved VMK, if you go on VMKRevisited, Finn Whitman is in the Castle Forecourt! If they ever make movies out of the Kingdom Keepers series, I'm really curious to know who they'll cast as Finn and the other kids. If they do, I hope they pick kids who are new to acting.

Lastly, the reason why I chose Figaro is because I was thinking about some of the foods and snacks that I want my cousin and her boyfriend to be able to try come February. Then I began thinking about one snack that I'll never be able to try - Figaro Fries from Pinocchio Village Haus! In 2008, I was hoping to try it, but I think they already changed part of the "recipe" for it. Then I read that they got rid of it completely. Sad.

Character Scrambler: Round 4

Directions
1. Figure out the word or words for each clue.
2. Identify the mystery letter from each clue.
3. Unscramble all the mystery letters to reveal the mystery character, which will be a character in any Disney movie!

Clue #1 (2 words / 2nd letter in 1st word): __ __ __ / __ __ __ __ __ __
In the past, many WDW guests purchased a plush character that could give information and function as a personal tour guide in the parks. When the character had something to say, it would shake and giggle!

Clue #2 (3 words / 4th letter of 3rd word): __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ / __ __ / __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __
Uncle Orville can be found in this attraction.

Clue #3 (1 word / 2nd letter): __ __ __ __ __
In the world, there is just one moon and one golden sun, but what means means friendship to everyone?

Clue #4 (2 words / 2nd letter of 1st word): __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ / __ __ __ __
Guest can walk through this restaurant to find a turnstile that's not as well-known to enter the Animal Kingdom.

Clue #5 (2 words / 1st letter of 2nd word): __ __ __ __ __ __ / __ __ __ __ __
If the line for a popular attraction like Test Track or Expedition Everest is too long, you can always get on this line if you don't mind being separated from your party.

Clue #6 (2 words / 3rd letter of 2nd word): __ __ __ __ __ __ / __ __ __ __ __
Other than Disney Hollywood Studios, this is the other place where you can participate in the Animation Academy.

Mystery Letters (scrambled): __ __ __ __ __ __
Mystery Character (unscrambled): __ __ __ __ __ __

Post your final answer when you're done. Have fun and good luck!

Hmmm, I know all of the clues except the one about the Animation Academy. I know you can do it at California Adventure but I don't think that fits...

But I think I know the character, it is Megara! (posted it in white!!).

Character Scrambler: Round 4 Answers

Congratulations to wdwgirl03 who got the correct answer of Megara from Hercules! Here are the answers and a little bit more detail for some of them!

Clue #1: Pal Mickey = A
Though I don't think I ever could have justified the cost of purchasing a Pal Mickey, the thought of owning one years ago did cross my mind. I think that's why I was very eager to get the little Mickey as my mascot! I told Howard about Pal Mickey, so when we were at Disney this past April, I would hold out my hands as if I were Pal Mickey and I'd shake and giggle. Haha, once Howard pressed my hand, I'd spout out some random Disney fact that I knew based on the area we were lcoated!

Clue #2: Carousel of Progress = G
As much as I love this show, I got a little scared of it after learning of things coming alive at night in Kingdom Keepers. Carousel of Progress wasn't involved in any of the books so far, but if it was ... oh boy, I don't think I'd be able to step into that revolving theater ever again!

Clue #3: Smile = M
Kingdom Keepers!!! That's all I'm going to say about that.

Clue #4: Rainforest Cafe = A
There used to be a Rainforest Cafe in a mall in Jersey. I refused to walk on that side of the mall because it freaked me out. I mean, even being on the outside of the restaurant was too much. There were big butterflies stuck to the walls, and I couldn't move. So considering there's a turnstile that's not as busy that goes THROUGH this restaurant ... um ... I might have to wait with the crowds of people.

Clue #5: Single Rider = R
The single rider line always reminds me of NikkiLovesWDW's song "Single Riders" that you sing to the beat of "Single Ladies"! It's HILARIOUS.

Clue #6: Disney Quest = E
When I first heard about this place, I immediately was drawn to it because I figured that I'd be able to do all these things that I would never do in real life! Virtual just sounds so fun! I remember how it was just this amazing technological concept in the 90s. However, I then read that some people can get sick on some of the rides, and I knew it wasn't going to be for me then. I am so afraid of getting sick from a ride, which is why I avoid any that might even have that potential. Anyway, the only thing I still want to try here is Astro Blasters or whatever it's called even though I know the vehicle spins when its hit!

Lastly, the reason why I chose Megara is because I really like the song "I Won't Say I'm In Love." Haha, it's not a song true to my life, but I just think the song is really fun. Two years ago during our church's coffeehouse, Howard had to sing "Go the Distance," so that's why we watched Hercules on DVD, and I listened to the music online. Once in a while, I just come back to this song, I don't know why! I just think it's really funny that Megara is voiced by Susan Egan who was later in the Disney Channel movie "Gotta Kick It Up!" Haha, don't tell me I'm the only one who saw that ...

I was too slow in getting here this time!

I didn't know you could do the Animation Academy at Disney Quest either. I was just like Sarah, thinking "I know I did it at California Adventure, but it doesn't fit"!

It's okay, you'll still have plenty more chances to play since the trip is so far away!!! It seemed very close yesterday ... then I started work today ... haha.

I'll be posting it during different times of the day. Haha, obviously it won't be during school hours though!

I missed it again! :headache: Well, you posted fourteen minutes ago, so maybe you're making one right now...I'll hang around for a bit to see... :rolleyes1

Dang nabbit! I missed it for the 4th time. I'm beginning to notice a pattern, how about you?;) I was closer this time! I will definitely be checking again tomorrow. Can't wait for the next round!:goodvibes
