Can anyone tell me about this? According to Allears, it's a program where you pay extra money to 'scuba' with the sharks, etc for a half hour. Has anyone does this? Since Shark Reef is my main reason for choosing Typhoon Lagoon over Blizzard Beach, I thought this would be very cool.

My husband and son (9 yrs) did this..it was the reason we went to the park. It was pretty cool..scuba diving with tropical fish and teeny shark. A small pool that you swim from one end to the other. While there was a lot of hype with regard to rushing there and making the most of it, we went right there when the water park opened and I think they could have spent as much time scuba-ing with the fish as they wanted to (it's off the beaten path)

The snorkeling is free at Sharks Reef. I believe the scuba diving has a fee. I think they also have lessons but I don't know how much it costs. At least when I was there the last time (June '05), it looked like they were giving lessons. You can watch through a glass window by going down in the tunnel between the two pools.

One side of the pool is for snorkeling and the other is for scuba diving. We like going to TL because of the snorkeling and also the wave pool is our favorite! ;)
